Does it make sense that saturated fats which are vital for a baby are suddenly poison for an adult?
Fat is also needed to feel satisfied after a meal. Mary Enig says in her book Know Your Fats: The Complete Primer For Understanding the Nutrition of Fats, Oils, and Cholesterol that "as a result of the presence of fat in the small intestine, special hormones are produced that prevent hunger contractions. ... Too much fat in the diet and the loss of weight is thwarted; too little and the hunger pangs play havoc with good intentions and usually lead to overeating carbohydrates."

man i have zeor appetite the last few days
i had a 6 whole egg +4 egg white +bacon + fried onion+ broccoli omelet this morning
i hade 6 egg whites + handful of nuts a little after
a had 24 gram whey + left over bacon
chicken breast + left over bacon + small handful nuts
24 gram whey shake + left over bacon + small handful nuts
:-\ im dieting ayway (yea i know...diet/bulk/diet bulk/diet bulk..but whatever..it works for me ad i like it this way)..so its good that i dont got an appetite however i cant even get myself to eat enough meat i gotta use they whey...which idk..it might be good might be bad however i am not getting enough total protein i think... its cuz i dont wanna take oo much whey at one time (too much insulin spike i think)..so i limit each shake to one scoop

if your going to quote connely do it correctly. he said 20 grams of whey is the magic number. and in his metrx he said i believe either 36 or 37 grams was a specific number he chose speficially (i believe that was egg whites), but he didnt give a reason.

So the assimilation isn't at a high enough rate to increase muscle mass, but it's high enough that it will protect you against losing muscle... Is this true?
I eat a lot of cottage cheese every other day, I'll quit if this is true.

the rate of digestion of casein is very very slow. t wont yeild a large amount of amino acids into the blood to be used for synthesis. if you eat enough of it everyday, then youll have an "overlap". theres no reason to stop eating it, it digest abou the same as beef or chicken, just a tad slower.

That's the ENTIRE point. He doesn't back ANYTHING he says with any medical research. His knowledge is completely false. If you as a nutritional moderator don't see that well maybe you shouldn't be a mod of this forum. Hence why our/my bashing is completely justified, he's an arrogant teenager with no real experience.

Saying someone is educated in nutrition at the university level carries little weight when it comes human health and performance, especially bodybuilding. I have a minor in nutrition and human peformance as well as taken classes in nutritional anthropology. Most of the classes from the former is regurgitated RDA bullshit! I'm not doubting his nutritional expertise. But letting you go off at the mouth with your wrong nutritional advice and information and running a respectable nutritional forum are mutually exclusive.

I dont think you know what you are talking about to be honest. PHD in biochemistry are up to date wrt research and most things like the tca, krebs etc are well known and not bullshit. nutrition is the bastard child of true biochemistry, switch over if you are not satisfied.

Tbombz has no idea what he's talking about 99% of the time, and this quote proves it. No protein has anti-catabolic or anabolic effect. If you eat caseine and your muscles are recovering from a heavy workout, the protein in it will be used to build more tissue making it "anabolic". Conversely, if you are starving and your body is starting to chew up muscle tissue to turn into glucose via gluconeogenesis in the liver and you drink lactalbulmin, it will be used to make glucose instead of your muscle tissue, sparing your muscle tissue from being used for fuel and thus having an anti-catabolic effect. Any protein can be used either to halt catabolism or for anabolism. It is the need of the body that determines whether a protein will be used for anti-catabolism or for anabolism, and not the type of protein.
