Dr. Chavez to the rescue ;D eat some freaking carbs!!!!
If your body does not have enough carbohydrates and has too much protein, it enters into a state known as ketosis. Ketosis is the accumulation in the blood of ketones (byproducts of fat oxidation) and represents the body’s adaptation to fasting or starvation. The theory behind low-carbohydrate diets is that inducing a constant state of ketosis cause people to lose weight regardless of how many calories from protein and fat are consumed because it causes the body to eventually burn fat for energy. Ketosis increases insulin resistance and glucose intolerance. Insulin resistance is a major risk factor for the development of coronary artery disease, and glucose intolerance has been linked to hypertension and dyslipidemia. Maintaining a state of ketosis can also result in mild dehydration because the kidneys are burdened by having to rid the body of excess nitrogen. This can cause dizziness, headaches, confusion, nausea, fatigue, sleep problems, and worsening of kidney problems.

I have had this problem for years, way before I even knew what a carb was and I stuffed my fat face with them.
Will look into the other stuff, thanks.

there are a lot of things it could be, as mentioned above, some level of diabetes is possible. Or enlarged prostrate and don't forget, if you've had the problem for years, doing things like having a no carb diet will only exasperate the problem. You will send your kidneys into overtime with this diet you're on and if you've already had this problem, well you're smart enough to figure out what that means.

Because I can't stay asleep and I always have to get up to piss and can't fall back asleep.
oh ok, try drinking less before you go to sleep.

You may have a sleep apnea or snoring problem, not kidney.
Your snoring or labored breathing awakens you, and you feel like pissing. However, the problem is the narrow nightime air passages, not anything to do with bladder control.
I had the same problem, and learning to use a cpap fixed it.

I just thought it was strange that you went to sleep apnea as plausable for frequent nightime urination.

I think it is psychological. Just like many of us are in the habit of waking up at the same time in the morning no matter how little sleep we get, I am in the habit of waking up once at night to piss. I do this every single night and I don't usually even really need to. I just can't get back to sleep unless I get up and do it. This is from my competitive days when I would get up 5x nightly to piss during the last weeks. For me, it's just an old habit. I NEVER sleep through the night.

I pee alot at night if I drink a lot of water at night. If I don't drink much then I am fine. I usually have a jar of ice water next to my bed I sip on at night when I am thirsty. I love ice water
-
rubber sheets are the answer.

Do you mix sugar into it?
rubber sheets are the answer.
Best advice so far.
On a side note: I have seen some commercial on german TV about a OTC drug that contained Saw Palmetto and some pumpkin seed extract.
You're in Korea, go and see a traditional korean doctor. He will give you some stinking shit tasting herb tea that will cure you from anything.

I think my man is on to something...

What is Nocturia?
Nocturia can be defined as awakening from sleep to voluntarily urinate. It differs from enuresis or bed-wetting, where the person does not arouse from sleep, but the bladder empties anyway. Until recently, nocturia was thought to be caused by a full bladder, but it is also a symptom of obstructive sleep apnea. What actually causes nocturia is still being investigated. Some researchers believe that one event per night is within normal limits; two or more events per night may be associated with sleep deprivation.
How Apnea Causes Nocturia
Umlauf explains that during episodes of sleep apnea, the soft structures in the throat relax and close off the airway, setting into motion a chain of physiological events. "Oxygen decreases, carbon dioxide increases, the blood becomes more acidic, the heart rate drops and blood vessels in the lung constrict," says Umlauf. "The body is alerted that something is very wrong. The sleeper must wake enough to reopen the airway. By this time, the heart is racing and experiences a false signal of fluid overload. The heart excretes a hormone-like protein that tells the body to get rid of sodium and water, resulting in nocturia."

wow, sounds like you found out what's causing your problems.

wow, sounds like you found out what's causing your problems.
I sure hope so. Right now it is just speculation and I must be tested. I would prefer having this to a psychosomatic issue because it can be treated in a direct way.

Don't you have sleeping problems as well Hugo?
not really so much of a sleeping problem as much as a problem with time to sleep.
