I've noticed a rather odd trend that most of the responses come in this part of the forum. I'm just curious how a lot of the natural guys on this forum train. Do most do splits still, one or two bodyparts a day, positive failure, once/twice a week, etc.? I was considering changing up my routine to working bodyparts twice a week. Anyone have a noticeable difference by doing this? I'm in an overly analytical mode at the moment.

I think its essential to do chest twice a week. Heavy session and light session will work wonders.

I train 4 days a week, train each bodypart once, high volume.
p.s the guy who said training chest twice a week is ideal is full of shit. The light workout will do nothing but slow down the recovery for the next heavy session.

If you want muscle size, once i week is the best option, i assure you of this.
If you want strength then it can be better to train the bigger bodyparts twice a week, but you are not a powerlifter so why would you give a shit about strength.

How do you post pics on here so you have an idea of what I look like/coming from? I've tried using image shack before but it came up wrong. I used to train Max-OT style and had some good gains in some areas (chest) but not so in others (legs).
I've just been reading a lot that your body is recovered well-before the week is over (provided you don't train to positive failure or absolute failure on each set) and was just curious as like I said I got rather strong but in some areas was/am lacking.

Yeah, I saw that in one of your threads a bit back. I've often told my mom I wished she would have put me in gymnastics at a young age as I wouldn't have to try to get jacked as I would already be.

Honestly, I like to do both, but I often wonder why I could lift a lot more than a lot of people yet am not as big/lean as them so I guess I am leaning more towards size nowadays.

Find a bodybuilding routine/split you like and use it. Lots of different ideas and theories out there, don't let them confuse you.

I train a double split 7 days a week, consume 5000 calories, and make sure to take my BCAA's and luekic, shitkic & crapkic.
FLEX magazine says you can get "big like the pros" by simply following the routines/diets. Steroids aren't mentioned, so I'm sure a magazine with the integrity of FLEX wouldn't leave them out if they were indeed used.

No legs or back. Legs are definitely horrid compared to the rest of me. Like I wrote, they simply didn't respond to Max-OT for some reason. I've started using the hack squat machine as my main leg exercise now (as opposed to squats) and it seems to work better for me than squats do.

You know what i'll go with twice a week per muscle, like most of the top BBs of the last 4 decades, over your hunches. ;) And it doesn't have to be a heavy/light split either, that's just one way.
The standard excuses-more than once a week burns me out, or that drugs are necessary for twice a week is not only bullshit, it's laziness.

you have a mild case of gyno, i believe the term is "puffy nips", if you took drugs they would grow into fullblown titties. And since you have it without taking any drugs, the only way to correct it is surgery costing 3000-5000$.

You have decent muscle.
Frequency of training of each bodyparts is all depend on Intensity,rest condition(Your job:use your body, Can you take a nap?) and nutrition.
If your training intensity is low, you can train twice a week. But I think you will remain the same in this way.
So you train hard. Then rest condition and nutrition are the key to decide your recuperation speed which decide your training frequency.

I agree that training each bodypart twice a week is the go, I like it especially for chest, as long as the volume isnt too great.

I hit each muscle group 2 times a week, I train between 3 to 4 days a week depending on goals at the time, I train between 30 - 45 minutes each session. I have done two cycles of PHs in my 11 year training career so I don't know if I can be considered a natty anymore.

i train every bodypart once a week. pretty high volume. heavy mostly but also some light sets at the end.
i'd say, if you have the energy/time to train more often, then do it.
but i would get sick of training if i did it like 8-10 times/ week.
4-5 is enough for me..

I'm not going to lie to you guys as I detest/hate people who do that. I did run what is supposedly the most mild ph last september (1,4 AD Bold), that supposedly doesn't aromatize, etc. and did everything properly (took precautions above what was recommended and cut it short because I felt terrible on it), however it shut me down still to this day (have seen several doctors, etc.) so I've lost everything and than some unfortunately from where I was in the beginning. It was the worst decision of my life and I'll never do that again. I can say (however) that I am sort of glad that it did because if it had worked out well I may have continued to do it. Fair warning to everyone who messes with that stuff.

I cant stand volume anymore. I like blasting a body part for two good exercises and move on.

in general i train the same....medium to low volume, progressive + at the 2. half of each training routine as intense i can be......
i train for over 27 Years now....i did 3 cycles in that time (first after 15 yrs. of training), been off for 3 yrs + 4 months now, and my natural strength level with 44 yrs + 10 Months old is better than ever before....
