I did heavy squats and a "trainer" felt the urge to spot me unasked during the set. He pulled on my hips which sent me flying forward into the rack, weight first. For some reason, I remained uninjured but the "trainer" was white as a sheet. I actually had to calm him down, otherwise he would have passed out from the shock.this is why I only do smith machine squats ;D

I had a shit gym in my basement when I was 16 and was ready to do squats. When I picked up the weights on my shoulders the fucking squat rack fell over. it was this York piece of crap stand. I'm now standing with 200 pound ( 4 50 pound cement filled weights in that plastic shell ) on my shoulders and no where to drop it. The floors were cement so if I just dropped the weights I could have cracked the floor and the weights, then my dad would have beat my ass if I ruined the floor. So I walked around to the bench with the weight still sitting on my should and slowly sat down. I then let the weights drop onto the bench. The biggest fucking crash I ever heard. The bar bent right in the middle. It was a crap 1 inch bar. It was the only barbell I had at the time.LOL hopefully you go to a real gym now ;D

I was 21 and was coming back to lift after 7 months off. I got 135 stuck on my chest benching on the 7th rep and had to roll it off. It was embarrassing. ;Dsomething similar happened to me after a long lay off.

i was trying out the bench ( in a safety cage - thankfully) to see how it felt after the lay off - i started with 1 45lb plate each side, did around 10 then failed, it was on my chest and i simply did not have an ounce of strength left, i tried bouncing it off, but each bounce got smaller and smaller. The whole time i'm doing this, 2 monsters were just sitting watching me, not saying a thing. i was too embarassed and prideful to ask for help, so i evenutually just sat the bar on my chest, after around 30 sec i tried to bounce it again, and it didn't move an inch, finally one of the monsters asked if i needed a hand, i sheepishly said if you don't mind - he lifted it with one hand and wasn't even looking at the bar :-[
i walked out as fast as i could, and still havn't returned :(

No I was Fat and very Unhealthy my BP was sky high and with the added pressure from the shirt out I went. I was prolly the strongest I had ever been in my life at that point. But also porlly the unhealthiest I have ever been that is where I started getting the bad Health problems right after that meet and made me realize it was time to get healthy.it looks like you don't have a rib cage :o

I was playing pool at a bar. I put my money in and only half of the balls came out. I thought I would pick up the pool table and shake it to make the balls come out. What I didn't realize is that a commercial pool table weighs over 1000lbs. I got one side off the ground about 6 inches and I started to shake it. My bicep completely snapped of it's insertion and it rolled up to my shoulder. It felt like I was electrocuted. After the operation in which metal studs were used to put me back together it took almost 6 months to get back.

i was doing dumbell presses. i had done a few sets, and i like to leave the dumbells sitting on either side of the bench after i move up or down in weight. well i finished up a set and dropped the dumbells off to the side, somehow or another my hand slipped under the dumbell as it was falling and the dumbell landed on top of one of the dumbells i had left to the side of the bench, crushing my left ring finger in between the falling dumbell and the one on the floor. at first i could feel any pain at all, but when i looked down at my finger i saw a tear all the way across the top of the finger, along the first knucle from the finger nailk. i pulled it back, and the whole tip of my finger pulled off from the bone. i went pale and light headed and just walked slowly up to the front desk in a daze. my buddy steve was working the desk, as he always ddoes, and i just showed him the finger and layed down on the couch. the dude called my parents for me and gave me some water.. i passed out in about 30 seconds.. then my parents came and took me to the hospital.. i ended up getting 15 stiches that night, then one week later had to have reconstructive surgery on the whole tip of my finger, the doctor had to give me a new nail bed.
