Squated Highbar Friday (box squats for 5s) and Yesterday (belt and wrap 4s). My upper back is hamburger. Anyone else squat highbar? It sucks...

Yes. Powerlifter use a lower placement on their back so they can bend forward and get better leverage and use different/more muscle than doing highbar squats.
My shoulders get pretty red from the yolks on the Hack Squats, in addition to squat bars too.

I'm a powerlifter and I squat high bar. It feels more comfortable for me. When I squat low bar it feels as if the bar is going to slide off my back :-\

high feels insecure to me. but no matter where it goes i get burst vessels. it's a skin condition. hell i get it on the back of my shoulders from benching.

I get marks too but they go away after a few hours. This is like a scab across my back. My highbar is about 20-30 lbs down from my lowbar squats. I find it dosent feel any less secure on my back but I get off balance and onto my toes when I go heavy highbar.

Not necessarily.
Look at Russian powerlifters and many European powerlifters as well. Very powerful squatters, with the bar placed high. It actually depends on what suit and under what rules you lift.

I only squat highbar... feels great. No pain or anything.
And it allows you to squat while staying pretty upright.
I only do goodmornings with a low bar placement.
