I did it for 3mths went from 225 to 275 felt as Strong as a bull but cardio was Fuked it was hard walking up the stairs of the Gym.Was it worth it I guess for the strength gain Yes lifting heavy helps with muscle size it's not rocket science.But the costs increase along with your appetite.Good Luck with it.

Doing the math (calorie expenditure) for a VERY ACTIVE person consuming 8000 calories per day would result in a person weighing 512 pounds at the end of one year.
NO ONE COULD EAT THAT MANY CALORIES AND NOT END UP BEING A FAT BLOB AT THE END OF A YEAR.

i've been doing 4000 to 5000 daily for almost a month. I'm not kidding. I eat 3-4 pies per week. Tons of weights, a decent amount of cardio. Fast food 5 times a week. 1-2 packs of chicken a day on the foreman grill. lots of those jimmy dean croissant/saus/egg.
perhaps you saw the other night's dinner pics... 2 lasagne rolls, 9 oz chik, 1/4 pie, garlic bread, and a white cholo shake :)

that is PURE conjecture. an incredibly active person consuming all those calories would jack up his BMR pretty quickly.
most i ever did was ~6000 for six or seven months. went from 220 to 270. not fun.

large fries: 580 calories
packet of ranch for the fries: 190 calories
large coke: 390 calories
that's 2170 right there, and that's not even a difficult meal to pack in.

college, dude. getting four greasy-ass 1500 calories meals every day is pretty easy. sure you feel like ass, but... i've done it. i'm not bragging, it's not even something to brag ABOUT, it just happened.

Yeah, I know. I am really consistent for 5 days, then completely fall off for 3 days. Just have too many directions pulling me at once. Whenever I eat clean, I just lose weight so fast it's not funny. I hate being 160 pounds. I just hate it.

I'm not trying to impress anyone. It started with the holidays and i've just been a bit of a fatass lately. 4000 calories is 4 meals of 1000 calories. That's not too hard to do.
breakfast - saus/egg/chz mcgriddle, 550 calories.
2 hash browns 300 calories
sweet tea 150 calories.
That's 1000 right there, not even counting 2 apple pies :)
Lunch - big pile of pasta, 9 oz steak or chik on foreman grill, 3 cups cranberry juice, and 1/4 pie...
I think that's pretty close to 1000, right?
Shake + chex + M&Ms snack, maybe 500? 600?
Then I stay up til 1 or 2 AM, eating every 3 hours.
hitting 4000 isn't that hard to do.

lol... it's one of those experimental times. i will cut back soon. scale is looking good, i'm strong as an ox (for me at least) and fat is fairly in check. It's not healthy, so i can't do it much longer. just havin a little fun with it. it's only been a month.

i eat 2 pounds of grapes each day, lots of juice, and apple pies contain a surprising amount of apples. So I do drop a deuce maybe 3 nice times daily, but digestion isn't an issue. I mean, that's a lot of grapes. I don't let myself have the pie until I've eaten about 1 cup of grapes. it works!

yeah, the thing is, with all that fruit, the food just flies thru you. When you eat 1 cup grapes and 1 slice pie, along with meat and pasta, it moves thru pretty quickly. I am probably digesting better now (being a fat hog) than I was when eating super clean all day long. Big volume, lots of grapes.

I'm the same man. I eat around 6000-7000 a day. Call bullshit if you want, i dont care. I use fitday to record it and all that good stuff. All the walking around campus keeps the fat off. I weigh around 230-235, was around 250-255 when i started. You might say "walking doesnt burn THAT much fat off". Well think about it. I eat 6 times a day. It's a 15 minute walk to the dining hall and 15 min walk back. 30 minute walk per meal. 6 meals. 180 minutes a day walking. 5 hard workouts a week. Fast metabolism.
There you go.
Edit: oh and i eat clean, the junkiest food I have is a 8 inch sub with turkey, ham, roast beef, provolone cheese, on wheat bread.

A TRUE 8000 calories a day will make 99% of all individuals that try it for a significant period of time fat period. BS calorie intakes are almost as common in this realm as BS lifting claims.

Conjecture is what you are dreaming of...One's body DOES NOT ADJUST ITSELF TO THE PERSON...THE PERSON ADJUSTS TO IT. Muscle building, metabolism, insulin, testosterone and growth hormone are all at a relatively FIXED RATE OF RELEASE in the body. Though exercise can increase output a LITTLE...It will by NO MEANS allow anyone to eat unconditionally and not turn into a fat slob. If what you said was true a pro BB who would NOT have to inject any drugs to get BIG and CUT...your hypothesis is their bodies will automatically adjust calorie expenditure and muscle building....NO SO TONTO.... there is a limit to anabolic progress ergo STEROIDS enter the picture....

i was 223 at my absolutely most disgusting, but maybe 25% bf there?
My legs are growing like crazy since i've increased the calories greatly, my lower body much bigger proportionately than my upper. Obviously not anything of quality BBing caliber, of course. But for me, they're biggest than they've ever been.
