So I drove with 2 friends to the Arnold this year and had a great time. Working the Species booth and going out with friends made for a long tiring weekend but I managed to get in a terrific workout with Niko Hulslander on Friday on the platforms at the show. I pulled 374 for my last set...not too shabby! I'm only 2 weeks out from my powerlifting meet and I am super excited after watching some of the pl at the Arnold.
On Saturday I meet with Wolfgang from the boards, he ended up meeting out with us later at Boma for the afterhours party. I also had the chance to see AZ from the boards although we only chatted for a few minutes. Blockhead was of course there although he was with his lady friend which was a pleasant change rather then Special Ed.

as far as discounts I get them a bit under wholesale so I can order them and resell them to my friends around me but I can't handle shipping them so unless you are close I can't help you!

Beast for someone who trains as much and as hard as you do, you've got zero muscletone. If I saw you and didn't know any better I would say you probably didn't train and were just overweight. Even in offseason it's obvious when someone is at the competition level.

Yeh and i got called out on it Saturday night, and you what I'm entitled to my own opinion and I can get a with it because i don't work in the industry and i'm not running for public office anytime soon. I'm not for every body, but The Beast, Ron, and myself had one hell of a ROCK STAR weekend.
I'm a lot better in person then online. Many people who meet me Saturday night said that to my face and i took it as a nice complement. One of the best parts to end the night was Rick Collins and I trying to get a cab back to the hotel and walking through the ghetto and talking about BIGGER STRONGER FASTER before one stopped and pick us up.

1. Does HHH really use Palumbos "Species" or is he just paid alot for wearing the Tee?
2. Beast looks better than ever when off.
3. Wolfgang has a very awkard standing position, almost like a ballet-dancer!

Great photos. I have little doubt you will be quite successful as your hard training is sure to pay huge dividends.
One of the photos shows you with a brunette from Species who I understand is married to a professional bodybuilder originally from Eurpope. I don't know the young lady's name but she is quite bright and, in my opinion, extremely attractive. She is definitely one of the too few women in figure/fitness/bb who would be interesting to talk with as I suspect she is well-rounded and can move onto topics other than just protein/carb ratios. I was sad to learn she is married.

thanks Harley...not sure who you are talking about at first I thought it may be Mavi but I don't have any pics with her and she doesn't speak English well at all. In the other pics are Britt (single), JulieAnn (married from Minnesota), Athena(Canadian), and Lena...not sure if Athena or Lena are married...regardless I would guess you are talking about Athena and she is quite knowledgable and just a nice funny woman.

Great photos. I have little doubt you will be quite successful as your hard training is sure to pay huge dividends.
One of the photos shows you with a brunette from Species who I understand is married to a professional bodybuilder originally from Eurpope. I don't know the young lady's name but she is quite bright and, in my opinion, extremely attractive. She is definitely one of the too few women in figure/fitness/bb who would be interesting to talk with as I suspect she is well-rounded and can move onto topics other than just protein/carb ratios. I was sad to learn she is married.

Also, the placement of that Weight Band Belly Control thing around her waist is a horrible move especially if you are already suffering from Dwarfism (5 feet tall or so). It shortens the torso even more and creates a scrunched appearance which does zero to accentuate height. In fact, it has the negative effect and only serves to give Verne Troyer types a boner.

I have to strongly agree with both TA and Danny here. It's worth noting that BEAST works with drug guru Palumbo year round. So she goes from being dangerously low bodyfat to being a little porker. This is the way with these kind of regimes these people are on.
Also, yes, the things around the waist only heighten and draw attention to the burgeoning stomach on Jen BEAST. As evidenced here with here pic with a sweaty Palumbo. I don't believe these people have any fashion sense or people advising them - except each other and hence the clothes look worse and worse. Like Danny I did also wonder if she was pregnant but that would be bad news as she is currently moving between broken relationship after broken relationship and doing the schmoe squat stuff. This would not be healthy for a growing child. Not only that, female bodybuilders have fertility issues.

Ugh, well I suppose it did have to turn into a bashing me for being off-season thread at some point. Just for all your boys information I was there with Dave as a salesperson, I do outside sales for Species Nutrition...I wasn't there as a model as I stated in a different Arnold thread. The salespeople received men's polo shirts which were just a bit large, yes even for my obese frame. The women with these on tied them up because we would have been swimming in them. No, surprisingly I left my cummerbund at home this trip and I am actually wearing tank tops...actually tank top-sports bras underneath the shirt.
I'm not a midget and I don't stay in contest shape year round, I love baking and cooking and I enjoy having an off-season. My weight class for my powerlifting meet is 147.5 so I have put on about 4 pounds from my normal off-season weight to come in a bit heavier for my meet.

Ugh, well I suppose it did have to turn into a bashing me for being off-season thread at some point. Just for all your boys information I was there with Dave as a salesperson, I do outside sales for Species Nutrition...I wasn't there as a model as I stated in a different Arnold thread. The salespeople received men's polo shirts which were just a bit large, yes even for my obese frame. The women with these on tied them up because we would have been swimming in them. No, surprisingly I left my cummerbund at home this trip and I am actually wearing tank tops...actually tank top-sports bras underneath the shirt.
I'm not a midget and I don't stay in contest shape year round, I love baking and cooking and I enjoy having an off-season. My weight class for my powerlifting meet is 147.5 so I have put on about 4 pounds from my normal off-season weight to come in a bit heavier for my meet.

Great that I will be out lifting all of the little boys on here next weekend, right now I am a powerlifiter. I'm not fat, I weight 145...I'm natural, I am not going to look huge and ripped when I am off-season.

Hey Jen,
I don't know what all the bashing is about. You don't hold yourself out as a model or figure girl so what's with all the hating thrown at you? You are a powerlifter, that's your thing. You will have to look a certain way to achieve an optimum performance level in that particular sport. Each discipline requires different preparation and a different physique. You stated you weren't at the Arnold as a "model" so that should be the end of it.
The truth is, you being a girl, you can get laid anytime you want and maybe that pisses some guys off. It doesn't require you looking like Christine Pomponio-Pate or Monica Brandt. In the end, almost all of us on this site are not satisfied with how we look and aspire to a higher level. We are all limited in different degrees to achieving our ideal physique and that causes a great deal of inner conflict. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that all of us on this site have some internal battle we are fighting. I first joined this site to hear how others deal with some of the same things I feel frustrated about.
It always takes me by surprise when the unwarranted bashing comes up but that is much of the attraction to this site. The guys, for the very most part, are very witty and computer talented. Additionally, given that America is the land of free opinion, we shouldn't suppress divergent opinions in a hasty manner.
I am always glad to read your insider perspective and appreciate the photos as I didn't care to attend the Arnold. I wish you success in your endeavor to out lift all of us on this site.
