Why would one feel the need to boast so greatly on an internet message board about this?

Laura,

I'm not too familiar with your condition, but I do recall you mentioning thyroid issue? My mom doesnt have cancer, but she does have very off the chart thyroid levels. I think the "normal" level is 2 or 3, hers was 80. (In relation to whatever the normal scale is) Anyway she was taking nuclear medication for a while, and she literally couldnt be around people for 3 days due to her possibly contaminating others with radiation. What is your treatment? This may be off the chart question but was just curious.

Prayers with you and hope u make full recovery

I'm curious, if that's the case, has Mike stopped spending money on gear so that he could donate to the cause?

My thyroid and lymph nodes were removed August 12th (due to cancer) and I am having my radiation in a few weeks.  I will not be allowed around people for 5 days.  Right now I am not on any thyroid replacement medication which is starting to really take a toll on me (headache, lethargic, weakness, dry hair, a thirst to die for, aggitation...you name it).  All that while still being on high dosages of prednisone for my Sarcoidosis (which has it's own side effects as well).  I can't be on the thyroid medication until after the radiation.   :-\

I'd also like to know if Mike has gone out of his way to make a difference. Has he stopped donating his money to his juice dealer? Has he offered to take on more work while you were home convalescing? It certainly seems that Mike never missed a beat during your ordeal, as he was posting away the whole time. These are certainly questions that should be answered, since people were donating to your cause.

Ah, waiter???   :-X

Well since you asked, warchild.  Mike is always quick to donate to many causes actually.  When grocery shopping and checking out, he donates to the Jimmy Fund, Easter Seals, American Heart Association, American Association, etc.  Also, here in Florida there are a lot of homeless that peddle for change at different major intersections where he will also either give cash or offer food to.

I guess Mike is quite the humanitarian, but you avoided the primary question Laura. I'd say the charity should start at home from now on

I actually agree with you. I feel horrible for Laura and wish her a speedy recovery, but wtf is Mike doing posting pics of guys in thongs on here day in and day out while she is going through this? I can think of better ways for him to spend his time, like maybe a second job for example so they can afford all their expenses. But this dude just sits around and posts on getbig all day. Are naked dudes really more important than Laura, Mike?

I avoided the primary question?  Did you not ask if donated to the cause?  Or are you referring to your remark about gear?  What makes me laugh is that there are those of you who think he runs thousand dollar cycles, lmao.

And please...do tell.  What do you mean by the charity should start at home?

Soulcrusher, are you saying you cannot multi-task?  Mike was taking very good care of me when I came home from the hospital.  Whatever I needed, he was quick to deliver.  Are you saying that he shouldn't have been allowed to post on getbig because I had surgery?  Hell I was posting just as much as he was after my surgery, lol.

Not while accepting money for your expenses. He should be waiting tables, cleaning toilets, anything. To sit around and talk about male bodybuilders and accept money for his womans expenses is reprehensible. I realize Mike is not an ambitious person, but ffs sometimes you have to man the fuck up, even if you are lazy by nature.

Yeah, why were generous getbiggers donating money to Laura while you were sitting on here comparing mens glutes? If you are financially secure, why not tell them to save their money and you would take care of the expenses?

You two live together, are a couple. He sits on this site talking about muscle freaks all day and lets you accept money from other Getbiggers for your expenses. You know exactly what I am talking about.

Come on Mike, I know for a fact that you are not gay. Let the fags on this site provide their own jerkoff material.

Danielson, you already know that donation thread was thought of and created by 2 very caring getbiggers (Jedi and 240).  And those who donated, did so because they wanted to and because they wanted to show they care as well.  You making such poor remarks about it only shows you really don't, and that's ok, you don't know me so you don't have to, but don't go judging on others because they do so.  Jedi approached me about doing this and I explained to him that although I thought it was very thoughtful of him and appreciated him for thinking of me, I was fine and had very good health insurance.  He still wanted to show support, care and generosity and collaborated with 240 and created that donation site.  And like I said, those who donated to it...did so because they are caring people, so don't try and take that away from them.  There is too much hate on this board as it is, without trying to diminish the goodness that some extend here.

Donating doesn't help, they've been suppressing the cure for decades, don't be so naive.
I say the same thing all the time regarding knowing the cure.  As advanced as we are ... why haven't they figured out how to cure it.  It's been long enough.   >:(

It is important to give to various charities that you feel strongly for.  Cancer kills too many people. Too many innocent people.

Five bucks? Wtf are they going to do with 5 bucks?

it adds up.  we usually get a form with several non-profits yearly.

Revenue
Primary Revenue $961,783,000
Other Revenue $67,742,000
Total Revenue $1,029,525,000

Expenses
Program Expenses $644,186,000
Administrative Expenses $91,252,000
Fundraising Expenses $205,387,000
Total Functional Expenses $940,825,000

Payments to Affiliates  $0
Excess (or Deficit) for the year  $88,700,000

Im sorry i hate to intrude but "cancer funds" are a scam

always needing money for research!

lets see all these FVCKING STUDIES THEY ARE DOING WITH THE MONEY for RESEARCH maybe a simplified short version of various studies with simple descriptions for PUBLIC ANALYSIS and further study. A FOUNDATION for us "rebel scientists" atleast for godsakes
