I'm from Kent, England (the county that used to be the garden of England!) and we have ALOT of eastern european's here now, I mean you can literally see the demographics of my town change month by month! We also have alot of black people moving out of London and moving into huge houses in the country and getting rid of their mortgages, which unfortunately kept the local prices artificially high. Obviously not so much now with the current financial climate but towns like the one live in are changing at a phenominal rate where the local infrastructure and services simply cant keep up :-\

As individuals I have nothing against them, they seem to be very curteous in the gym (where there are often ALOT of them) and some of them are pretty strong. I do however have a problem with the politics of immigration and how it is sold in my country as some sort of magical answer to all of our problems and any discention or even opinions that are not quite the "party line" are shouted down as the persoon is obviously racist, ulltra right wing and probably a member of the SS!! Political correctness is a cancer on modern society as far as Im concerned. I would go on further but you've probably stopped reading already! ;D

That is horrible to hear. This is why countries cannot have huge state welfare systems. It attracts people that are lazy and want to loaf off the system. Why do you think these immigrants come to England/Ireland and other European countries where they have more socialist programs. Its really a shame...we should have government assistance for people that really need it, but to create a society of lazy dependents is completely unacceptible. Vince, to put it more correctly, laziness is an individual and sometimes a cultural trend, but not necessarily a racial issue. Laziness and apathy is often learned behavior.
When I was in England, most of the blacks in the city were indistinguishable from the whites as far as the way they spoke, dressed and acted. Everyone seemed to blend really well. It was the middle eastern and pakistani immigrants that didn't seem to blend as well. The problem I see is that a governmental system that takes care of everyone attracts lazy unproductive f-cks from all parts.

I really don't consider myself racist either..... but the black Africans flooding into Europe (not just England, Ireland, etc) but also France, Germany, Italy, Spain too .... has done nothing other than damage the European economies by abusing their welfare systems. The middle Eastern and Pakistani immigrants are also becoming a burden on these welfare system.

I know of many hardworking Africans here in the US. Haitians and Jamaicans as well. In fact, many come here and set up business right and left, like it was nothing, whereas it is harder for a Native born American to do so. From what I have been told, by other Africans, being sneaky and crafty, is a Nigerian cultural trait. So scamming, or being a trickster, or putting effort in getting something for nothing, is seen as prideful. Not saying all do it, but there are certain ethnic groups within Nigeria that tend to do it. So, read that again, certain "ETHNIC GROUPS" within Nigeria.

My own take on this (forgetting the rediculously biased governement part line on the subject) and I can only speak for the UK is that for some time now the government have turned a blind eye to a huge (and I really mean huge) influx of immigration at a phenominal rate. At a time when the cost of living has been rising in this country way above the average rise in wages and has been for some time the powers that be needed a source of lowly paid workers that could carry out menial work cheaper than the indigenous workforce could possibly hope to achieve. This was coincidentally goood for major businesses and public institutions (see the NHS for a good example) that could maintain a goood balance sheet that did not have to rely on ever increasing profits but rather by simply employing cheaper and cheaper labour from foreign shores. Unfortunatley, however good this has been for big business there have been huge social problems too many to write about here, not to mention my own worry ie: what what happens when all the minimum wage workers that do not have their own private pensions due to lack of funds all come to retire????????????????
This is however all my own opinion and just what i personally see what is happening to my once great country. :D :-\ :'(

One, their shouldn't be bleeding hearts that allow anybody regardless of race or ethnicity to slip under the bar, but the standard needs to be across the board, unless there is a history of unfair treatment. Mongol, that all makes sense. You guys need to have some collective reasonable voices to change government. Its important for people who oppose overwhelming social programs to be seen as caring and not racist either (as what is happening in the US). First off let me say you are incredibly stupid...maybe not racist, but without question incredibly stupid. The Nigerians who may have entered Ireland did not come because they wanted to, but had no choice given the oppression in Nigeria despite being a MAJOR OIL EXPORTER...once again examine foreign policies of america and european nations on Africa and the Middle Eastern countries and you will have your answer to why Nigerians or any other people are in Ireland or any other nations.
As with most immigrants coming to another nation they have no choice but to acclimate to the environment: eating that God forsaken McDonalds and/or asking for help in adjusting to the new nation is expected. during this whole period of waitting they are not allowed to work.they are forced to stay home cuz asylum centers are mostly located in remote areas away from cities.it means they don't mix with local community don't make friends and don't learn language which could be very helpfull in getting jobs.

Absolutely, I agree. I think one of the keys to handling illegal immigration in the US is to crack down on employers who hire illegals. I am in strong support of this. Sure, many of these employers are white. I don't care what race they are, they must follow the law and our government needs to uphold the law!
I have a lot of dissapointment in our government with the current and the last administrations. In some areas of Europe, people do complain of gypsies and low skilled eastern europeans...thats just not much of an issue in the U.S.

I've heard, not sure if it's true, that the city of Seattle gave away free bus passes to homeless people so that they can have transportation to go find jobs and go to work. Those homeless people took the "free" bus passes to go from the "free" shelter to the soup kitchen and get a "free" meal, and then spend the rest of the day on the bus just riding around killing time.

Not from my personal opinions because I never said every black bears the brunt for every other black person's wrongdoings.
For example the original poster lists Somalians and Nigerians... now the Somalians... utterly disgusting group of people whenever I have had encounters (albeit they would extremely low class immigrants). Every Nigerian on the other-hand has been a pleasure to deal with; laid back etc. that said they were nurses and a few students.

But in America there are certain political affiliations and philosophies associated with these words that are unique to the definition of the words by the rest of the world's standards.

This is hogwash. That is your own definition. It is true, however, that liberal means something different in the U.S. We also have to separate liberal economic ideas from social ideas. Liberal economic ideas definitely share certain common threads with socialism (and some elements of marxism) in that they push for a larger government with more control over the distribution of goods and services, more taxation, more gov programs & regulation, and more trust in a central government to make decisions for the people, and financially punishing the upper middle and upper class citizens.
