Probably the best 70 year old physique in the world!
-
It's Sad but I'm guessing there are plenty of seats still available. But then again it is BB related. :'(
-
Serge is great, but I still don't buy this stuff about him "scaring" Arnold with a last-minute entry into the 1975 Mr. Olympia.
As I understand it, Arnold was down in size a good ten or more pounds in '75, yet he still made Serge look small. Moreover, Serge looked outstanding just standing there, but when he flexed his muscles, they didn't "pop" the way most other BBers did/do.
He deserves tremendous credit for living the French lifestyle* and staying in incredible shape for 50+ years, but let's not reinvent history. Even at Arnold's worst, he was easily better than Serge.
*Gauloises, cheese and chardonnay ... ah. :)

Horse meat baby Horse meat. ;D

Venue holds 300+ so plenty of room. Selling as well as you can expect a bodybuilding seminar to sell.
Most of todays "Bodybuilders" will spend £200 on drugs but won't spend £15 to learn of one of the greats of the sport??? Hence why we have pro ranks full of 39/40 year old American Pros with very few class physiques under that age.....

SO true! back in the 1980's you could go into most gyms and see 4-5 good 210 pound guys training intelligently and in great shape - now, the gyms are just full of 185 pound semi muscular morons on steroids with no knowledge. sad but so true.
I have my ticket but then Im pushing 40 and know it will be the best £15 and 2 hrs I'll spend for years. nobody on here will buy tickets Trev. all 11 stone youngsters with opinions behind their computers and no muscle themselves.

You're probably right, So far 95% of people coming are over 35 and built. Too many youngsters these days think any muscle requires just drugs!

He's already a WABBA pro and is hoping to be able to switch over without the need for any qualification. Once he dials in his conditioning, he is going to be DANGEROUS!

tell us about your poundage progression.
how much are you benching now compared to before nubretization commenced.
and how many weeks did you last on his routine before reality set in?
-

Its more about the concentration/speed/volume etc to be honest. Bombing bodyparts for 30mins solid each with exception of arms at 20mins (trying to increase amount of work the muscles have to do in that time - more about more volume than more weight). Hitting them 3 times in 8 days and gaining better at nearly 39 than ever before.

of course i know what his philosphy is. im asking what results you have gotten?
his idea is basically high tonnage per time unit (density work). problem with that method is that you cant increase sets to like 100sets in 30min, you have to bump up weight at some point.
density work isnt all shit (as it is a 'progression avenue'),but i think serge should stress poundage progression abit more than he does.

Know what you mean, my poundages first of all went down due to the increased no of sets and less rest, gradually coming back up. Hard to pin down all, but bench for instance - I'm working at 15kg more than 6/8 months ago at 4 sets more in the half an hr period!

good job, that is obviously progression as poundages have gone up and density of work has gone up.
exactly how much has bw gone up?
and what modifications to his recommended routine have you made?
the positive thing with serges method is that due to utilization of the density of work progress avenue you dont have to lift as heavy as you would when only using the progress avenue of heavier weights. which is good for avoiding injuries and training longevity.

Bodyweight is 208 pounds but a lot leaner than before - Modifications? I just havent the time he has to train, so have been hitting all UPPER bodyparts over 2 x 1 hr workouts twice a week (trying to take 10-15min break between bodyparts). As a non-competitor and a lucky guy who has naturally good wheels, I am hitting them just once as and when I have time (approx' every 4-6 days) for half an hour. They are 25 inches whist keeps them in pro with everything else. Same with abs, they look good without any training so just hit as and when I have 20mins or so.
