I had my first driving test today and the Lowlife son of a bitch examiner failed me for "hesitating at a pedestrian crossing" when the lights were flashing orange apparantly that is a "serious mistake". I didn't make any other mistakes in the whole fucking test.
Driving Tests in the UK cost £56 which is like $112 >:(
Got me soo fucking pissed off but atleast i had one of my best shoulder/trap workouts in a while afterwards at the gym lol.
-
I passed second time round. In Belfast NI the first time pass rate is something stupid around 10%
-
Everybody passes in the States on the first try. One reason we have such lousy drivers.
-
Second time, I passed.

Were you supposed to run him down at full speed?
...2nd time for me :-[

Video proof or it never happened.

2x
Seriously. There needs to be reaction time and IQ tests. In some states, the multiple choice part of the test is open book. ::)
But ya know, the libs would scream unfair! if every slobbering idiot wasn't allowed to drive.
-
Every test cost 110 euro in sweden.
Expensive as SHIT.
And Y failes the first one. 145 dollars
-
1st time for car at 17
1st time for truck at 20 something
-
First time. 3 U.K. minors.
-
1st time. But, if we're being honest here, it was probably another 9-12 months later that I really had the 'skills' to be driving on a regular basis.
/standard ftw!
-
2nd time.. but i did it on a bike not a car.. didnt get my first car till senior in college.. 17 year old on a crotch rocket. im lucky to still be alive.
-
first time baby!
-
1st time with 3 minors on a torrentially rainy Scottish morning. Sweated more than during a leg workout. Thought i'd failed about 10 minutes in, relaxed me a lot.

No, the reason we have such lousy drivers is because people don't continue to learn once they pass their test. They are in a hurry, and don't thoroughly know what the rules of the road are.
One time, I'm in my 18 wheeler on the freeway, driving the speed limit in the slow lane. About 20yds before the exit, a lady in a CR-V cuts from the fast lane (four lanes over) and takes the exit. I nearly missed her, could've jack knived my rig and taken out I don't know how many other people with me just because she couldn't be bothered to take the next exit. As I pass her wiping the sweat off my brow from the sudden adrenalin surge, I honk my air horn as if to say "You know you were wrong..." and the bitch turns around and flips me off!!!
People drive horrible here.
-
it took me twice actually, i came home and my broskies were ready to take to the streets and smash some vagina but it would have to wait another 30 days... it was embarrassing, the dud told me to k-turn but i didn't parallel park yet ..whatever.. so i asked what he wanted me to do, he said just drive back. I knew he was bout to fail me . >:(

Main difference is that EVERYBODY learns/drives a MANUAL in the UK
In America from what i have seen, it's mainly automatics.
-
2nd time.I failed the first time because I thought you got points for hitting the illegals :-\
-
Main difference is that EVERYBODY learns/drives a MANUAL in the UK
How does that affect the persons driving skills? I didn't realize that it was so hard to merge, say while you're stuck in freeway traffic and in first gear only, using a stick or it being any different than an automatic. ::)

Same here.
Americans cant even drive a Stick haha.
How hard is it to drive a manual? Lol.

why drive a manual? -- all the gear shifting is painful, automatic is much more comfortable.

Its alot more fun to drive a manual. Where is the fun in driving a auto? :/

I agree with you there swede -- more fun driving a manual

I can drive a stick far better than your tiny ass.
Double clutch, single clutch, fuck using any clutch at all. Give me any speed transmission from 3 to 18, and I'll run circles around you.

That's why I said "one" reason we have such lousy drivers in my post. Our drivers ed classes are a joke, the test is a joke and then we cut kids lose and they fend for themselves.
-
First time, drove a car a few times in the country and passed.
-
America doesn't have roundabouts.
Berkely CA is full of them, and San Francisco has a couple of them too.
-
1st time
-
1st time i had to back up through some cones, man i smashed into like 3 of em
i asked can i do it again? ;D
But i passed the 2nd time out of pure luck

Real drivers. drive manual.
End of story.

Everybody passes in the States on the first try. One reason we have such lousy drivers.
LMAO....... ;D My cousin has tried, I think 140 times....I am greatful that she continues to fail. My hope is she will make the Guiness World Record..... ::)
-
Passed the first time. At the end we stopped outside the parking lot and he fired 5 million questions at me, we roll away and I had the emergency brake on lol... I thought he pressed down on the break on the passenger side so I stopped then started driving again. Dude was a fuckin' douche.
Just basically drive like a grandma would, acknowledge any dangers, signs, etc and you should pass the first or second time. That's all they want you to do up here.
-
First time, but just barely (by 2 points I think).
-
Took drivers ed. in H.S., got a certificate of completion, cashed it in at the DMV, got my license. ;D
-
driving a manual takes too much effort. i have too many tickets to have fun driving, so driving is boring. and driving a manual while driving slow and normal is mind-numbing. id rather sit back and chill.
-
Everybody passes in the States on the first try.
Except STella, apparently:
...2nd time for me :-[
-
Late update, i passed my test shortly after making this topic along time ago, but they failed me 3 times before passing on my 4th attempt!
:D ;D
Fucking discrimination because im a 18 year old man with pony tail i say, i never made any dangerous mistakes on all my tests, i failed one for parking to far out from pavement lmao, i know people who did that but didn't get shit for it.
-
I never bothered to get i licence to much waste of time and money. Me never got pulled over and me be driving for 10years

First time, 100% on written and in-car test.
-
Passed second time around here in the US...forgot my indicators first time around... :-\
-

Unless you have a job and traffic is a part of your life. Stick's are impractical and useless 98% of the time. They are fun if your out on a Sunday in your lambo, but something tells me you drive a normal car (like most of us).
-
Driving manual sux if u r in bumper to bumper traffic most of your day and u never get out of second
i learned on a 60 something toyota corona (now the mach 3 i think?)
the gears were on the steering wheel
-

Passed on first try.
I drvie stick, but prefer automatic in city traffic...

When I got my license in Hawaii I didn't pass the first time. I did a speaking thing at Castle High a couple days before. I went into the DMV that is located right next to the high school and Police. There was a class in there taking a field trip. When I went up to the lady and she graded my test she said in a louder than regular voice I didn't pass. All the kids heard her and started laughing at me.
