my bis cramp up..
this is a recent occurance..so i've been doing what i call "half assed curls" where i reverse direction before i get all the way up..

i have been doing that with all my exercises..
i started training again about 5 months ago and i need to get my mind muscle link back...
i firmly believe in
better quality of contraction = better quality workout

In theory, yes. In real gym time, no. Quarter to half rep's seem to be the norm among some top BB's and the Pro's. Never seen a full contraction, let alone a full ROM. Good Luck.

i do understand the need for a target ROM...however training is so much more fun when you can properly feel your muscles and get a decent pump..
and one needs to learn how to do the above..unless you r a genetic freak and your insulin sensitivity is off the charts..

i do that during deadlifts!
sometimes i even play a on the edge game of prairie doggin! ;D

Toxy, the same thing happens to me, only that it happens when I do ez preacher curls.

I know but mind-muscle's not just about squeezing the muscle, it's not essential.

The answer's right there, mind-muscle's more than squeezing so avoid it if it's causing probs. Simple. In fact partial ROMs done properly are great for mind-muscle and don't involve squeezing.

You need to have muscles to establish a mind muscle connection so you are wasting your time. Maybe you should take up a different hobby that you are more suited for, like sitting in a bar by yourself getting rejected by women. You would be great at that.
