I am a female that is considering steroid and HGH use. My goal is to shed body fat and develop lean muscle mass while maintaining all of my feminine features. I have been reading a lot about the various side effects in women that use steroids. I need help in finding the right types of steroids and HGH for women and how to dose with minimal side effects. I am 5 feet tall, 33-years old, I currently weigh about 140 lbs., I have 4 children and I do not have any major health issues.
Suggestions and recommendations are appreciated. I am not looking to compete, but to softly transform my body.
Thank in advance,
Mimi6

unless you plan on making some$$$ with your body in figure, fitness, or bbing. dont risk your health or waste your money. Get on a good diet like the south beach, weight train for 1 hour 5 days a week and do 1 hour of cardio 5 days a week to start.

Pretty hard to beat diet and exercise. :)

What this guy said.
Stay away from the chemicals unless youare going to compete, nothing beats a good diet and hard work.

Mimi these guys are right.

You say the above are your goals, then I do not recommend you use ANYTHING AT ALL other than glutamine, a fat-burner like Lipo6 and maybe Amino Acids.
What you need to do is work out hard and eat clean.
You say you've read about side effects of steroids in women...have you seen pictures? To each their own though. I don't know what all they use but if you stick with over the counter stuff you should be OK. You will maintain all of your feminine features.
It's about hard work and diet to get you to your goal.
I dieted for 10 weeks and saw a huge difference in my body. I took one Lipo6 in the morning before my workout. After my workout (5 days a week) I had a serving of glutamine in water.
3 weeks before my show my trainer told me I should have been taking Amino Acids. I went to the health store and got some and took them...I think it was like 6 a day or something.
I took no illegal drugs, steroids, etc.
I lost body fat and gained/maintained lean muscle.
Hard work and clean eating. You don't need that other stuff for the goals you stated.

Yes, I was very lean. My husband preferred me about 5 weeks into the diet. Then as veins came out in my stomach he didn't find it very appealing.

I am not totally familiar with "Clean Eating"? I have been struggling with abdominal fat for a long time, since I had my last child 8-years ago. I have taken fat burners, I currently take Amino's, ZMA's, Egg Protein, Multi's, Omega's, Nitric Oxide and additional Folic Acid, Zinc, Lysine and Iron. I suffer from cold sores so I have to what how much L-Arganine I take in. From time to time I will take a Probiotic and do the Master Cleanse.
My husband has been thinking about trying a few cycles and we where going to try it out together. We had watched "Bigger, Faster, Stronger" and learned a lot from that. The one thing that we discovered is that I can not take the same stuff my husband would take.
I currently workout 7 days a week, I dance for about 1.5 hours or I get on the Elliptical Machine for 30 minutes and then I weight train for about 45 minutes to 1 hour. I alternate upper body and lower body and I alternate heavy workout days and light workout days to avoid overtraining and causing injuries. I light medium to heavy for my height, build and size.
I feel like I have hit a wall and I am not burning the fat off the way I want to.
Getting Frustrated & Impatient ???

Eating clean is what is going to make you see results.
I'd say it's about 80% - 90% of the battle.
For instance off the top of my head I ate a diet like this for about 7 weeks:
Meal 1:
6 egg whites, 1/2 cup oatmeal
Meal 2:
about 5 oz chicken breast w/ about 5oz sweet potato
Meal 3:
Protein shake
Meal 4:
Orange Roughy, steamed asparagus and 1/2 c. brown rice
Meal 5:
4 egg whites, 1/2 apple
Meal 6 (optional)
Protein shake
It was something like that. No butter, no sauces etc. I would use I can't believes it's not butter spray and one packet of splenda and some ground cinnamon on my oatmeal. I would use ~ one T. of flax oil and one packet of splenda in my brown rice. Sometimes I had strawberries in my shake or had Ezekial toast in place of the 1/2 apple. I also sprinkled some balsamic vinegar on my chicken and sweet potato meal.
You do a diet like this for 10 - 14 weeks and you'll be right where you want to be I think. In fact, maybe only do it for 7 weeks and you'll be very pleased :)
The last 3 weeks of my diet had low, med and higher carb days and I haven't been able to find it. My trainer really knows what she is doing! She could give you a diet designed for your body type but of course things of value like this cost money. But it seems you're ready to spend money to see improvements anyway.
If you use drugs and don't eat clean I think you're still not going to accomplish the goals that you have. You HAVE to eat clean.
-
I also suggest you subscribe to Oxygen Magazine. There are good workouts and eating plans in there and it is a very motivating, inspirational magazine as well.
In addition, they put out a magazine called "Clean Eating." It has several "clean" recipes per issue...if you don't want to do a strict diet like the one I posted above,...a "Clean Eating" issue will give you more variety from which to choose.

I just did a Google search for books on Clean Eating and I found a book by Tosca Reno called "The Eat-Clean Diet Cookbook". I placed an order for it.
Any other ideas and suggestions; I am all ears ;D

Yes! That is one you want! Tosca is in Oxygen a lot too.
Definitely consider subscribing to Oxygen and Clean Eating Magazines.
Oxygen really helped me get through my contest prep.
I keep my issues so I can always go back through them.
You should have one at your grocery...go take a look and buy it. I am pretty sure you'll want to subscribe! :)

is that you in that pic Stella?
-
Okay, I will look through the book and begin putting a eating plan into place.
But, just out of curiosity and for the hell of it; if I still wanted to use synthetics, what would be recommended for a female?
I have been reading that HGH is not as bad as steroids, and I am finding out additional information about DHEA. Can anyone help me with these inquiries?
I like to know what all of my options are, so I can make the best choice for me. I am taking everything that everyone is telling me into account. All advice and suggestions are helpful and appreciated.
Thanks,
Mimi6

it's your body and your life, do what you want, none of anyone's business what you put into your body, understand though that there are always side effects with these substances.

Mimi, Quaker Oats is right, it's totally your choice what you want to do and no one else's business. But I would suggest attempting to diet down first.
I have no idea about synthetics or DHEA or HGH stuff. You may get good advice on the Steroid board or even the women's training board possibly.
But consider dieting down w/o it first. Competitors look so lean whether they use or not because they have dieted. Those things you are talking about are not going to magically make you lean and muscular as far as I know. Competitors still work their butts off and are extremely disciplined in their eating.
what a jerk! lol :P

Nope!

wowza. :o

I will take a look over on the other boards to see what I can find. I am just weighing all of my options as well as looking at the pros and cons. This was something that my husband and I both have been looking into. We tend to workout together and bounce different ideas off of each other.
Thanks again :)

Mimi - the kicker is you say you want to maintain your feminine features. If you use steroids, you won't. You may think you do as the changes are so tiny and gradual that you will not see them, but they are there and others will see it. Notice, one never meets a masculine looking women who realizes it - ever. I have never known one to admit it - as they just don't see it themselves.
Thats really a choice you make - nothing I advise, but not my body.
Unless you want to be a national level bodybuilder, you can achieve all you want without gear. The diet STella posted is great and main keys are consistency and dedication. You said you have 4 kids, so for you I am sure time is tight - so if you keep diet really strict and maximise your training time with intensity that is key
-
How'd I miss this one?
I agree, you should really just focus on your diet and training. There's really no need to go much further than that. There are A FEW OTC supplements that may help you out, feel free to PM me if you have any questions about that.
Stella............ :o............. hottie!! :-*

I guess I understand; I am just tired! :'(
There is a ton of things going on in my life right now and I realized that I have been neglecting myself far too long. I workout just about every night; that is the best time for me to get my workouts in without distractions. I am ready to get rid of the excess body fat, especially my tummy.
I have thought about surgery, but can't afford it and afraid that something would go wrong. I have been doing a ton of research on gear and the many different ways to use it with minimal sides. Maybe I am just frustrated and impatient?
Something has to change for the better; I can't continue like this. The things I want I can't afford or I don't have time. I need help ???
Thanks,
Mimi6

you're healthy, have a roof over your head, clothes on your back, your child is healthy, you have money coming in, think about people with sick children or REAL problems other than being a little overweight
-
Mimi, we would all like a quick fix for our bodies and for them to get to where we want them to be right away!
But the fact is, it took some time to gain the weight, it will take time to lose it.
You must be disciplined and focused. Each morning you wake up after a day of eating clean can be seen as a type of victory!
Consider eating clean(er) for 7 weeks. If you do, I can just about guarantee your spirits will be lifted and you'll have hope and motivation to continue!

QO, I am not just concerned about my weight. This may be too personal, but I found out a few months ago that my husband had been cheating on me off and on for 5 years (with multiple women). We have been married for almost 14-years and we have 4 children. I have never cheated on my husband although I have had many opportunities.
I guess right now I am hurt, angry and scared. I have to do this for me; I have to find ME again. I have chosen to stay and I can only hope that he won't fuck up again. I need something to focus on besides this bullshit; I know this is not what everyone wants to hear about because it is completly off of the subject. But, it is indirectly related to my goals.
I am not fat or overwieght according to my doctor; I do have a pudgy belly. I wear a size 6 in womens and a size 8 in juniors; now I know that for most of the women on this forum I would be considered obese. I don't see myself that way, but realistically I am not toned.
Maybe this will shed a little more light on my situation; I have ton more I could add to the list of my life's drama. But, I do understand what QuakerO is trying to say; thing's could be mush worse. What doesn't kill you only makes you strong!!! :-\

Damn! I hope everything can work out for you guys. :(
Two books that I would recommend for you both to read are:
"The 5 Love Languages" by Gary Chapman
"His Needs, Her Needs" by Somebody? Harley
Also, "Love Must be Tough" by Dobson is a good one.
The first 2 are primarily about how to make each other happy and the last one tells you how not to put up w/crap.
"The 5 Love Languages" was instrumental in saving my marriage imo. We weren't in your situation, but we needed to work on things to make them better. It is a great book.

No, you are not considered obese here.
Most competitors do not walk around ripped year round.
I weigh about 13 pounds more than I weighed in that pic I posted. I'd like to lose about 5 or 6 pounds of fat right now though.
By writing things down I'm avoiding the dreaded "dessert after lunch" and too much wine at night!

the reason he cheated isn't because you're "overweight" or not pretty it's because he wanted something different, plain and simple, that's what guys do, youcan be the hottest girl in the world but after a few years a guy gets tired of the same old thing.

I think you have gotten super advices here ... you HAVE to WANT to change to make any significant goal a reality .. IMHO right now you're grasping at too many options and won't commit to one .. eating healthy and clean
What you put in your body is going to show up in some way .. if it's not good for you then you won't look good .. if it's too much .. you'll be too big ... if you're dealing with outside stressors it will only inhibit any actual result you seek
I don't think dancing is necessary if you're doing cardio and weights , that time you spend dancing could be used for chopping vegetables , making weekly meal menus etc.
If you can't get the family to eat clean and more healthy with you what options will they have when you get the junk outta the house ?
As far as your problem areas are concerned ..?.. look at newmom's thread
she's done extraordinarily well with her training .. she's changed her life and it shows .. no magic potion was sought for .. just hard work and good healthy living
good luck with whatever you choose , but taking the stuff you and your husband are looking at won't change "who" you are and in the long run may very well become one of your biggest mistakes
-
Mimi I am posting this here in hopes that you'll see it
I am trying to send you a PM in response to your last one but it won't go through. I wonder if you inadvertantly "blocked" people from sending you PMs?
Please PM me if you get me unblocked!

if the picture of the brunette on the main board is you then you're a pretty girl, nothing to be self-conscious about, pretty face, nice body, if your husband is cheating then he must have either wanted a blonde or maybe wants something he isn't getting at home, and that's as real as it gets.

Please...I don't wanna hear about getting rid of belly fat after having kids. I had 2 kids (one of them was 9.5lbs). I had a pooch for the longest time. I was overweight and considered a chubby soccer mom at age 41. At age 44 I stepped on stage. ;D
-
Mimi, feel free to start a diet/training journal on the Women's BB Board. It may help to motivate you and make you feel more accountable. Also, we can help give you feedback and answer any questions you may have. There are also alot of threads on the Women's BB Board with dieting tips, etc.
:)
-
Mimi, sorry to be all in your business, but your husband didn't cheat because of you - he did it as he is inconsiderate. Simple. You guys have a family and 4 kids, and he takes it upon himself to cheat - merely shows a personality flaw in him - not you. But yes, do what it takes to feel good about yourself ;)
I actually as some know lost 100lbs. Thats quite a long road to take, and worth every bit of time, from my perspective you have a short road to go down. Laura posted her newer pics, she should have included her older pics to - she also made a great transformation. Train hard, eat well and go for it.
Lots of drama on this board, but bar none, all the females are supportive and wish you well in all ways, and most of us can answer any questions you have.
