As far as the European scene goes for Death Metal no one will probably ever touch Bolt Thrower or the early stuff from the Stockholm bands. Necrophagist are great if you like the techy stuff.
Dethklok is the best death metal band of all time. And they don't even exist.
No-one's ever impressed with my cool story that my band Phallicide supported and met Vader hah. But we did :D They were super tight, made us look like kids, which we were. Vae Solis and Centurion supported too.
My mate's in Onslaught, who played recently with Behemoth, apparently they are nice guys. I liked them when they supported Nile on the Black Seeds tour, awesome thrashy style with windmill hair. Although one of many bands that draws so much from Slayer it's untrue. Vader do too actually.
I also agree with Lats McGee that the Stockholm bands from the early 90s are hard to beat. They sound kind of derivative now, even though they started it all, but At The Gates, In Flames etc are all awesome! Interesting how Unearth et al now fuse big melodic bits into their scene-core image. Bodom are cool too. I thought of Alexi Laiho when someone said in the "11 year old" thread about "playing to rooms full of men, marrying an Asian chick who's stuck in the 90s and getting a signature pick up" hahahaha. His wife is a big Asian 90s- looking beast of a woman! He is great though.
I also have a soft spot for all the power metal sh!t like Lost Horizon, Hammerfall etc. Lost Horizon in particular look like they subscribe to the Manowar/Kane Roberts from Alice Cooper bodybuilding-metal image haha.
Outed as what...someone who cant stand the sound of the monster truck announcer trying to "sing"??

dont know vader too much...but im a lot into Behemoth for the last months...Their last 2 albums are killers, and the new one seems to be incredible judging by the single they released...try Vader - pm me and I hook you up with some links before you make your mind up to buy them - its not my favourite band but one of the Top 5 for sure.
Nergal is really a great frontman (while his death grow is not my favorite) and Inferno is really developing as one (if not THE) best drummer of the style on the planet. Speed he has always had but he is getting a lot more creative and experimental with his grooves and use of symbols
Hey Chick, probably the millionth time you've heard this, but I saw 'I Love You Man' at the weekend, I thought the bit with you in was cool, good to see a bodybuilder get in a major film like that. I attempted to impress my girlfriend by saying we argue with the same morons on the same stupid board hahaha, don't know if she thought I was cool or not haha, any more film parts lined up?
"if you don't like this music youare pretty much outedprobably didn't wet the bed until you were sixteen"

Umm - At The Gates and In Flames are Gothenburg scene. Stockholm is Grave, Dismember, Entombed, Unleashed. So much for your metal cred.
Oh yeah, my bad, got excited when I thought about In Flmaes and At The Gates and typed as fast as i could! Haha Still know more about metal first hand than you mate.
mate sorry... the stroke Bob dick thread is that way -------->
;D

I've seen them in Dublin (2 years ago I believe) and they are very good live as well - if you can go see them.

Are you the scary roundish fella?

"Eyebrows" on the right looks like the type that steals women's underwear and kills small animals.
You really don't belong in this thread blah, blah, blah....
I know. I've actually had sex with a women (Twice!).
ROFLMAO! That is the best band name ever 8) Love how they went the extra mile in the drawing of their initials. Thank god they put the lyrics on there though bcuz you can't make out a single word of it. I love heavy music but I can't stand the screaming/ groaning thing that the bands these days are doing. It absolutely ruins what could have been a great song.

Yeah haha, can't believe how whack we all look, what's with the Hawaian shirt?
Haha, way to find that pic, that's about 7 years old. Nah, reluctant to say which one I am cos you lot will rip me apart haha! We're all like 17 there, when we recorded our 2nd sh!tty demo, "Forged of the Sacred Steel"! We got offered to support Arch Enemy before they were as big as they are now, but our drummer went to Uni and it all went tits up. Supporting Dragonforce was the other highlight, they were obviously also much smaller then too.
2 of the other guys are now in a band called Shadowlaw who are doing alright I think, done a few European tours anyway. Kind of power metal meets hardcore, unsurprisingly they call themselves "powercore". Not bad, although I find all the cap-wearing scene-ness of hardcore a bit stupid and sh!t. Wheras the epic and shameless imagery of Power Metal is awesome, never had the balls to actually grow my hair though.
You in a band?
"Her Rancid Breath" - Like the music, but never much cared for the growling vocal thing.Me neither. The mark of a great metal band is a great vocalist. Anyone can do that growling shit.
I'm bored, I Googled, sue me.

The Black Dahlia Murder blows me away everytime I've seen them.

This music fits Stark's personality quite well

As a holder of a "Mirage Hotel Gold Card", should you really be commenting in any thread with the word "outed" in the title?
Spent yesterday aft revisiting The Kink's 'Something Else.' Musta listened to it 3x. Really well crafted album from a now sorta neglected band. That's my music recommendation for today: dig into your collection and give The Kink's some serious listening. :)
/gonna listen to 'face to face' today
