PRINCETON, NJ -- The latest Gallup Poll Daily tracking update on the presidential election finds John McCain and Barack Obama exactly tied at 45% among registered voters nationwide..
Voter preferences had been fairly evenly divided for the past week, with Obama generally holding a slight advantage of two or three percentage points. This is the first time since Gallup's May 31-June 4 rolling average that Obama does not have at least a slim advantage over McCain. Obama's largest lead to date has been seven points. Since the changes from Tuesday's results are well within the margin of sampling error, it is unclear at this point if today's results represent a further tightening of the race. The last two individual nights of polling have, however, been more favorable to McCain that what Gallup has shown for most of June. -- Jeff J

according to www.pollster.com, which collects polling data from many polls... obama leads everything but this one. this is the only poll where mccain is tied.
So either this one is wrong, or the other 50 polls are wrong. Who knows?

Doesn't look like Obama got much of a bounce from winning the nomination. I heard some speculate that the smaller the bounce, the stronger argument Hillary would have to be on the ticket.

We all know that nationwide polls mean nothing. Obama could win 52% of vote and still lose electoral.
You started this thread to gloat about mccain being tied nationally. You have 1 source out of many national polls saying otherwise.
State polls are compltely different and the only ones that matter.

Another failing in logic. Who is posting polls? I'm not. I realize they don't mean much. Then who does that leave? Strong Obama supporters? If i was a strong Obama supporters I wouldn't post polls with McCain winning. Are there Polls with McCain winning? I'm sure there are. There are tons of polls out there.

To be honest, It's might as well be all I give a fuck about right now but you're wrong, there are several things I like about Obama and have backed at various time in various threads so that's kinda unfair. But If I have to say what my number one issue is, it's any direction other than the one we're on. So yea, when that's my main beef, I'll be talking about McBush. That's a lot of people's beef and whether you like it or not there's a much better chance we keep the course under McCain and you and everyone else knows it. There's a much better chance that we take a different path with Obama.

Simple questions that I'd like simply answers to. McCain has a record of being pretty damm moderate...he's neither a NEOCON nor a CON for that matter. I would have prefered Romney so I'm not a McCain fan...atleast his policies. I admire him and all he's done for this country. What exactly has Obama done....what are his qualifications. He has a limited record...FACT. He has questionable relationships with people who don't like this country...FACT. He's going to raise taxes....he's not pulling out of Iraq....debate the points.
