Why would one feel the need to boast so greatly on an internet message board about this?

Laura,

I'm not too familiar with your condition, but I do recall you mentioning thyroid issue? My mom doesnt have cancer, but she does have very off the chart thyroid levels. I think the "normal" level is 2 or 3, hers was 80. (In relation to whatever the normal scale is) Anyway she was taking nuclear medication for a while, and she literally couldnt be around people for 3 days due to her possibly contaminating others with radiation. What is your treatment? This may be off the chart question but was just curious.

Prayers with you and hope u make full recovery

I'm curious, if that's the case, has Mike stopped spending money on gear so that he could donate to the cause?

My thyroid and lymph nodes were removed August 12th (due to cancer) and I am having my radiation in a few weeks.  I will not be allowed around people for 5 days.  Right now I am not on any thyroid replacement medication which is starting to really take a toll on me (headache, lethargic, weakness, dry hair, a thirst to die for, aggitation...you name it).  All that while still being on high dosages of prednisone for my Sarcoidosis (which has it's own side effects as well).  I can't be on the thyroid medication until after the radiation.   :-\

I'd also like to know if Mike has gone out of his way to make a difference. Has he stopped donating his money to his juice dealer? Has he offered to take on more work while you were home convalescing? It certainly seems that Mike never missed a beat during your ordeal, as he was posting away the whole time. These are certainly questions that should be answered, since people were donating to your cause.

Ah, waiter???   :-X

Well since you asked, warchild.  Mike is always quick to donate to many causes actually.  When grocery shopping and checking out, he donates to the Jimmy Fund, Easter Seals, American Heart Association, American Association, etc.  Also, here in Florida there are a lot of homeless that peddle for change at different major intersections where he will also either give cash or offer food to.

I guess Mike is quite the humanitarian, but you avoided the primary question Laura. I'd say the charity should start at home from now on

I actually agree with you. I feel horrible for Laura and wish her a speedy recovery, but wtf is Mike doing posting pics of guys in thongs on here day in and day out while she is going through this? I can think of better ways for him to spend his time, like maybe a second job for example so they can afford all their expenses. But this dude just sits around and posts on getbig all day. Are naked dudes really more important than Laura, Mike?
