one thing i'm doing differently is i stopped drinkng whey protein and switched to Soy.
I try and get at least 250 grams a day between shakes and whole food
I can't say for sure if it's the Soy but I'm tighter now at the same size since i stopped whey. Maybe i'm a little lactose intolerant and i didn't even know it.
Another thing is I'm tan as shit right now and that's probably the first pic i ever posted that somewhat shows what i look like

Get back here in 3 years and you'll be able to provide an informed answer. In the meantime you're all about reducing it only to genetics because it's it fits with the defeatist attitude.

i am nowhere near contest condition. I have a flat stomach with visible abs, but to be ripped and lean I'd have to drop at least 25 lbs. probably more.
I'm just lucky in that i have always had good shape and separation to my muscles. it makes me look leaner than i am

you should dude. I have done hundreds of commercials when I worked in radio. You definitely have a great AM voice. Not so much FM. You could make a good living reading books to tape or radio infomercials. I also think your voice sounds like those hideous voice overs on the 1970's karate flicks.

still with the fucking morons here who have never trained without drugs and compare their mediocre results to others and cant fathom what is possible naturally so brand it all as drug aided.
train for 10-15 years..naturally..start at a good genetic base from doing school sports..at say, 17 years old and 175lb at 6 feet tall.
you WILL add 5-10kg in the first year..as a natural (given reasonable genetics)...then less as the years go on..but a kg per year is not impossible for a natural..and more is usual.
ive said it many times before..this natural impossibility stuff is crap to make you users feel good about yourselves.
my mates are all drug free, and some are coming to their 22nd year of training....they all played school sports and were good athletes... they are all around 6' or taller..and they all weigh over 110kg these days..in good shape..thats 240lb+.
without exception we all went over 220lb within the first 5 years of training naturally..the rest has come gradually and through effort and discipline.
the exception ive noticed is those who DONT make such gains... hard gainers basically. within these circles ive got mates that have barely put on 5kg over 20 years...but they are about 1 out of 10..the rest have done well.
so if groink claims natural..i believe him.. i weighed 125kg when i stopped training, which was about 8 years ago now...and i trained from 1989 through to about 2001..thats 12 years.. went from 75kg to 125kg. thats 50kg over 12 years...or 4 kg per year..about 10lb per year on average, but year 1 i got to 84kg..thats 20lb gain, year 2 was 90kg..so, another 15lb, it took 4 more years to get to 105kg..i.e. 33 more pounds...and so on..
my mates werent so blessed, but still did a great job and, like i said, went from 175lb somethings to 240lb+ over the same timeframe.
flame away disbelievers..for your own mediocre's sake.

you can take two guys of similar bf levels and same scale weights- one is a competitive bb'er the other a gym rat who trains regularly.
the difference in the appearance of these two individuals will be day and nite despite body weights and bf levels being the same. in fact, there is NO comparison.
so, keep thinking your bf levels and scales weights are a good indicators of a quality physique, while those who build them have a good laugh at your expense.

a guy who would compete at 200lbs is going to be massive in the offseason... 275+

of course theres no rule for offseaosn wiehgt compared to contest weight... depends on how lean you start out at , how much muscle you lose while dieting, and how ripped you get. but for the most part people tend to way overestimte how hevay they will be once dieted down. i know a guy who weghs 250 offseason and competes at 225... but he stays really lean all year long... and yet another who weighs 280 in the offseason but competes at 200ish...cuz he gets chunky in the offseason

Darrell Terrell... 250 in the first one(2 weeks into dieting), under 200 in the second... and there's no shadowy lighting here either... if he was put in the same lighting as that grey tank top pic he would look plain freaky.

dont be fooled about water content though guys. Steroids suck in loads of water and naturals dont have to contend with this...
im sure we know users who went through their water depletion phases prior to local/national shows who went to bed weighing 15 lb+ more than they woke up- and went to the toilet half a dozen times for 2-3 minute stand up pisses...
So that's 15 lb extra BW that users have over naturals. it equates to lots of size also...but it aint tissue.

Competitors I've known over the years have stayed within 20-25lbs of their contest weight...this 50-75lbs weight gain in offseason is only a small number of folks. Once again, it's all about genetics coupled with drug response.....diet and training are merely secondary if the first are strong. If genetics and drug response are weak no amount of diet and training will compensate.

If a Getbig member has been here for a year to two years, talks smack, talks training, talks BB in general and refuses to post a pic due to any of the now ultra-cliche "why I can't/won't/don't post a pic" excuses then it's never going to happen....period. Can't say why with any certainty, but can only speculate. What I do know is that you have those very RARE folks that may finally post a pic after years of posting and shock you a bit (in a good way)....that class of Getbig poster is truly rare though.

He's not better than mesomorph, myself or some others, and has no legs. No legs = one dimensional in my book. It's a lot easier to just work the show muscles while constantly patting yourself on the back about yourself, which is what oink is all about.
