The cameraman unfairly baits this protester. The fact that he's not a taxpayer in no way compromises his position.
The lack of objectivity from the reporter, however, does undermine his.
He clearly put words into the protester's mouth when he introduced race into the conversation.

"So, you don't like black people?" when the protester has said nothing of the sort is definitely an attempt to bait him.
I listened to the guy's response and have no idea where the race-related follow-up came from. The reporter made no attempts to even be cautious about it...just blatantly accused the guy of being a racist.

The fact that he's not a taxpayer doesn't just compromise is position, ...it completely illegitimizes it.
The blogger didn't put word in his mouth, ...he simply loosened his tongue. There's a big difference.

Even though he's not currently paying any income tax, he did at one time. I'm led to believe he also served time in the military. He does pay tax on everything he uses, though, and many of those taxes on things like communication and fuel are federal taxes.
He absolutely has a right to speak on the issues that are important to him, even if he's not directly responsible for paying the costs anymore. He's there to protest, because his children and grandchildren are at work, and he wants them to be able to keep as much of their earnings as possible.

Not trying to play you, ...but seeds can only grow in fertile soil. He loosened his tongue and he spoke what was on his mind, and revealed, not only the hypocrisy of his position, but the subtle racism behind it.
He goes from reparations right to there's no free lunch and people don't want to pay for what they get, ...while at the same time acknowledging that he is a recipient of benefits, he did not pay for.

Now, if his ultimate wish were to come true, then yes, he'd lose his benefits, so it would be up to his family (more than likely) to support and care for him. And if they've got more money in their pockets because of a drastic reduction in entitlement spending, then they'd be better able to provide for him.

The social safety net is there not so much for the safety & security of the helpless or have nots in society,
...it's there for the safety & security of those who have worked hard, ...so they don't find the fruits of their labour at risk by those who were not as productive. A hungry man who gets a welfare cheque is able to buy groceries. He's not breaking into my home, stealing my stuff, so he can pawn it to buy a meal. It's the same reason universal healthcare is so necessary. It curbs the spread of communicable diseases that could decimate a society. We all breathe the same air.

TA is a guy who by your assessment has no clue what the average guy has to do to put food on the table,
...yet he appears to have more compassion for, ...and more understanding of the average guys needs than you.
You on the other hand fail to comprehend the need for affordable health care, and true coverage that doesn't disappear the moment you need it. You fail to comprehend the need for a healthcare system that doesn't wipe a person or his decades of hard work out over an illness. I ask again, if TA is a dunce, ...what does that make you?

Old people receiving free healthcare... complaining because they don't want young people to have the exact same program?
Even if these old folks never worked a day in their life, they get hooked up. That's not fair. I'd say we cut the fat. knock these old folks off medicare if they didn't work for it.
