The second chick looks like a reasonably attractive housewife. Couple of kids, snacks on junk and worries about her weight.

First chick looks  like a fitness professional with a contract.

So, what's wrong with this picture?

If I am correct in my assumption I think I can prove that your average hard working woman with good genetics is a better choice to sell supplements than your average "pro". Keep in mind, the girl in the first pic looks like that year round.

Yes, let's be honest about the purpose of these booth girls, they're there to:

a) Look really hot and fuckable for the guys in the crowd.

b) Convey to the girls in the crowd: "hey, you too can be hot and fuckable, if you use these supps".

The Beast did neither of these things this time around.

Do you think your charisma and physique can do the talking at an expo and sell products? No bashing really, a serious question.

:). Perhaps Palumbo would've been better off hiring some dancers off the floor of the local strip club, and letting Beasty sit this one out.

She looks like she should be selling womens easy fit slacks, not supps.

You have to be delusional to stand amongst all these fit personalities, snap photos, and represent the same products being in that condition. I'm sure Palumbo wasn't thinking good things when he handed her the shirt and then handing the same shirt to Mavi Gioia. And stop with the offesason, powerlifter stuff as there is zero muscletone displayed.

I'm better behind a phone talking numbers to potential buyers and setting up advertising.  Being behind an expo requires you to be part of the young and beautiful crowd...thus the reason why Onlyme's expo booth failed because he's fat.

Think about it guys, Supplement companies want to make money, that money comes mainly from the average person whether that be man or woman. The competitors are a minuscule portion of their sales. Why promote women who look good a month out of the year when most people want to look good year round?

I wouldnt want her working my booth though. She wouldnt do anything to bring people to the booth. She has an average body, and average looks. One a scale of 1-10 she is about a 4.To work a booth at an expo you got to be atleast a 6, with a smoking body, or an 8 or above.A 4 will do nothing buy take up space

Danni, this chicks don't get paid to represent this products.  90 % of them pay for their own hotel  and airfare to go to this expos. they  just do it  for a tub of whey  , so they can say  they have sponsors and also to get attention from men  , they call it  "exposure" ::),

The arnold is simply a money pit companies feel obligated to go to.  Who cares if once a year people give that booth owner shit about the girl behind it.  If the other 362 days she's hitting the phones selling stuff, nobody cares.  The 15 people disappointed in this thread mean nothing in the scheme of some of these companies.

But why hire a chubby girl as "eye candy". Also, can you not see how Getbig overwhelmingly picks a regular girl with a great body YEAR ROUND as opposed to a Pro who looks good once a year? Would you hire a person with filthy fingernails to attract people to a manicurists shop? This whole thing just makes no sense.

Dan, the kind of girls milling around the Arnold booths are NOT homebodies who watch the shopping channel. They either are with guys into bodybuilding or into it themselves. Jen is going through a powerlifting phase. I think a lot of them would know who she is and why she's bigger.

To be fair, she can't do right for doing wrong; if she's ripped it's disgusting and she should  be fatter. When she's a bit bulkier she should be ripped to the bone. Most guys - not you - just want to abuse a chick who looks hot and is there and a target.

I have no problem with the Beast. And I do not give her shit for being too fat or being too thin. Good for her if she can sucker Dave into paying for her in that kind of shape. The real issue here is 99% of Getbiggers prefer Jezzebelles body(even though they may or may not like TA!) over a so-called pro. So, why doesn't Dave just hire nice lean women like Jezz to work the booths ??? Remember this is a once in a year event, a real pro would show up in shape imo. When men show up to guest pose fat we give them shit, so what's the difference?

Jezebelle is a bit different in that she has no camaraderie amongst her kind when it comes to the whole working out thing.  In fact, she encourages me to rail even harder against the Delusional and the drug users.  The other day we melted down this dopey Figure competitor who is about to compete by walking in the Gym with some Burger King Whoppers. (My suggestion as I didn`t want any eating in my Mercedes :) )  This delusional competitor could not figure out why Jezebelle was leaner with more muscle and eating a Whopper.  It further blew her mind when we told her that we NEVER do cardio either.  Just for giggles we asked her what she was eating.  She said, "60 grams of carbs, only oatmeal and rice for carbs".

Jezebelle and I had a good laugh about that.  OF course we left that idiot dumbfounded so that she inevitably was left questioning her entire being.  It is best that way, for the delusional will NEVER learn.

I'd hire whoever would work and work hard.  After the show, nobody cares what the girl looked like.  You care about the impact of your production sales and ROI.  I won't name which booth, but I watched a very average, if not below average girl, sell the SHIT out of some product.  Hot girls that stand around are worthless.

Call this company an idiot, but you guys are talking about it and posting about it.  Don't see many other posts in regards to other companies.  I rarely had the hottest girls in my booth, but my girls busted their ass.  They were paid well for it and made me a lot of money at these shows.

But why would anyone buy a supplement that makes them fat? Isn't the girl working the booth supposed to at least pretend to use the products?

Dan, the kind of girls milling around the Arnold booths are NOT homebodies who watch the shopping channel. They either are with guys into bodybuilding or into it themselves. Jen is going through a powerlifting phase. I think a lot of them would know who she is and why she's bigger.

To be fair, she can't do right for doing wrong; if she's ripped it's disgusting and she should  be fatter. When she's a bit bulkier she should be ripped to the bone. Most guys - not you - just want to abuse a chick who looks hot and is there and a target.

Exactly!

I still find it strange that in womens bodybuilding the women look horrendous 10 months out of the year compared to a normal girl who watches her weight and takes care of herself. There is no money is womens bodybuilding, for whatever reason you have to look like a pig most of the year and you get no respect whatsoever. What's the point of doing it? I only used Jezzebelle as an example cuz her pic caught my eye this morning, I could have just as easily plugged in Kelly Ripa or a number of other women who look infinitely better. It just makes no sense to me. How can someone let themselves go like that and be considered "professional" ???

The sub-culture that exists in their circles only fuels their delusion and irrationality.  For instance, they restrict themselves so much for no reason, that after their little competitions, they gorge themselves silly for months on end, not realizing that this all or nothing approach is completely futile.  They then mask it by calling it "powerlifting" or "bulking".

They don`t realize that they could eat whatever they want from day one, to competition and after, and they don`t have to go hog fucking wild like some starved land mammal.

Seriously, they are an entirely irrational type.

Would you say that with the help of your lovely girlfriend we debunked the theory that a "pro" womens bodybuilder looks better than a healthy average gymgoer? And perhaps more importantly the owners of these supplement companies need to worry less about who will wrestle with them after the show and worry more about hiring good looking fit girls for their booths?

Beast is a pretty girl with a great smile and she seems to be quite nice. But you don't go to the strip clubs to see fat girls, so why have them working the booths?

Hi Rip, happy Friday evening to you :) Can you please tell me where the hole in my theory is? The Beast is not a celebrity by any means, its not like having George Clooney there after he filmed Syriana and was heavier, she is just a bodybuilder who may or may not squat guys for money. Jezz is in much better shape than her, and by that reasoning assuming they were both equally hard workers, Jezz would attract much more business Daves way. Can you please tell me how I am wrong without calling me an idiot? If not, have a nice weekend :)

Fwiw, my sisters boyfriend took her to the Arnold expo last year, mainly there to see the UFC, but they went to the expo one of the days. She said there were too many freaks there for her, but her BF told me he got some great deals on supplements and plenty of freebies. So in this one case at least, there was a girl who never works out and a guy who although trains, is no where near what you would call a gym junkie.

Perhaps they should have two sets of booths.  One for the obese booth models and one for those in shape.  Perhaps that kind of business model will cater to all.

Keep this in mind fellas, TA, love him or hate him is the most polarizing figure here. Many people who disagree with him on everything are still saying what is painfully obvious. Has one person even chosen Beast yet? Makes you wonder what the criteria is for hiring the booth girls. Not to take away from Jezz's beauty, because she really is a stunner, but I am sure Dave could find similar girls such as her who would take the job seriously and show up in shape ready to help the company, not just eat donuts all day. I am genuinely intrigued by this business decision.

I love how people on here "know" that women at the booth were actually able to sell a product.  All they did was hand you a bag, take a picture with you and get you to that booth for 30 seconds.  That's not selling a product, that's giving you a sample.  Big difference.

The TOP picture if you want a cookie-cut answer.

What people fail to think about is that SPECIES Nutrition is a company with a huge cult-like following which are people who diet-down and compete on a regular basis. That's Species' forte'. The underground 'clique' of competitors who pretty much all use Dave's ketogenic style of dieting. So what that gives these people are a unique understanding and personal knowledge based on experience. With that being said 9 out of 10 SPECIES buyers, users, distributors, junkies and fanatics will remember the 2008 Jr. USA's and know that Cowan won the OVERALL.

To further illustrate what I am saying here is the average SPECIES user knows and appreciates an offseason when calories and dieting is not a concern. So when they look at a Cowan more than likely they didn't see anything besides.. "Oh, that's Jen Cowan."

SPECIES had plenty of people at thier table that were in top condition. SPECIES can also care less about the gimmick of having people in top condition to help 'sell products' because Species users, distributors and even buyers also know what role gear plays in it as well. Species also had 'regular folks' there to help sell, talk about and explain product detail that were in no way, shape or form a bodybuilder. They were salespeople.

Cowan does distributing for SPECIES. Dave granted her a spot because she is a name and people will come to the table to talk to her, meet her, take pics with her and so forth, which happend exactly like that. Notice the pics of her here, the threads about her here, how many times SPECIES is mentioned, written and thought of over and over. Dave may look like a shaven Sasquatch but he isn't simple like one.

SPECIES can give a shit about consumers who only buy because a model-stripper was standing in front of their booth looking bored handing out a sample shot of their 'cell-mass'. They don't need to be concerned about that. Their established and the hype grows more and more and their 'minions' grow even larger.

SPECIES cult-like following follow the boards. SPECIES had a variety of people who were in shape, out of shape, a disgusting shape (Joel G) and whatever other shape in between.

If Jen was a nobody then why is this thread 5-Pages and how many times has her name and the company SPECIES been mentioned on GB (most popular BB forum ever) within the last 10 days?

BEVERLY International is one of the most successful companies in existence. Not a single person in shape at their booth and they had a line across the expo to purchase their stuff at a discounted price. They had salespeople there. No bodybuilders, athletes, nothing. Nobody.

In the Pride Nutrition picture she was dieting for an upcomming show. The latest picture she is in admist of a powerlifting meet.

Imagine if Jez actually trained properly. ;D

You and I know how booths really work ,and who you want working you booth. You cant expect guys who dont buy suppelements, or probably dont even work out to understand what your trying to expalin to them. Its like trying to teach a pig to sing, it will annoy the pig, and waiste you valuable time.
Jen was in here offeason, so she was a little off condition, people who dont compete in bodybuilding wouldnt know this. They think that bodybuilders should be big and ripped all the time, lol
Fast 400 this is getbig, so you cant take these guys seriousy.
Most of them are probably agoraphobic ( mispelled) 30-35 who live in there mothers basement, and have not life. The only good thing about trhis board is it is amusing.

all danielson said was that a booth should have fit looking, hot girls working there, not a chubby off-season female BBer.  99% of the supplement companies agree with this and have HOT FIT girls working their booth ;)

Yes, but SPECIES wanted bodybuilders and people who really actually use their stuff unlike say... B$N?

The clientel that SPECIES wants understands things like off-season and what that brings. Most of them even know very well that BEAST is now dabbling in the Powerlifting world.

Hot girls and bodybuilders totally ripped bodybuilders at supplement booths is so 2003. That shit is dead.

Beverly International. Just salespeople in polo shirts who never train behind their booth. Line around the corner to buy discounted Beverly products.

Simple question "Block" If her appearance and physique don't matter ..why bother getting in this kinda shape for a different company...and which physique would persuade you to buy a physique enhancement product?

And yet Species DID  have ripped up girls --- the only exception being Jen.
Look at the advert to the rght of the  picture. A ripped up muscle goddess. Nobody  uses fat people to plug physique supps.
