Agreed! Steve Kuclo looks awesome. Strong as hell too. I will be watching "Project Superheavyweight" again very soon. Awesome DVD:
http://www.bodybuildingpro.com/justinharrisprojectsuperheavyweightdvd.html
Justin Harris is also strong as hell, even stronger than Steve if you can believe it:

... and this is how a top pro in the making trains!

I see we have Sherlock Holmes on board ::)
I'd be throwin it up like that too, no biggie, if I was on the amount of shit this guy takes, whatever.
-
Yea, Kuclo is a strong sonovabitch. Future Pro? I doubt it. Top NPC amature for a long time until he stops competing to focus on the finer things in life? For sure.

He has a bit of refrigerator look going on there. Impressive, sure, but top pro, nah. Reminds me a bit of Cutler. A block.
-
Wide waist, no striations, uneven nipples and massive gyno. Long way before he's a pro.

men have turned pro, won pro shows, even won the olympia with worse gyno than that

Fixed.

Are you a fuckin Twink/Bottombich?

Steve needs to lose the Guido hairstyle.
-

haha....yeah, cause Cutler isn't a "top pro." If a golfer reminded you of Tiger Woods, would you also claim he will never be a top golfer. lol
-
Steve needs to lose the Guido hairstyle.
Yah he should be bald like all the rest of them... or be like Wolf and go to his barber and ask for "The Cutler"...
Yea, Kuclo is a strong sonovabitch. Future Pro? I doubt it. Top NPC amature for a long time until he stops competing to focus on the finer things in life? For sure.
Why would you say that, Block? If Steve doesn't get a pro card in your book, then who would? Surely not The Lunch????
-
I would love to fuck you Debussey
You = of low quality. Not a chance.

Haha!
But I found that clip of him squatting to be very inspirational.

Hi, A L E X 23 ;)
-
haha....yeah, cause Cutler isn't a "top pro." If a golfer reminded you of Tiger Woods, would you also claim he will never be a top golfer. lol
Yeah I should have clarified more what I meant. I meant the type of physique, a block-like appearance, the muscles do not 'pop' when you hit poses. A fairly heavy looking bone structure. Cutler has done well with what he has, no doubt. :D
-
Good capped delts, good chest, and nice calves. Not enough to make the pros.
-
Hi, A L E X 23 ;)
Thought you may have commited suicide since your boyfriend Waddy got banned, its not too late.

Moderately reminiscent of Troy Zuccolotto

I was thinking the same exact thing.... As long as Steve doesn't get injured he'll turn pro either this year or next year. He just needs to be a little bigger everywhere and he'll EASILY take a pro card.
-

That is just a gratuitously rude remark. Got evidence to back up your claim?

you're an idiot if you think just "taking juice" will get you as strong as steve is.

Isn't your Indian name "SquatsOnNeedles"? ???

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
yeah, sure you would.
except now you are 160 pounds soaking wet and need to put others down to build your own ego and hopes that maybe one day, if you drink your mega mass 2000 shakes and follow the latest routine in your men's workout magasine who's pages you have managed to stick together with your bodily fluids, you'll break 200 pounds and fill out that medium sized tap-out t shirt your wear with pride when you workout.
good luck with that 'enanthator'.
lol.

Yes there is, actually... I'm very cranky this morning. I woke up to find out that I'm out pancake mix. NOW what am I gonna eat? ???

Only needs a couple of pounds on his upper body and he'll be a pro. Legs are pro quality.

you think he has an aesthetic build, or a mass monster build, columbus?
There's no denying he looks great: proportions, size, and all that. If that's what you mean by aesthetic, then yes.
Of course, if you mean "Bob Paris/Frank Zane" aesthetic, then obviously not, because that look is not rewarded in the NPC today. At any rate, Steve competes as a superheavy and is pretty "aesthetic" by superheavyweight standards.
He also has the mass. He is not an all-out gung-ho gotta-get-huge-right-away-at-all-costs mass monster like The Lunch, but I guess he could qualify as a mass monster.
-
Columbus, what are you smokin?
Steve K. will never turn pro!
What a joke this thread is!!! ;D ;D
-
personally i think he has the best of both worlds. the waist of the mass monsters, but the size of the aesthetics. :D

Do you think your friend has a better chance of turning pro than Steve? ???
In all seriousness, I think Steve's arms have infinitely better shape, genetically speaking.

Without question....Are you serious?
Will Steve compete in the Jr. Nats or USA's this year??
Once upon a time they were on the same playing field, but not anymore.
-

Yeah man, I am being serious in this thread.
Will Steve compete in the Jr. Nats or USA's this year??
I have no idea. I am not privy to such information :)
Maybe Dante or Troponin will tell us if they see this thread?

Mass, Size, and Total Potential is what I am talking about.
Take the pics of Trey in competition shape and compare with Steve's and there is no compairson who would win!
I think Steve is a good NPC BB and can win all the regional shows he wants, but in my opinion he will never get his pro card. He just doesn't have anything that is overly impressive to me. No "wow" factor.

You mean like Trey's back, or FDB? ::)
And notice you said "Mass, Size, and Total Potential." The third of these is vague, but BODYBUILDING IS ABOUT MORE THAN MASS AND SIZE. It's not called "massbuilding." Trey obviously overdid it with the bulking, as his offseason pics show, and STILL didn't address his back.
I don't mean to be harsh on Trey or raise expectations, but shit, with the way MD/BSN were hyping him, you'd think he was the Messiah of bodybuilding and would just be handed a pro card as soon as he stepped on stage at the USA's.
-
With all due respect to Steve, I have to agree with Donthate regarding the possibility of Steve turning Pro. He'll definitely be a serious contender, but based on those photos, I don't think he has the potential to make it happen.
Good luck to him though and I'd be feeling darn fine if he proves me wrong.
-
He has a wide waist cause hes not in shape..he could be a pro with some work

Steve pwns y'all!!!

Not hating, you obviously don't know anything about bodybuilding if you think all it takes is drugs. That's ok, you must be a novice. :)

No, I mean like Trey's legs. Sorry Columbusboy but your friend looses this battle by a long shot!
Trey hasn't even competed yet and everyone is judging him on his guest posing shots that were mandatory appearances by BSN. Oh well, guess only time will tell when the jr nats and USA's roll around.

yes, Trey does have stand-out legs, but stand-out body parts do not necessarily translate to success on the national stage (as opposed to the local, regional...). In fact, having such huge legs for the rest of his body might count against Trey, in terms of symmetry and proportion, etc. Mass isn't everything.
And Steve's legs aren't all that small either :)
-
Good to see an intelligent conversation here about an upcoming contender in the national ranks. Keep it up guys. Interesting reading when the "haterz" are not participating.
-
I see we have Sherlock Holmes on board ::)
ALL DRUGS....
-
The guy looks pretty good but he,s 2 weeks out in those competition pics. When he nails his diet he will be really good.
-
Steve is a real strong dude.
The vids of Justin Harris and him are inspiring.
-
I think people forget that Steve is barely drinking age in those photos.
With many competitors not turning professional until their mid to late 30's, Steve has plenty of "future" in which to turn pro.
Steve won the overall at a national qualifier before he was able to buy alcohol legally. Will he turn pro? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on that.
The point that needs to be emphasized is that he has 15 years until he reaches his "prime" in which to try.
-
ALL DRUGS....
ALL JEALOUSY

Looks great. Awesome development given his age
He might make it to the pro level, but I doubt he would be in the top tier - given his structure.

I agree with this, although there are some exceptions like Gaspari who burn out early and I can't imagine Steve can continue to progress as he has been, especially in strength. There is only so much the human body can handle. I think he can be pro though. He is only 22 after all.
-
whats his name, how old is he, what shows has he won
Steve Kuclo,
22,
NPC Capital City Classic 1st Place Teen, Teen Overall,
NPC Michigan Bodybuilding State Championships 1st Place Teen
NPC teen nationals heavyweights,
Motorcity Championships Superheavy and overall champion,
North American Championships - Super-HeavyWeight, 8th <---first national show
and a pro within the next 5 years.
And just for you Candizzle.....one more guy who stays above 260 EASILY clean as a whistle because heavy weights and food (ala being Justin Harris's protoge and being taught how to actually depend on heavy weight training and food as tools for much of the year) were shown to him to be the keys.
-
Dante, are you implying that Steve needs to come to Getbig and learn how to be a mass monster from this epic beast? ???

His shape is kinda bad and he'd look better with more size(which he can certainly hold). Dude's youtube videos are pretty inspiring. I hope he does turn pro.

But why is it that every "camera guy" feels the need to add their stupid comments....if I heard him say "easy" like that when I am training, with that slow meathead accent, I would go nuts!
Just SHUT UP and film fuckers...

Sorry. nothing against the kid personally, but I don't see what the big deal is. He's got his name out there, and he's some good people behind him......I'll give him that. But I don't see much potential there. he's been seriously training and cycling for years now, he should be a lot more impressive. Sean Ray at 21 destroys him
-
Sean is in a whole other class and also half a foot shorter
I see your point but I still think that being a super-heavy weight at 21 years old is incredible

I'm just no good as a scripted thespian. I wanted to throw the cue cards away and give my motivational words from the heart, but the collective meathead actor's guild insisted I stick to the script.

Justin, do you know whether Steve plans on competing this year? If so, what shows?
I'm not sure.
He's with the Dallas Fire Department. I believe he is finishing up his first year this summer.
From what I understand, they work a typical 5 day/40 hour work week the first year. After that time, they move to the typical hour split.
I'd imagine he will wait until he's completed his first year in the FD.
-

Why would he waste his time with hard honest work...
especially when there's a lucrative BB career to be had ?!!!

Damn, a bodybuilder with a serious work ethic and a real job! What gives?! All those guys who can't work normal jobs because it cuts into their training and tanning and eating need to hear this!!!
I'm not sure what kind of fitness requirements the fire departments would have, and I don't know if you can answer this Justin, but is being a superheavyweight bodybuilder (270, 280 lbs +) an impediment at all in his line of work? Do they have to run sprints or climb ladders in under 10 seconds or something?
-
Justin must make the calender all year aound.

We did a physical assessment for a Fire department in Indiana once. There was some change in the insurance for the department. They were all given a graded exercise test, ECG, Echocardiogram, blood work, and typical physician's inspection. 3 or 4 of them weren't able to complete the treadmill test because they exceeded the weight limit of 375lbs.....
I know they had daily 5 mile runs for his academy. I would certainly have trouble with those.
I don't see his size having many advantages, but I don't think he's had much trouble with the endurance tasks.

I've NEVER seen a fat firefighter...some thick guys maybe, but obese?!
Seeing a fat cop doesn't make any sense to me either...but a fat firefighter?! At least not here in So Cal

Havent seen me lately have you? When you go up to 290-300 and hang there for awhile at an offseason training weight, it allows you to diet down to a lean 260lbs (presently)
Keep plugging away there champ, you'll get over that 175lb barrier in no time.

Sorry bro, that was kinda harsh..... I went back and re-watched them again. You were not nearly as bad as I first thought and last thing I wanted to do is insult your intelligence, my bad all the way!
When I first was watching them this morning, all I could think of was this annoying guy that trained with me and a buddy back in the day. He distracted me so much with his little fucking sayings, I went insane! I actually tweaked a hammy once because of him chirping in my ear.
