And I thought "Real Americans" bought their clothes from Walmart, Sears, Target, etc.
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1008/14805.html
I don't think Barack or Biden have spent that much on clothing in their whole lives for their
families (Michelle shops @ Target). And they call the Obama's elitist?
And Edwards $400 haircut now seems a bit paltry in comparison.

Yes NT that is normal correct, they normally get political donations to outfit themself in $150,000 worth of clothes.
Just regular working folk stuff there, nothing abnormal.

According to financial disclosure records, the accessorizing began in early September and included bills from Saks Fifth Avenue in St. Louis and New York for a combined $49,425.74.
The records also document a couple of big-time shopping trips to Neiman Marcus in Minneapolis, including one $75,062.63 spree in early September.
The RNC also spent $4,716.49 on hair and makeup through September after reporting no such costs in August.
The cash expenditures immediately raised questions among campaign finance experts about their legality under the Federal Election Commission's long-standing advisory opinions on using campaign cash to purchase items for personal use.
Politico asked the McCain campaign for comment, explicitly noting the $150,000 in expenses for department store shopping and makeup consultation that were incurred immediately after Palin’s announcement. Pre-September reports do not include similar costs.
Spokeswoman Maria Comella declined to answer specific questions about the expenditures, including whether it was necessary to spend that much and whether it amounted to one early investment in Palin or if shopping for the vice presidential nominee was ongoing.

Yes, and they have dug through it all - and found 2 stores that obviously were for her family; one a baby store and one a mens store plus $3,000 a week to her makeup artist
Nice to see the peoples donations being used so wisely outfitting a tiny baby and husband in designer gear, and $3,000k a week for makeup.
-
Oh good grief. I rank this up there with the Palin faked her pregnancy stories. Who cares how much the woman spends on clothes and makeup? Talk about desperation.

If she has broken no law, I could care less. I find it comical how desperate people are to criticize the woman.

Funny that just in another thread you guys told how the donations to Obama was his money because people GAVE it to him, for him to decide LOL.
Talk about hypocrisy, besides, when you are running at this caliber you gotta be 110% including the family...it's not like they are out of the spotlight.
I doubt that if she came wearing some Gap shit like your girlfriend you wouldn't laugh at her....people will always find something negative to say no mater what :-\

I agree, I am sure the electorate cares deeply what a 20 week old baby wears, and probably donated with that in mind.

Well of course not, you wouldn't, not meant snidely btw.
Many people however could find it highly amusing to run on being a regular mom who wants to cut spending to the people, while simultaneously spending their money they donated to outfit your entire family in $150,000 worth of designer clothes ;D
Personally, I wouldn't mind a $150k shopping spree, so go girl I say. Soak em.

Soak who? If her its her money, it really isn't a story. It also doesn't change the fact that she pulled herself up by her bootstraps. She worked hard for her money and if she wants to spend it on clothes, who really cares?
I hate shopping BTW. I absolutely refuse to go shopping with my wife. Makes me nauseous to even think about it. :)

Once again, you display your inability to make it past the first paragraph of an article.
The controversy lies in the fact that the money was NOT hers- it came from donations to the campaign. The sheer exorbitant cost of the clothing, coupled with the fact that campaign advisors were not sure of the legality of the purchases along with the fact that she has apparently been charging the state of Alaska for what have essentially been family vacations just highlight what appears to a pattern of fiscal impropriety.
I don't think discussing this shows that anyone is "desperate". This woman is a god damned car wreck.

::) As I said, who gives a rip? If she was breaking the law, then it's a story. Leave it to desperate liberals to get worked up over how much the woman spends on pantyhose. ::)

The Republican National Committee’s $150,000 investment in Sarah Palin’s wardrobe has prompted some teeth gnashing among the party’s big donors about its political sensibility and a feisty debate among campaign finance specialists about its legality.
“As a Republican Eagle and a maxed-out contributor to McCain’s general campaign, I’d like my money back ” complained one irate donor on Tuesday.
“I’m not one who says a candidate shouldn’t wear fine clothes,” he added. “I’d just like to think they were successful enough in the private sector to have afforded their wardrobe with their own money, not the party’s or the campaign’s, which is really our money as contributors.”
-
We should get an itemized list of everything all the canidates spend their money on. I think it would be quite interesting.
-
Yeah, Palin spends $18k per week on clothes.
But I'm sure the elitist rock-star Obama spends just as much. Right?

Expensive Wardrobe Goes Against McCain-Palin Story Line
By Robin Givhan
If politicos weren't so snide and dismissive of fashionistas, the McCain-Palin campaign wouldn't be in the awkward position of having to explain the $150,000 tab for shopping trips, hairstyling and beauty makeovers for Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin.
How do you sell someone as a no-frills hockey mom who sold the state plane, fired the official cook and turned down travel per diems for her family and then try to explain wardrobing her in clothes from Neiman Marcus -- a store occasionally referred to by aggrieved, frugal shoppers as Needless Markup? How do you, in barely two months, lavish her with fashion swag worthy of a starlet and valued at more than her annual governor's salary of $125,000?
That's not careless.
That's just plain stupid.
Or to use this election cycle's phrase of choice: That's some seriously bad judgment.
One assumes that her campaign is populated by some of the brightest minds and they have spent an inordinate amount of time obsessing over mind-numbing details right down to whether the candidate would stand or sit during the debate and who gets to hover behind her for photo ops. But Palin's handlers would do well to occasionally read a fashion magazine, skim a fashion blog or at least ask themselves why women are willing to spend upwards of $10,000 on a handbag known as the Birkin.
It's not because that famous Hermes bag is so pretty. It's because of what it represents: exclusivity, success and classiness. That's why frocks are a nearly $50 billion business in New York alone, and it's also why they have the power to agitate us so. It's all in the symbolism, or in the case of Palin, the dissemblance.
On good days, Americans are smart and tolerant people. They might have been surprised about exactly how much Cindy McCain spends on her Oscar de la Renta and Escada dresses, but the price tag didn't contradict her public image. A de la Renta day dress, by the way, rings up at about $5,000. The political handlers weren't trying to present this heiress as a regular gal who knows what it's like to worry about paying the mortgage. Perhaps she can empathize with such a crisis, but this is a woman who told Vogue that the kids loved her beachfront condo so much and came to visit so often . . . she bought another one just for them.
Americans do not begrudge the men custom-made suits. When Barack Obama went on a shopping spree with Hart Schaffner Marx before his nomination acceptance speech in Denver, few people blinked over his new $1,500 suit. He has even gone on to buy a couple more. But it was also conveniently revealed that Hart Schaffner Marx is an American label that manufactures its tailored clothing in Des Plaines, Ill. John McCain's $520 Ferragamo shoes aren't that big a deal either, despite what his critics had to say.
And who could forget the gush-fest Michelle Obama unleashed when she wore a $148 Donna Ricco dress on "The View" and told the audience, "You put a little pin on it and you've got something going on." That little moment overshadowed all the thousand-dollar designer ensembles featuring Thakoon, Isabel Toledo and others that she has worn. One dress was worth a hundred over-paid image consultants, political advisers and spinmeisters.
So when Politico.com rooted out the financial details of Palin's wardrobe makeover, the jaw dropped, the eyes blinked in disbelief at the total and the mind whirled at the idiocy of it all.
The purchases were paid for using Republican National Committee funds. It was only a matter of time before the dollar figure became public and the question of legality would be raised. One wonders where the Palin stylists were during the $400 haircut kerfuffle caused by John "I am a populist and the son of a millworker" Edwards. He received two such pricey haircuts during the Democratic primary and they were billed to his campaign, which is how everyone found out about them. (He later said the billing was in error and offered reimbursement.) Didn't they learn anything about the relationships between fashion, image and perception from the beating Edwards took?
It's smart for a candidate to polish her image before stepping onto the national stage. Only a fool would stand in front of a television camera without the assistance of a makeup artist and a good hairstylist. Older photographs, from when Palin was just a regular old governor and paid for her own clothes, show her wearing fleece jackets, chunky turtlenecks and windbreakers. Her wardrobe probably did need a little help. Truthfully, whose wouldn't?
Unlike a man, a woman can't easily get away with a wardrobe of a half-dozen virtually indistinguishable suits, a gross of red or blue ties and a suitcase full of white dress shirts. A woman's wardrobe will cost more, and putting it together will be more time-consuming. But it should also be one that reflects the person, her demographic and her message. And it's always nice if she actually buys it herself.
Instead, the campaign spent $75,000 at Neiman Marcus and nearly $50,000 at Saks Fifth Avenue as well as substantial amounts at Barneys New York, Macy's and Bloomingdale's. Now, if you've got a candidate whose persona centers around small-town America, Joe Six-Pack, and lots and lots of "you-betcha," what business do you have connecting her to Neiman's, Saks and Barneys, specialty stores -- no, they are not good old-fashioned department stores -- that epitomize upscale, rarified, luxury consumption? No one can make the argument that the only store open in Minneapolis in early September was the local Neiman Marcus. They couldn't have popped into J. Crew or Ann Taylor? On "What Not to Wear," Clinton and Stacy manage to build an entire wardrobe for their client for a mere $5,000.
In a statement, a Palin spokesman played the indignation card: "With all of the important issues facing the country right now, it's remarkable that we're spending time talking about pantsuits and blouses," said Tracey Schmitt. "It was always the intent that the clothing go to a charitable purpose after the campaign."
What people are talking about, however, is not pantsuits and blouses.
The reality is that there is nothing especially outstanding about the governor's clothes -- aside from the red-patent pumps and that bright red leather jacket, which she really should re-think. No matter how much they cost, they are not ostentatious or eccentric. They are, quite simply, fine.
What is baffling is the mind-boggling evidence of a tin ear for the symbolism of popular culture.
Fashion is a form of self-definition. Any retail expert can tell you that part of being a good merchant is finding a way of speaking to whomever the customer believes herself to be. A smart retailer stands for something. And in our culture, Neiman Marcus stands for "elite," not for "Everyman." And the same is true of Saks. Barneys? Make that soy chai latte-sipping, champagne-swigging elites.
When the campaign ends, we are to believe that Palin's wardrobe will be donated to charity. Thus, if the McCain ticket loses, then, like Cinderella, Palin will be stripped of her party clothes. And if the Republicans should win, Vice President Palin will be forced to start from scratch -- create herself anew.
-
If Sarah Palin's wardrobe was a family of four, it would be doing very well under the Obama tax plan.
-
Maybe she's a more experienced politician than we've been led to believe. :)
-
$150k would have bought one full week of ad time in swing state Colorado.
How bout that?
-
Maybe not a big story... but highly suspect.
The RNC should have used better judgement than to buy her 150K in clothes... She would have been better actually shopping at a small "mom and pop" store and spending a few K on both the photo Op and the premise of being one of the "regular people".
How many average Joe people spend 150K on clothes?
Seems a bit out of touch with the common man if you ask me.
-

BB, stay updated my dear, was not her money. If it her money I could care less, I said that about Cindy. Personally, I spend quite quite a large amount on my clothing as well as my daughter, we take specific trips abroad to buy clothing, maybe silly but I'm into fashion. I do however pay for it myself. Either way anyone feels, it simply isn't the best PR move. Doesn't jibe with the image she is trying to portay, and also she is on the ticket to attract the female vote, and this move didn't help too much as it is getting quite a bit of airplay. Bad move.
Anyone saw McCain on TV when he was asked rushing to assure that he pays for his own clothes lol? I died.
I hate shopping BTW. I absolutely refuse to go shopping with my wife. Makes me nauseous to even think about it. :)
My husbands entire purpose on shopping trips was to drive and carry bags, he served it well, and sat around with a pained look on his face.
-
Excessive IMO.
But the food and catoring bills at these huge Obama events are also excessive. Just proves my point, there is way too much waste in governement. This is what they do with our $. Why would we want to give them more money and power? Power corrupts on both sides of the isle.

Of the $150,000 spent by the Republican National Committee on clothing for the vice presidential candidate, $50,000 worth of clothes was returned immediately after the national convention, $50,000 worth hasn't been worn yet and $50,000 is being used by the Palin clan.
Sarah Palin told FOX News on Thursday that some of the clothes that were ill-fitting or just bought to be tried and possibly worn were returned right away.
Everything that "could be returned was," she said. Another third of the clothing remains unwrapped and packed in the belly of the vice presidential candidate's campaign plane and the rest is being worn.
Republican aides say the purchases were necessary because the family was whisked out of Alaska without notice, then scattered across the country for campaign activities not least of which was a week of convention appearances.
"Those clothes are not my property," Palin told FOX News' Sean Hannity. "We had three days (at the convention) of using clothes that the RNC purchased."
Palin added that she knows how to make a dollar work for her appearance.
"If people knew how Todd and I and our kids shop so frugally. My favorite shop is a consignment shop in Anchorage, Alaska, called 'Out of the Closet,' and my shoe store is called 'Shoe Fly' in Juneau, Alaska. It is ... not 5th Avenue type of shopping," Palin said, adding that the RNC purchases will either be returned or go to charity.
RNC officials would not explain why this explanation is surfacing days after the purchase appeared in news stories, advisers declined to answer. They did describe much of what Palin wears now as bought "off the sale rack from Macy's."
News of the purchases of designer clothes, largely from upscale Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus, contrasts with the image Palin has crafted as a typical "hockey mom."
McCain was asked several questions on Thursday about the shopping spree -- and he answered each one more or less the same way: Palin needed clothes and they'll be donated to charity.
He said his wardrobe was not purchased by the RNC. Asked Wednesday who had paid for the suit he was wearing, Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden told WSLS-TV in Roanoke, Va.: "I pay for my suits. I pay for all of my own clothing."
Also on Thursday, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics, a private watchdog group in Washington, filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission against Palin, the Republican National Committee and several political operatives alleging that the purchase of clothing for Palin and her family violates Federal Election Campaign Act.
The law prohibits a candidate for federal office from converting campaign funds to personal use. CREW notes that FEC regulations make clear the prohibition applies to clothing but also provide that donations by candidates to charity are not for personal use. CREW argued this exception might apply to Palin's clothes but doesn't appear to apply to clothes for her family.
Palin, who is John McCain's vice presidential running mate, told The Chicago Tribune in an interview posted on the newspaper's Web site Thursday night that she finds a double standard in the questioning.
"I think Hillary Clinton was held to a different standard in her primary race," Palin said. "Do you remember the conversations that took place about her, say superficial things that they don't talk about with men, her wardrobe and her hairstyles, all of that? That's a bit of that double standard."
"It's kind of painful to be criticized for something when all the facts are not out there and are not reported," Palin said.

Murphy's latest critique of his former boss is a post on Time's Swampland blog offering sarcastic potential responses to the news of Palin's $150,000 makeover:
I saw the RNC statement on Gov. Palin's $150,000 clothing bender on the RNC's tab. This caper is gonna make for a long day at the office for the good folks at the RNC/McCain press operation. Thought I'd offer a little help in a humorous vein; some other possible spin lines for the RNC.
1.) What you sneering critics in the liberal MSM fail to see here is... a Jobs Program! Saks floorwalkers, cashiers, a team of sweating porters to haul the merchandise from the store to the motorcade... chiropractors to treat those porters. Sarah Palin knows how to create jobs!
2.) What's the difference between a Pit Bull and a Hockey Mom? You can feed a pit-bull for 483 years with 150 grand.
3.) Still cheaper than Mitt Romney's hair products. We're saving money here...
4.) William Ayres is a terrorist!
5.) New ad slogan: "Clothes for Gov. Palin? $150,000. Time machine to go back two months to late August and ask what the Hell were Schmidt and Davis thinking when they cooked up this idea and sold it to McCain? Priceless."

Or Amorosa Obam'as suit?
Or Biden's hair plugs?
-
How much do you want to be that Hillary's pantsuits were paid with campaign cash?
Or Amorosa Obam'as suit?
Or Biden's hair plugs?
Ah... but again I say to you... Obama's contributions were NOT tax funded like Palin and McCain's are... They are privately collected... If you didn't give him money SPECIFICALLY, then you didn't give him any money.
That means that Biden's plugs are paid because I gave him money and said, you do what you need to with it.
McCain and Palin are taking money from the Campaign finance funds, which are funded with my tax dollars, Obama and Biden are not.
Who cares about Hillary?
Is she still running and no one told me?
-
I'm much more interested in the almost BILLION $ Hussein raised, after the election will he put that money into the budget/charity or keep it for personal/party usage.....I doubt he will do the proper action of a true leader, he never was and never will be one.
-
I disagree...
This part really bothers me.
If she didn't buy the clothes and didn't accept the clothes, then why does this bother you?
-
If she didn't buy the clothes and didn't accept the clothes, then why does this bother you?
It says 50k worth hasn't been returned... So where are those clothes?
Of the $150,000 spent by the Republican National Committee on clothing for the vice presidential candidate, $50,000 worth of clothes was returned immediately after the national convention, $50,000 worth hasn't been worn yet and $50,000 is being used by the Palin clan.
That sounds like something was accepted.
Am I missing something or are you?
-

Because he raised it by private donations... It's HIS business what he does with it... People GAVE it to him willingly.

First, you are mistaken, these donations like just about any other came for a purpose, if you donate for a Cancer fund you expect it to use the money to help against Cancer and not promote highway safety laws or something.
Second , I care more about him showing some initiative which he really lacks more than the legal issue of the donations.
Third , Hussein funding have already raised many eyebrows in the FEC.
I can go on but for you will just ignore everything that you dont like about Mr Rezco/Wright/Ayers/ACORN etc.

Palin denies accepting $150K in designer clothes
By BRENDAN FARRINGTON – 19 hours ago
ORMOND BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Sarah Palin is blaming gender bias for the controversy over $150,000 worth of designer clothes, hairstyling and accessories the Republican Party provided for her, a newspaper reported Thursday.
"I think Hillary Clinton was held to a different standard in her primary race," Palin said in an interview with the Chicago Tribune posted on the newspaper's Web site Thursday night. "Do you remember the conversations that took place about her, say superficial things that they don't talk about with men, her wardrobe and her hairstyles, all of that? That's a bit of that double standard."
Palin, who is John McCain's vice presidential running mate, said the clothes were not worth $150,000 and were bought for the Republican National Convention.
Most of the clothes have never left the campaign plane, she told the newspaper.
"It's kind of painful to be criticized for something when all the facts are not out there and are not reported," Palin said.
"That whole thing is just, bad!" she said. "Oh, if people only knew how frugal we are."
News of the purchases of designer clothes, largely from upscale Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus, contrasts with the image Palin has crafted as a typical "hockey mom."
McCain was asked several questions on Thursday about the shopping spree — and he answered each one more or less the same way: Palin needed clothes and they'll be donated to charity.
"She needed clothes at the time. They'll be donated at end of this campaign. They'll be donated to charity," McCain told reporters on his campaign bus between Florida rallies.
Asked for details on how they'll be donated, McCain said, "It works by her getting some clothes when she was made the nominee of the party and it will be donated back to charity."
Asked if he was surprised at the amount spent, McCain said, "It works that the clothes will be donated to charity. Nothing surprises me."

I caught that, but I'm still trying to see where the other 50k worth of clothes went... Did they give them to her and her family or not?
If so... then where are they now.
I'm not sure her statement really reflects that she has not seen any of the clothing in question.

You're assuming she had $50K worth of clothes.

You're assuming she had $50K worth of clothes.
I'm guessing the RNC knows they gave 150K worth of stuff to her... I'm just taking them at their word.

-
Understood... I kind of disagree.
I care if someone broke the law. Other than that, this is right up there with criticizing the size of Palin's flag pin.
-
I'm guessing the RNC knows they gave 150K worth of stuff to her... I'm just taking them at their word.
She already said its all going to charity after the election.
-
Obama has spent 21 million on polling...
-
The RNC here is at fault, not Palin.
Here was a golden opportunity for her to really say "Thanks, ...but no thanks" ...but she blew it. ::)
The fact is the RNC has been screwing up all throughout this campaign, right from the get go with the marginalization of Ron Paul. They've been going downhill ever since.
Personally, I don't care what Palin spends on clothes... or Cindy McCain for that matter.
She can have and wear all the $300,000 outfits she wants. I do think it behooves them to realize that if they are going to put themselves out there as the candidates for the common man / woman, ...they are going to be criticized when their actions put them at odds with the image they seek to portray.
As for the clothes going to charity... good grief. I can see it now... some chick on skid row sporting an Oscar de la Renta day dress. ::) Instead of buying a $1,000 dress and donating it unworn to a charity, why not consider how many practical outfits that same $1,000 could buy... and get a refund. And how is that not a form of socialism... wastefully spending tax payer money... and then diverting the wasteful spending to charity, ...and no doubt getting a tax right-off to boot? They'd have been better off buying $150,000 worth of practical clothing from small independent owner operated establishments, and directly donating that to charity.
I don't buy the excuse they gave for a minute. If she had been whisked out of Alaska on a moment's notice with nothing to wear, a skilled wardrobe consultant could have taken her measurements, sized up her sense of style and gotten her what she needed in a weekend. She could have spent one day in a fitting and chosen her entire closet for the campaign trail in a single day. If the film industry can do it, ...so can a political campaign. There was no need to keep a bunch of stuff on a campaign plane that was neither wanted nor needed.
Bottom line however remains were laws broken in the use of tax payer funds, and if not, ...is this an indication of their maverick spendthrift ways? If the McCain campaign's actions can't be consistent with their message while campaigning, how can people expect any sort of consistency in office. For that matter, if the McCain-Palin combo cannot even control their own campaign, or if they don't even speak for the campaign, how can they be expected to be in charge, or to effectively guide the direction of the country if elected?
-

WTF!? The same dumbasses complaining about Obama's wife spending her own money at lunch are saying $150K of tax payer money on clothes is OK.
They just spent more money on clothes than most (if not fucking all) of us make in a year!!!!
I guess the ends justify the means for some. A twisted part of me hopes McCain does get elected just so a few of you will finally have to deal with reality when your lives don't improve or change one damn bit.
Personally, I'd worry more about invading Iran, escalating debt, endless war in Iraq, recession and so on than the social change a minority president might represent.

Read this slow: Taxes are involuntary.
The same idiots here who claimed McCain/Finegold(sp) was unconstitutional and aborted free speech are now saying Obama has taken in too many donations. You cannot have things both ways or at the very least people should attempt to be consistent in the bullshit they put out here. :)

Ok....I guess that now you will be in charge of the Republicans budget...might as well tell them not to spend money on speakers for the rallies since it's tax payer money...who could have thought that dressing the VP might be a good idea... ::)

I honestly don't see how this is that much of big deal other than they too much on over priced clothes.

Either you're a total idiot or seriously stubborn, LOL!
I'm too lazy for digging up posts from today where you thought Obama's wife spent too much of her own money on lunch. By some magical formula $150K in new duds for the Palin family is totally a good idea.
According to Ozmo, it's unreasonable for me to expect people to be consistent with their bullshit here. I can live with that but at least don't fool yourself into thinking people are too stupid to have seen conflicting opinions about the same things from people on the same day.
Not even saying you need to make sense (not possible) but at least give people a little credit. :)

Because most Democrats are bad at math.....dressing a family of what? 6? With good cloths for daily appearances are supposed 200$ ::) Nevermind the fact that if someone would recognize some Gap cloths on them it will be the new joke....ohhh please....find something of substance.

I never cared about Shebama launch, about the hoax attack on that McCain supporter too.
I try to keep it on substance, what I did say about Shebama is that I don't know where the Obama couple got their money from since they both never had any job with a serious income to my knowledge.

You're right, I'm afraid the United States will be obliterated by Osama Bin Laden if Obama Hussain is elected. McCain and Palin will promote good Christian values by saving millions of babies from their own evil mothers, protecting us from the Arabs, and setting queers back on the right track. These are the issues that matter to me now.

Total non-issue IMO.
Let her shop wherever she wants. I don't give a fcuk.
More important is how the respective tickets plan on fixing the economy.
I gotta say I'm more than a little troubled about how the McCain campaign chooses to discuss the problems of the Obama campaign instead of trying to set their own agenda.
This election is more about voting for or against Obama instead of picking one of two candidates.
McCain/Palin has sort of already accepted defeat when they've chose that strategy.

McCain doesn't have a position.
Here's a guy that survived being a POW without being shut up. He's been in politics 30+ years and no one has ever made him STFU. If John McCain had something to say, nothing on earth would stop it from being said.
All they have left is fear and attacking the opponent.
We can't pull out of Iraq, that's a non issue.
Roe v Wade is more about patient rights than abortion but most people are too stupid to see the bigger picture associated with the decision. That being said, most people on the supreme court believe in Stare Decisis (sp?) which basically means to let previous decisions stand except in the most extreme cases.
Neither side is for gay marriage.
They both were in favor of redistributing wealth to Wall Street.
Ultimately, I believe this last week or so will be more about a test of McCain's character than anything. He's always portrayed himself as having personal values but hiring the same firm who smeared his family back in the day speaks volumes.

Anyone who claims to know exactly how to fix the economy is just telling as lie. We still have no idea how bad this is going to be. Anyone who thinks ZERO has a clue about the economy is delusional themselves.
ZERO has never run a business, never had a job in a private business, has no economic background, and has no clue about taxes or anything related to monetary policy.
McCain is no different.
The only difference between the two is that ZERO is a marxist and McCain is not.

If she can't handle being Gov. without hooking up friends and punishing enemies... how in the heck will a person like that handle being president without abusing power? Last thing we need is another impeachment with the minority leader making the final vote.

Total BS. Apparently she doesn't understand simple things like laws and stuff. If she's not smart or honest enough to defend herself or back up statements she shouldn't be president. They could have found someone else to get hockey moms excited about voting, LOL!
She is doable, though. That really can't be said about any of the others.
