Title: Range of Motion
Post by: Eyeball Chambers on April 17, 2009, 03:52:47 PM
WTF

I just watched mesmorph78's Bench Press videos.  Is such a short range of motion normal for you guys?  I don't think anyone mentioned it.

 ???

I can probably lift 1000 pounds if I'm only benching it 4 inches.  ::)

I don't understand how someone could accomplish anything with such a short ROM, from the video it looked like he was pushing the bar up and down about 4 inches?  ???

The firsts few reps were shorter than the rest.

I think he said it focuses more on his chest.

for rpf and Goudy  :-\
... for me locking out means your resting.. it makes the movement easer for me and lets the muscle off the hook.. my range of motion once i get heavier is 80% .. one i max like with 405 I HAVE to lock out or it will crush me.. Ive done a double with 405 before and you best believe i HAD to lock out on the first rep to rest so i could dig deep for another....
so in actual fact not locking out 100% is harder and its keeping the tension on the chest... this is whats work for me... in my earlier first 2 yrs of traing i used to lock out... but as i got more experience this is whats giving me very good gains
my range of motion wasnt 4 inches either
but thanks for the compliment and concern anyway
 ;)

I think it's funny when anyone has something to say about meso.

The guy posts a vid of a clean 405 and you have some anonymous shitstain making comments.

Meso rules all until further notice
