Uh, That is not me. You must be new here.
I am a Socialist. I do like Ron Paul`s views on foreign policy and personal Freedom though. He also has some intriguing ideas regarding debt collateralization.

I like Crist. Sexual preference has nothing to do with policy. I dont like to see this.
The Republican governor of Florida, Charlie Crist, who is strongly considering a run for Senate, will be outed in a independent film being released tomorrow.
The film, “Outrage,” tracks the outings of prominent gay political figures, such as Crist and former Republican National Committee Chairman Ken Mehlman. It’s being produced by Magnolia Pictures and will appear in Landmark Theaters across the country.
“Using some firsthand accounts of former sexual partners, old campaign footage (to occasionally humorous effect) and commentary from gay political media watchdogs, the film makes the case for each man’s homosexuality, and presents his lifetime gay rights voting record,” according to one reviewer. “In each instance, the disconnect is staggering.
“The usual suspects are all there: Craig, Florida Governor Charlie Crist, former New York mayor Ed Koch, former New Jersey Governor Jim McGreevey, former Rep. Ed Schrock, even dusty McCarthy relic Roy Cohn. Again, if you’re reading this review, then you’re likely no stranger to gay media, particularly gay online media (which is credited in the film as being one of the few places where these scandals are openly discussed) and none of these men is an unfamiliar candidate for speculation.”
-
240, to your knowledge, has he espoused an anti-gay position?
Has he actively pursued discriminatory policies against gays?

Is Crist another hypocrite? I don't know his voting record and what he's supported. If he's not a hypocrite, I agree with you, it shouldn't matter.

These hypocrites get what they deserve >:(

Fixed.
-
I don't know if he's voted anti-gay. It's long been strongly rumored he did this, but who cares, ya know? If his voting record proves otherwise (as is probbaly the case by this group outing ppl), I guess it'll be hypocritical.
I like Crist actually. And I dont know if a lot of ppl here in FL will put his preference above their need for economic help.

You know, Tom Ridge was on MSNBC last night talking about the need for repubs to STOP tossing out every "moderate" repub who has a few liberal positions. He said that is what is destroying the party. The base keeps labeling, judging, and rejecting those Repubs who take even a single position outside of the normal, labeling them as unpatriotic, etc.
I think he might be right.
I see people here saying "Screw Crist, screw arnold" because these governors are in near-bankrupt states who NEED handouts (macro welfare) to survive. And when Crist and Arnold jump parties to run for Senate, you'll say "good riddance". And soon, you'll have 15% of Americans claiming to be republicans.
You're losing your party because of your intolerance. Or is Tom Ridge a "lib" for pointing this out?
-
How can it be hypocritical? He as a representative is supposed to represent his constituents not his personal beliefs. Personally I could care less to be honest what ppl do behind closed doors is their business its when you bring it to the public arena that i have a problem with it, ie gay marriage etc...

I kinda agree with this, the reps need to be more tolerant on certain issues problem is when you give an inch the dems will take a mile so i do understand why but still...
ALSO 240 you really need to stop quoting that ignorant ass poll from the washington post via MSNBC ive seen the polls and dems and reps are losing ppl who align themselves with each party at the same rate, guess where they are going? INDEPENDENT.

Nah, it's about them attacking their own repub party members when they don't "fall into line" and vote 100% with the party.
Spector was going to lose the repub primary - being forced out by the very small repub voting primary base - because he backed the stim bill.
For his state (Penn) - they NEED that damn stim money, and the man is 80 years old with 30+ years in the senate - he knows his shit a lot more than some rookie senator. He KNEW he needed that stim for the people of Penn, and voted accordingly.
he voted FOR HIS CONSTITUENTS and the party ostracized him for not voting blindly against obammers.
Ridge is 100% right. he recognizes the party is dying because people are all too happy to escort out moderates. hey, guess what, most ppl are moderates.

WRONG!!!!THE REASON REPUBLICANS ARE LOOSING IS BECAUSE OF LIBS!!!!Did the democrats "come to the middle" when they were on the verge of distinction? No,they went way left, nominating an out and out radical leftist.NO ONE will support wishy washy people.Specter voted for the stimulous package. That package goes against EVERY single republican principle there is.
Arnold is an enviro nut.His policies and the policies of the left in that state have destroyed the state.McCAIN IS FOR CAP AND TRADE,FOR OPEN BORDERS,AGAINST TAX CUTS,the guy stands for everything republicans stand against.
Once again, when republicans run right wingers, they win. When they run leftists or those pretending to be republicans they loose. We just ran the biggest moderate/lib ever.He got smashed. Why?He couldnt make on distinction against Obama.Run a conservative thats FOR small government, for massive tax cuts, against unchecked immigration, etc. They win.

triple self-owning. you took the bait.
Look at the numbers since the election ;)
Repubs have lost TRIPLE the amount of people claiming to be in their party since the election
Take the afternoon off, Tony. Numbers and you weren't meant to be together.

LOL and dems have lost ppl as well why is that with the savior in office? of course the reps have lost ppl the lost the election brainchild what did you expect to happen that more ppl would identify as them? ::)
FACT BOTH PARTIES ARE LOSING MEMBERS
FAcT INDEPENDENTS ARE GROWING
FACT THE MAJORITY OF INDEPENDENTS IN THIS COUNTRY LEAN RIGHT
LOL doesnt mean their values have changed or their opinions on things I dont care what you are dem or rep or independent as long as you represent what i believe...

Using your evidence, I just demonstrated the fact that since the election, Republicans have lost TRIPLE the number of party member claimants than Dems.
Do you agree or disagree?

FACT BOTH PARTIES ARE LOSING MEMBERS
FAcT INDEPENDENTS ARE GROWING
FACT THE MAJORITY OF INDEPENDENTS IN THIS COUNTRY LEAN RIGHT
3/4 of the independents are from the repub party.
1/4 of the independents are from the dem party.
YOUR evidence proved this. That's all. Ridge wants the party to quit demonizing everyone who isn't a far-right yes-man. He's got a point. Another 6 months of this ratio and the repubs won't recover soon...
-
The movie should be WHO IS NOT GAY IN WASHINGTON....now you can see why the decisions being made in Washington ae so anti-child, anti-marriage, anti-heterosexual male, anti-BIBLE, anti-education..etc etc..
This should be frightening to you americans...but I am afraid you are not...you tolerate things until they become like TSUNAMIS and then you can't do anything about it. Your children are being forced to read MY TWO DADDIES or MOMMIES, but bring a Bible to school and you or your child will be thrown out. Call a girl a BITCH and nothing happens, say fag or lesbo and your in trouble...Now you know who is approving these laws and regulations...

Iono about triple i havent looked at the numbers ill agree the reps have lost more, my point is that the dems lost ppl as well
do you agree or disagree?
Independent lean right agree or disagree?
did the lean right before ppl started leaving the reps and dems? YES
will they lean right now? YES
LOL all this shows is that the reps and dems have lost ppl yes the reps lost more but the simple fact is those ppl who dont align themselves with reps but rather independents now are still going to vote right as opposed to left the vast majority of the time
Agree or disagree?
so who cares?

I care. I'm a republican - not a neoconservative. I voted repub until I realized all the BS of WMD, 911, eocnomy breaks for wealthy, fearmongering, etc.
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see the repubs run a great candidate in 2012. Not some polarizing far-right extremist. rather, someone to unite the country. Obama is a far-leaning left president. i'd love to see a moderate win.
Mccain claimed ot be a moderate - and was until 2007. THEN, after 8 years of dissing bush on economic policy, he suddenly adopted it. That wasn't a moderate move.
Run a moderate in 2012 and win. or, wait until 2016 and run a far-rightish candidate and it'll be close.
Now, no more death threats, mmmkay tony?
-
Figured I would Bump this in case 240 didn`t get to see the preview.

It wasnt a death threat nancy boy so unbunch those panties
You campaigned for a man and support a man that fear mongers on a daily basis ::)
you didnt think he was so far left leaning during the campaigns when you where campainging for him...now that he got in and added trillions to our debt, made bad move after another with private business you are against him huh? ::)

Disagree.

I find it hard to believe most would abandon their party title and still vote party line.

The idea that you think McCain turned into a conservative is silly. He is a lib.DESPISED by conservatives!!!Please name a time when the republicans ran a moderate or left leaning goof and won? They dont need to be far right,is Romney FAR RIGHT?The democrats call anyone who doesnt support partial birth abortions and Americans driving lawnmowers instead of cars as far right extremists. The republicans problem is they have allowed the left to dictate whats right wing and whats moderate.
-
youre no conservative bro ::) i have no repsect for ppl who dont say what they believe and believe what they say...
I am conservative on just about every domestic issue.
I felt the war in Iraq was a BS move for oil and bases.
I felt Bush economic plan - giving Exxon tax cuts while letting middle class shrink, and allowing many jobs to skate overseas - was a poor move. So did mccain and a lot of other repubs.
I'm anti-abortion, pro-death pentaly (ironic? lol)
Pro-gun, anti-patriot act.
Pro self defense, pro cutting welfare, pro testing welfare recipients for drgus, anti-amnesty.
I think the only thing I disagreed with Bush on was the war and his econmic policy which hooked up the rich.
Heck, I probably act and live a lot more like a conservative than many of the so-called repubs here who all voted Clinton in 92 when I was bad-mouthing him to anyone in my high school who would listen :)
But hey, you can call me a lib.
I didn't back the party hijack known as neoconservatism. neither did ron paul and a lot of other repubs.
-
In all honesty RPF i dont think ron paul would win the presidency im not saying i wouldnt like him to but he is out there on certain issues man im not saying he is wrong but i dont think he would appeal to main stream america to be honest.

Exactly 240. The rep party has yet to recognize this. They think that extreme right is the ONLY way and that this will lead them back into power. Uh news flash that's what got you OUT of power. That and you destroyed your own candidate in the elections long before Obama did.

You'd think when TOM RIDGE, who was almost the VP in 2000, says it, they would listen.
Unfortunately, you have former Clinton voters who are here telling us they know more about how to fix the Repub party than Tom Ridge.
It's baffling.

Well i honestly don't care if they fix it. I'm more left leaning anyway. i just like politics whether it's repub or dem it's enjoyable to read about. But right now it's sad how quickly they are melting down, blaming everyone else for their mistakes. Heck look how they blame McCain for losing to obama yet no one gave him jack sh*t in terms of money for his campaign, none of the right wing media stations focused on him, they just focused on how bad obama was. Giving obama more media face time.

haha yes, remember when obama could afford a 30 minute infomercial in prime time, and mccain couldn't afford airtime, even with public financing?
hell, remember obama DECLINING 85 million tax dollars, and running the campaign solely on donations?
-

haha i know! It was quite sad really. Obama just destroyed him with financing which led to more air time, which led to an election win. At it's fundamental core it's a popularity contest. Who can get to the most people and be the most popular. With some actual help from his own party McCain may have been able to put up a fight. As it stood he was basically alone and left to fend for himself. Admirable in defeat too. I personally like McCain he is a great man and a great hero. It's a shame his stance on torture and the like skewed the opinion of those who weren't half the man he is. Maybe if they spent some time in the Hanoi hotel they'd feel a little different too.

bro you defend obamas welfare of the auto industry and banking industry, his outrageous spending, closing of gitmo to bring some of the prisoners here to the US and the list goes on and on again maybe youre just throwing shit out there to stir up controversy but as i stated earlier I have no respect for a person who doesnt say what they believe and believe what they say and you certainly dont bro.
I agree on iraq
I dont agree totally on bush's economic policies, i agree the jobs going over seas is shit and should be stopped, you complain about bush giving tax cuts the rich and applaud obama for giving tax cuts to the middle class YET YOU OVER LOOK TEH FACT THAT HIS SPENDING WILL ENSLAVE THE MIDDLE CLASS FOR GENERATIONS TO COME... ::)

we can get the same intel by locking up those taleban pricks in some hole in egypt or making them wlak the plank in the arctic sea. gitmo was a dickmeasuring contest that brought harm to our troops.
yes, Bush, mccain, obama, and every other intelligent person realized the bailoluts were needed to prevet the ripples that ending the auto and banking industry would lead to. $ wouldnt matter if all the US banks failed, cause the world would dorp the buck. it's common sense. imagine a world with half the US banks failed. WTF
I'm for conservative ideals, but yeah, when a major US industry - such as the one holding all our fvcking MONEY - is about to go belly up, you have to save it. I suppose you'd be happy had they all failed and we all lost our 401ks and the world lost the buck... no, I think you just dont understand all the ramifications of letting it fail.

how did it bring harm to our troops? so you think that obama with all his transparency doing that in egypt will not harm our troops?
I dont think you understand the ramifications of bailing them out...especially with a plan that simply post pones the inevitable and enslaves the MIDDLE class ya the one that you praise your savior for cutting taxes about for generations to come.

at least 2 of the tortured men (those with their innards pulled out following the massive manhunt) were in direct retaliation for gitmo and abu ghirab - the bad guys said so.
And we can guess that thousands of jihadists were recreuited by the pics of the orange jumpsuitters on the beach.
Next time, just whisk them away, pump them from intel and let em walk the plank. That ego boost from punking the arabs publicly was bad for busienss.

I think you forgot about your guys transparency that he touted and claimed during his and your campaign? ::)
I dont buy that shit the vast majority of those ppl would have gravitated towards that path even without gitmo, pics etc and if you thought that helped recruiting you are for the showing of soldiers caskets coming home? b/c that wont help recruiting either right? ::) LOL more walk the line say one thing now and another later bullshit from you...more liberal fear mongering that youve bought into hook line and sinker.
Again no respect for a little shit who doesnt say what the believe and believe what they say ::) say what you want about me but im honest and consistent.
