Fatass.
-
I'm not sure... but I wouldn't mind trying!!
-
i think i could if i was really hungry. I mean, sometimes when i go to outback i put down a shit load of that delicious bread they have, that broccoli cheddar soup, a 20 oz porterhouse, 2 or or three beers, big ass baked potato... and thats a lot of carbs, which fill you up (bloat you) faster than a steak alone.

Here's the place. It's in Amarillo. I got arrested there a long time ago. The parking lot was gravel back then... I remember because I was rolling around in it with a drunk Texan.
If memory serves, I had a 20 oz. T-bone, 10-12 Lone Stars and a baked potato. I say give the place a try! :)

;D Gotta be honest... I don't recall too much. I think I had the 20 oz. T-Bone, 10 - 12 cold Lone Stars and a baked potato, plus 4 - 5 shots of Johnny Walker Red Label before dinner. My friend Tim Dillion started the free-for-all. I was the one still rumblin' & stumblin' in the gravel, when the Fuzz showed up. I think my bail was $90.

Here's the deal. You have 1 hour to eat the steak, bread, side salad, baked potato and shrimp cocktail. They claim 48000 have tried it and 8000 have done it.

Tommy, Isn't that the place (pictured) where the meal was on the house if anyone ate it all? We had a powerlifting meet down that way once and only one or two of the Supers ended up getting that free feed.
There was also a similar place in Tx where the house would comp your meal if you could lift this huge bolder placed right outside the front door. I was never there so I can't tell you how that worked out but I heard it drew a lot of customers who liked to see the big guys try.
And Tommy, you should remember this .... There use to be a family restaurant about a mile south of Disneyland where we'd all go after the contests down Anaheim way that served the biggest plates of food possible. Order the turkey special and you got half the turkey and a 6 inch pile of mashed potatoes and more vegetables than a herd of rabbits could eat in a week. Order the hamburger and you got a few pounds of beef and about a ton and a half of french fries.
All the waitresses had to be over 200 pounds just to carry the orders to the tables. What was the name of that restaurant and is it still there?
-
Ya, we like food.
How many cows do you think are killed each day to feed us good guys?
I passed a heard that stretched clear to the horizon of Harris Ranch on Highway 5 one day and the next day they were all gone.
And I'm sure that they didn't go south for the winter!
-
I'd like to try and eat that in front of someone from PETA. That would make my day :)
-

SM-
I'm pretty sure that's the same place in Amarillo. I'm not familiar with the joint in Anaheim you're talking about.
Up in the Bay Area, they used to have "Sirloin & Brew Unlimited" Man- that place got F-ed up on many Saturday nights. Piss poor steak but plenty of it and unlimited draft beer, for $12.95 total per person. ;D You can imagine how that turned out many nights...

But of course! Ever been to a Greek barbecue house? I have. I ate the equivalent to 4 kilograms(8.8 lbs) of meat in one sitting. I had severe abdominal distension and spend the next 10 hours in bed with indigestion, but it was worth it. :)

At "Sirloin & Brew Unlimited" in San Francisco, they had this broke down cheap-ass salad bar that had like 10 - 12 total items... lettuce, peas, onions, stale crutons, & several dressings. It was a big ass cart that was on wheels and was always stationed in the upper part of the restaurant. There were 5-6 wide stairs that went down to the lower main seating area...
...One night when we were getting thrown out, my friend Mike D'Angello, pushed the cart across the upper section at full speed and launched it off the top of the stairs. The salad cart went flying through the air like Evil Knevil, hit on its end and cartwheeled across the restaurant. People were screaming as we ran out the front doors, still carrying our pitchers of room temperature draft beer. :D

This would make a great donation to the Toys for Tiny Tits....won't you please give?

There's no way I could eat a 72oz steak in one sitting.

Most steak I ever ate in one meal was only 16oz. And I think I've only done it once. Which I realised wasn't that much when I went to America for the first time and watched several fat bastards in the Outback Steakhouse put it away like it were going out of fashion.
-
I can eat 16 OZ of Prime Rib, Baked Potato, Salad, Rolls like it's a snack.
If I ever attempt it you'll all be notified via Musclephone!

all kidding aside there's a place here in town that has a Prime Rib called "the Diamond Jim Brady" that is 34oz. and comes with a potato and salad, it's the best tasting thing you'll ever eat in your life, the thing literally covers every square centimeter of the plate they bring it out on, it's gone up in price over the past few years though, used to be 28 bucks but it's 45 now.

Tommy, You might recall this if you ever trained at the Santa Monica Gold's when it was open and when Pete and his partner's owned it.
There was a Swedish Smorgasboard place about a block south and it was doing great business with the typical old timers that lived in the Santa Monica area.
Then one day one of the guys from Gold's heard about it (I think it was Cahling) and enjoyed it so much and told the guys at Gold's to give it a try cause it was great Swedish food.
So they gave it a try and kept going back for seconds and thirds, and fourths, etc, etc. and the place closed down within a couple of weeks.
That was just about the time when Joe Nazario worked as a front door person at a new place in the other direction called "Tony Roma's" where they served great spare ribs with all the trimmings, white table cloths, and live piano music for just about $3.95 a plate. This one might have been the first. The place was usually full of the Gold's Gym guys after the Smorgasboard place went out of business.
You remember those days, Tommy?
Maybe you don't, BUT you must recall The GERMAN'S!
-
I like the word Smorgasboard lol.
You didnt make up a new word for it, only removed the dots.. haha.. Smörgåsbord.

One of the top casino cafes in Las Vegas that serves a decent cut of Prime Rib is Jerry's Nuggat on the north side of Fremont Street.
Here's a shot of one of the smaller cuts that ran about $14 on the menu and included salad and potato.
They serve larger cuts but if you order the biggest slice, the waitress warns you that almost no one has ever been able to finish it.
This "small cut" in the photo was half eaten by the time I took the picture.
