Most natural people only work on their biceps, chest and calves, the only noticeable bodyparts when wearing shorts and t-shirts in summer.

Yeh, I like feeling strong though, so I love training legs. I'm kinda torn on this one  :-\

this is a very difficult question

remember before you say upper body that both glutes and calves are lower

but of course bigger upper body doesnt mean glutes or calves wont be very well developed just significially smaller

i wonder what your preference would be in women - bigger upper body or bigger lower body?

this too is a very delicate question

i suggest you think it over before you reply.

its f'in ridiculous when you see these guys in the gym benching, curling, screaming "light weight" at each other and there legs look like a couple of bicycle spokes. BTW, these are often the same guys working out in the stained wife beaters

but i had to pick one, im still at the upper

maybe their growth potential is limited to either upper or lower and they made a decision

knowing this maybe you would see them in a different light

sometimes we dont know the truth that lies beneath

big legs don't get any attention unless you go out to a club/bar and pull your pants down.

i notice quite a few of you respond with the body that gets the most attention

is this the reason you work out so you will get noticed? thats interesting from a sociological psychological perspective.

i never thought about that before

I get personal satisfaction from lifting and seeing my body grow.  But its a good bonus if you get attention from others as well.

LOL. At my age, my perspective is informed by physiology, not ego. Give it a few years, it might happen to you.  :)

many female wants to bury their face into a pair of well developed hamstrings and pour honey over them and lick with the tip of their tongues i speak of personal experience here from my nights on italy beaches

Most things humans do is for attention love

love contributes to one's well being/hapiness.

bodybuilders mostly lift weights to get bigger, hence get attention (love) and , in their deformed and insecure mind get "happier". Problem is muscles won't get you positive attention or true love, but only superficial attention from superficial people , if not hate and  incomprehension from most "normal" people.

That's why bodybuilders often fail at finding hapiness in the pursuit of getting bigger muscles .

I focus on my legs as much as i focus on my upper body.

For me it is all about the lower body for sure. Yes, I am saying I would rather have a better developed lower body. Nothing strikes fear, intimidates the weak and represents power than a large lower body. Sure you won't fit in a pair of jeans for your waist size! but nothing pisses people off more than a guy with a large upper body and a weak lower body. i.e. "that guy is massive" "haha yeah but he is a lollipop look at those stick legs, all beach weights" Whats more impressive Joel Stubbs or Tom Platz?

What we could take from this is balance is intregal to the bodybuilding pursuit. Consider this, do you always want to have weakness? Do you want to be known as the pussy with no legs but all beach weights?

Joel is already more impressive because he's tall, then im not even talking about his muscles yet so thats immediately more pussy than platz who was a little midget freak who got stared at with grossness.

for me i would actually choose upper body, mine sucks...

i have 18 inch calves and big legs, nice hamns, pretty strong deadlifting and squating...

but my upper budy pretty much sucks... i dont look like a bodybuilder if you only see my upper body... :(

i dont know, i have done soccer since i learned to walk, maybe that is why i have nice legs or somenthing...
i havent done steroids yet... only hgh for about 2 months... i love it... lets me eat anyfuckingthing i want and still show abs... :P

whatabout platz

he loved the feeling he got from squats

that doesn't mean he preferred big legs over great upper body
