Muscle CEO is an educational website....and I will educate all the haters, Sucker MC's, and jive turkeys.  I told Aaron Singerman about it a few weeks ago but I couldn't make the official annoucment until I aquired the domain name and bought the website system.

That's awesome.  My website is over 100K also.

I would like to get it up to ONE MILLION.  If nothing more than just for personal satisfaction.  There is more money in other things I do, most recently, real estate in town [property is low, rent is high].  I would really like to get it up to that level though.  I hope that is possible eventually.

Roughly it breaks down to me taking home about 20k total,  15k to invest back into the business and the rest goes to vendors and business expenses.  Better than last year at least.

That's great stuff Vince.  I was complacent with my website for the past few years because it was so hard to see the cause-and-effect of the work I put into it.  Sometimes with google indexing it would take months before the content I uploaded actually paid off.  As a result I let it sit there for many months on end more than once.  Now I want to get it to go back and fix all the errors on my website which have accumulated over years of that sort of neglect.  I think my website has more potential.  Honestly, seeing Cutler turn things around this year really made me wonder how much potential there is in anything that is not tapped.  I know that may seem like an odd example but I think it makes sense.

At that time I had the full line of Genesis supplements but my money making product was the Turbobell 5-60lb Dumbbell Set in which I was one of the original distributors for when they first came out.  Was selling about 100 of them a month at its peak.  If you put Turbobell in Google, my website will most likely come up.  I still carry them but I only sell about 5 sets nowadays since there are more vendors for them.

Chuckle...Mobile homes are a lot nicer than most people think.  I paid over 700 a month for my 2 bedroom apt next the lake in Greenville and now I have more space for half the cost and no traffic whizzing outside.

I disagree.  He can start spending money when he makes a million, at which point bank interest alone will give him a 30K per year salary.

Actually..if you have money and can actually qualify for a loan..NOW is the time as houses are going so cheap.  Those 5yr ARMS are coming due and foreclosures are going to be a plenty very soon.

Its no good to buy a house with negative or baseline equity.  I would consider a home once it goes back up to where it worth it.  Modular homes are the way to go actually right now

Chuckle.....I have only had 2 returns on them and 4 sets damaged over the past three years.  The 4 sets damaged were due to delivery damage and as a result, I now ship them via FED-EX. I would say that its a good percentage considering the amount of sets I've sold and for the price of 289 dollars for 2 60lb adjustable dumbell sets and stand with free shipping, you simply can't beat the deal.

They are constructed with real steel weight plates not cement and with high impact ABS casings (Same stuff used on airplanes).  They are built to last a lifetime.

You are correct that they are the cheapest set of adjustable dumbbells out there.  But that's because they're not on TV all the time like Bowflex and don't do any advertising.  Its not because they are constructed poorly

sometimes a ''good deal'' isn't always a good deal...what is the stand made of? are they expandable? cheap plastic locking mechanisms look flimsy and will probably degrade and break over time...i'm not sure what dumbbells you are talking about but the ones i've looked at were all made of steel and not cement...you can spend the extra money and get a good set of poweblocks or ironmasters...

A lot of em make fraudulent copies. Best deal I've gotten so far is 12 dollars a set for a lot of 50.  So its about 600 dollars with a minimum threshold of 12 if I sold them for 50 bucks a pop.  Its not a bad deal in the scheme of things.

China is a great place to get stuff like the Turbobells fro Shenzan Province but if you're not careful you can really get ripped off.  The worst is the clothing and shoes because you can't even tell the difference since they are all made in the same country

Minimum threshold??  Your cost aka bottom line is 12 dollars....you are using a cost-plus pricing principle.  In any even an initial investment of $600 to make $2500 is not bad.  Problem with cost-plus is it doesnt factor in time to sell, depreciating cost of investment, outside costs to sell product (web sites, shipping), etc.

I've already make a purchase and I'm just waiting for it to arrive.  The only thing I need to do is to put it in both my caliberfitness.com and gxfitnesscenter.com stores and let the site take over from there.

And people wonder why I tell them that dropshipping isn't the best thing to do....... ;D.  They don't realize how much money can be made buying bulk supplies

this has got to be a joke.

20k per year based on 100k hits...

thats once sale every 5 hits (this is unheard of in ecommerce).

now, what inventory do you need to carry to be able to supply items?- $100k worth?, more?

depreciation on that will cost you big time... from the $20k you get, you have to pay tax on that, and duties, and expenses. I cant see how you would net $15k per annum.

i had an ebusiness and we'd get 500,000 hits per year and ppl were buying stuff like hotcakes.

the problem was that it was alot of work and was by no means part time. and it never is to earn a reasonable return.

i call complete naivety. and im sure you'll retort. but you'll remember my post later when you realise it.

You failed most likely because your overhead was so high that you simply could not afford to run your business.  In addition, while you may have gotten 500,000 hits a year its pretty clear that your traffic was not targeted because you failed to properly use search engine optimization which gives you the visitors that are looking to buy the item that you're selling.

Of course my most powerful asset that I use for my business is called the telephone.  A lot of e businesses simply fail to call people with questions back.  I make sure I answer all calls that come in ASAP and when you do that, it tells the customer that you're on your game and that you mean business which translate into business for you.  I also do follow ups on customers as well to make sure that they are satisfied with their purchase and that gives you customer retention.

Hope that helps..... ;D

Don't worry, its not the only place I have to lay my head..... ;D  I used to work for Homegold Financial in the Real Estate business so I know when to buy and right now it isn't the time to buy a residential home.  I'm actually working on purchasing business property and I can't do that if I'm paying on a high mortage

What??? Now is the best time to buy a house, the realesate market is still at rock bottom, interest rates are still low, you wait another year or two and it will be a bad time, if you're a first time buyer you could have cashed in on the $8,000 government tax credit too, I think they ended it though.

no offense dude, but you admitted your sad income here.  bragging about making 6k last year?

Last year, I lost money due to the changes from Ebay in which they increased and manipulated fees along with running ads from Buy.com in search results and promoting them over other company.  Basically I was spending 300 dollars a week in ads that was producing practically nothing.  Guy Grundy suffered the same fate with fitnetusa I did however I got hit much harder because I had over 150 products while Guy only had about 10 so he didn't get messed up that bad.  A lot of people got screwed.  Rather than getting a bank loan, I went out and got a job unloading trucks and cleared the business debt in about 4 months.

This year I cut expenses, got rid of services I didn't need, and brought Vitabase, Native Remedies, & Body Solid's line of products along with building other specialty sites like GX Security and GX Books & Software moving outside the realm of fitness.  Even though my sales revenue was much smaller, I actually increased the amount of money I collect per product I sold.  Best of all, January is coming and I think I'll do pretty well.

You may think its sad but I don't.  Having one bad year in the 9 years I've been running Caliber Fitness isn't too bad.  Better than going out of business that's for sure

Doesn't matter.  With the current interest rates, that 8k would have been like pissing in the wind and most the loans approved right now are adjusted rates which I definitely would away from.  I worked in real estate for Homegold Financial back in the day so when the time is right, I'll look into property.  For now, I'll play it cool

Are you kidding?  Residential real estate prices are as low as you're going to find them right now, and inflation and interest rates are very low as well.  This is exactly the time to buy.

But then being the astute businessman you are, Vince, I'm sure you prefer to pay much more in both purchase price and the cost of financing.   ::)

let me break this down for you:

-homes have depreciated below what they were originally purchased for.
-interests rates for 30 year fixed are still hovering around 5%
-first time home buyers are (or were) eligible for a $8k tax break if they bought a home this year.

RIGHT NOW IS THE BEST TIME TO BUY, KEEP WAITING AND INTEREST RATES WILL CLIMB (A FACT), AND AS THE REALESTATE MARKET REBOUNDS HOME RICES WILL INCREASE (A FACT).

I don't care who you worked for, you don't know what you're talking about dude.

I just bought a new house two months ago and put my other up for rent because I knew I would never get a price this low again and an interest rate this low, I got a 30 year fixed at 4.25%, renting my other house took 3 days, once the market recovers I will sell it.

If you want to invest in property...fine.  I simply think that any tax credits or benefits will negate themselves and property prices in my area simply don't equal the actual value.  Maybe in your neck of the woods it may be different but I'm not going to sign into a mortgage for a house with negative equity.

I have no idea what you're talking about, houses are at their lowest value EVER right now, they can only go up from here, this is everywhere in the USA.

This is true.  I also imagine that rent is as high as it's ever been.  Real estate is a sound investment right now.  Where I live property values were also low and slumlording is very profitable.

What I'm talking about is that most houses around my area here are for sale for higher prices than the actual property value.  Why spend 200k for a house that's worth 150k????

Real estate prices varies from area to area so if the properties in your area are worthy of purchase, then consider it.  As for now, I'm going to look into business property instead because I plan to open up my PT studio.

I made a lot of money working for Homegold in real estate so I know the potential of investments.  However, in this area there's no real deals to be found and I'm currently not interested in buying another place right now

PLEASE tell us how you buy a house with negative equity.  AS IM was saying...now looks to be the time to buy.  So many foreclosures out there (and more to come with those tempting 5yr ARM's that people got sucked into) that you can work a bad ass deal with a bank just to get them.  First time buyers are getting some pretty good deals.  Your "I used to work" claim doesnt hold up.

Only a complete idiot would buy a house for more than its worth.  No one does that...nor would a bank lend money for you to do that.  Please tell me you weren't one of those guys who went around writing loans for people but didnt understand 50% of what those contracts actually were saying....but didnt care because your commission was so good.

I worked for Homegold Financial...you know exactly what we did and I'm not proud of the fact that I helped contribute to the mortgage crisis.  I only worked there until the place collapsed with Carolina Investors.  We refinanced people's property with  home equity loans giving people 13%-17% adjustable rates.  Then once they couldn't pay it, we would quickly foreclose the property.

Simple.  Get a shady appraiser that over values the property then have it written up by a outside bank or investment firm.  Most banks will only look at the appraisal record and not examine the property by their appraisers and approve the loan.  Once the person tries to refinance the loan again, the bank then sends out a person who checks out the property and realizes that they got screwed.  Property goes into foreclosure as a result and the bank takes ahold of property thats worth less than what they financed it for.

That's why the mortgage crisis is so big.

I have bought a few houses in my time, and I can tell you that it is VERY difficult to get approved for a mortgage these days, the government has implemented a lot of extra "red tape", and the standards have risen considerably.

it's pretty difficult these days to overestimate a property's value, this was a bit easier a couple of years ago before the mortgage meltdown, but now banks are extremely  picky about everything, and alegit appraisal comes from comps (those are houses that have sold similar to yours in the area), so if the property is being overvalued the bank will see this, also many banks are only allowing THEIR appraisers to perform them, again another checkpoint to avoid the crap that happened in the past.

Vince, you are obviously WAAAAY out of date on the real estate and mortgage business, it has changed 100% in the past  year, you just cannot do shady shit anymore, the federal government has put many regulations into effect since they took over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

If this is the case, then there will be fewers buyers. In addition, when the Fed eventually raises rates, loans will be more expensive. That too will decrease buyers. Throw in that unemployment is at thirty year highs, and it stands to reason your claim that there's never been a better time to buy a house is considerably less than a sure thing.

technically he s not "lying" he really believes in what he says, the only problem is that it doesnt exists. Mental case.

10000000000000000% TRUE.  That is why I rag on him the most.  He is truly dangerous to others cause people who don't know him might believe his bullshit and end up getting hurt.  And what the fuck does he have that you could get in a lawsuit.    People like Johnny Falcon who is crazy as hell at least looks good and he is not hurting anyone else.  Goodrum is a menace shouldn't be around others peddling his bullshit.

Melvin is a kept house husband and that is his lifestyle. Gets up when he wants, watches the soap operas and doesn't have to work. The dude must be on welfare because his businesses return nothing after expenses are paid.Only a fool would continue to do the same things and expect a different outcome. It is always going to be better soon, right, Melvin? What a dreamer. Can't wait for his personal training studio to open.

I've not wasted 70 years of my crying over what I should have done.  The only thing left in your life is a fat girl and tons of comtempt and regret for not getting in the "inner circle" of Arnold.  You talk all of this stuff about how you won the Mr Canada but fail to talk about your final contest where you placed dead last out of 12 people.

You complain about the use of steroids in the industry...yet you used them
You complain about Bob Chick....but he's still a greater bodybuilder than you ever will be
You complain about me posting your pictures....yet you filmed Lee Priest's grandfather's funeral.

You call my hotel room twice ranting and begging me to come to your gym.  Sorry Mr Basile, you won't be getting any dark meat from this bone.  Find someone else to play with, preferably someone that doesn't play with Fisher Price and listens to Aaron Carter CD's

Your life is filled with hypocrisy, Basile and in your final years on Earth you should spend more time enjoying life rather than arguing your case on Getbig for all things.  Nobody around here likes you and the people under 16 that post here are scared of you for obvious reasons

Goodrum you have to admit Vince has accomplished way more than you ever will in bodybuilding and the health and fitness industry.  You only talk about shit and disguise yourself with fake credentials which mean nothing to people who know anything about the industry.  That is why you are dangerous to people.  You peddle bullshit to people who don't know any better.

How come you don't have a link to Getbig on your website or bb.com or any other website that talks about you.  What are you afraid of?  There is not one respectable gym in this country that would allow you to be a trainer.  Not one.

If I run a business that sells nutritional supplements, why would I link it to a competitor site such as BB.com,  you retard...... ::)

Seriously Keith, you of all people have some business to talk.  Weighing over 500 pounds and operating a gym franchise or whatever you call it.  As far as we know, you don't have a college education and your only claim to fame was being in the movie Over the Top and a Gillette commerical.

But look at you know at this point in your life.  If I was in your place, I would feel embarrassed about the way you look

Yea good cop-out.  And bb.com is NOT a competitor of yours.  In fact I bet you have NO competitors.   I am thinking maybe you are a white guy just full of so much shit you look black.  You are the posterboy for "Loser", your ignorance is known throughout the internet and you are afraid potential clients will find out.  You are a fake and scumbag.  You reek of bullshit and in the real world you are a HUGE joke.  You are just too stupid to realize it.

Tank note of this Vince, Goatboys Mother has a nice house, BMW and a Jeep. She must have passed on some knowlodge to him.

Take note of this.  There's no way you can know what someone has when you don't know who they are.  ....... ::)
