the floyd will say "didn't take this fight seriously and I almost beat him anyway"

Mayweather is going to own him

Gonna be a damn good fight whichever way you look at it.

Mayweather is going to own him
::)

Both fighters are on the verge of greatness. I think this will be the bout that decides it. I know mayweather is a great boxer, but pacquiao is a warrior. The only time I've seen mayweather try was aganst hatton. Otherwise his whole style is chump. He never goes for the finish, just candy dances to a points victory. I can't stand that type of fighter.
-
::)
lets make a bet
-
Pacman by KO within 7 rounds... yeah i said it, lil n*gga never been hit or fight anyone like this all time great...
-
Manny is gonna hit this guy. Mayweather can't take a punch. Let alone alot of them. One major stipulation has to be the weight issue. It was BS what Mayweather did with the Marquez fight. Then not saying his weight at fight night. The rule should be Mayweather has to weight 145 or the fights not happening.
lmao..has he ever lost...how does anyone know if he can take a punch..he dosent get punched..

Critics all say Morales, Barerra, Oscar, Hatton, and Cotto were all past their primes allowing Manny the easy victories. Say what you want about Pacquiao. But in this Chefs eyes he's dangerous. He has punching power with both hands. Unmatched speed and hits from all angles. Mayweather has never been hit. Corrales hit him once. Thats it. Manny is gonna hit him alot of times. When Manny wins he will be remembered as one of the greats and will go on to be a political leader in his country. Mayweather on the other hand? He's gonna be just like every other fighter. He's gonna turn into a Holyfield, a Roy Jones, an Iron Mike. Mayweather will loose all of his star power and be just another opponent just like all the semi-superstars in which he is. Manny is gonna exploit this guy. The fight will not go the distance. Manny by TKO. This will be the second time we'll see floyd get knocked down. (he was knocked down in the Judah fight but they didn't call it) And this will definitely be the first time he will get his face busted up. After the fight Manny is gonna go perform a ten song concert.
agree with all this^^^mayweather will be exposed in this fight....I got pacman by 10th rd KO....& I already got $100 on it so ill just stick with I told you so to all the GB'ers that pick floyd...
-
depends at what weight they make the fight
if the pacman has to keep coming up he will reach a weight where his power is ineffective

Floyd by a landslide, he will make Pacman look like hes off balance, whilst he dishes out a boxing lesson, love him or hate him anyone who knows anything about boxing will tell you, you cant deny him or how good he is. Manny has as much chance of beating Mayweather as anyone who thinks he can win has knowledge about boxing NONE. Good to see the little guy bringing out the hype heads but thats all it is hype, Mannys entertaining Floyd in comparsion isnt, Manny pulls the masses with the hype, but you wont find to many people other than Roach and Arum, Mannys trainer and promoter who know a thing or two about boxing that give Manny much of a chance, hes a gutsy little guy but hes getting beat up. The same people picking Manny would have been picking Corrales years ago and Floyd schooled him, dropped him so many times it became cruel, wont be that way with Pacman, he hasnt got Diegos chin and heart, when he goes down it will be for the count, and he wont win a round on his way to the canvas.Flame on ;D

From preschool to college...! Floyd has too much slickness for Manny. He marches forward with little defense, Floyd's gloves will damn near be flattened with all the leather he puts on Manny's face. Boxing wise, Manny is perfect for Floyd's offense. Floyd may not knock him out but he will be the clear cut winner at the end.
-
Floyd was scared to fight Cotto and is scared of Mosely...Manny fights everyone and gets better....
Filipino > Negro ..

Sorry but you can't compare Corrales with Pacquiao ,they aren't in the same league .
This fight will go 12 rounds, Mayweather will win a decision (maybe split).
Mark my words ,this is coming from a Golden Gloves champion w/ 40-5-5 record.

The fight should take place at 147...the championship weight. When Floyd has moved up in weight he never ever demanded a catchweight. He even fought Oscar at 154.
To say he can't take a punch is verging on ridiculous, considering he's NEVER been knocked down, let alone hurt. Unless you know something we don't brother?
-
this is coming from a Golden Gloves champion w/ 30-5-5 record.
just had to throw that in there didnt ya....like that validates your pick or something?there are pro fighters that have gone on record & picked pacman & plenty that have picked floyd....What does any of there picks mean?nothing....just like yours....

All you Pacman fans, pm me to put your money where your mouth is...

His glove touched the canvas against Judah. The ref didn't call it? Roger Mayweather. Floyds trainer entered the ring challenging Judah. Floyd didn't get DQ'd? That entire fight was a joke. Name any fight where Floyd has been hit? Manny is going to hit him. Manny is going to hit him alot!
I've seen the fight.
....so his glove touched the ground, at best this equates to a flash knock down, right?
YOU said "Mayweather can't take a punch" ....because of a flash knock down...talk about clutching at straws.
In discussions like this bro, it's important to remain objective. You also acknowledge that Floyd doesnt get hit....yet you believe he can't take a punch?
You're smoking crack. ::)
-
Floyd was scared to fight Cotto and is scared of Mosely...Manny fights everyone and gets better....
Filipino > Negro ..
Serious question...do u really think Mayweather is scared of those two?
I don't believe he's scared of anyone.
When he was at 130, he fought a monster in Diego Corrales, who was a freak at 5'11, almost 6'0". At the time Corrales was an undefeated fighter, 33-0, with 29 knock outs. Corrales was the betting favourite by a mile. Mayweather gave him a boxing lesson, and stopped him in 10.
When Mayweather was at 130 he was forever calling Shane out when Shane was at 135.
It just perplexes me that you can say one fighter is SCARED of another.,,,fighters do not have that mindset.

I fear this will be a 12-round snoozer because of Mayweather’s unwillingness to mix it up; but a win is a win. Pacquiao will have to do something really special to win, I think.
-
Mayweather by decision.
Too much skill and not stupid enough to go str8 ahead at Pacquiao. Also, take into account that Mayweather is going to be the first fighter Pacquiao has fought since he began his dominance that is actually faster than him.
I'm not rooting for either fighter to win-- I'm just happy that a legitimate, legendary, battle of two of the greatest of all time type fight is going to happen in my life when I'm old enough to appreciate it. I would order this fight if they charged 100 dollars.

Basically all the negros are picking Mayweather and asians picking Pacquiao. Interesting!

Not saying Mayweather cannot beat Manny. He can. But this will no doubt be the toughest fight of his career. Manny is a wrecking machine. Watch the Mayweather/Hatton fight. Hatton was winning. Mayweather warms up by round 8. Manny is on fire come opening bell and just gets better. I just never thought Mayweather was one of the greats. Judah, Baldomere, Gatti, Oscar, Hatton, Marquez. This guy has never fought anyone close to the caliber of Manny Pacquiao. I say Manny by TKO. Picture Mayweather looking like this. Mayweather is going to get hit.
Yep it sure will be a tough fight...don't take my praise for Floyd as me trashing Manny, I love Manny he's amazing.
It's all well and good saying that he hasn't fought anyone close to the calibre of Manny - true.....but he does have experience of fighting fast southpaws.
Has Manny ever fought anyone EVEN close to Floyd? Hell no.
It's obvious u dnt like Floyd, but please don't let ur dislike for him, blind u to the skills he has.
...oh and HATTON was NOT winning, c'mon bro, ur losing credibility.

Could penis size determine the outcome of the fight? If so, who would win?

Outed!

And Oscar didn't win the first 6 rounds against Mayweather? And Judah didn't win the first 5 rounds against Mayweather? Mayweather has just been promoted correctly. Why did he fight Marquez and not a legit Welter? Promotion to fight Manny. Why did he come in way over the weight limit? Unfair advantage. More or less cheating??? Now should Mayweather be seriously penalized if he doesn't make weight against Manny? It's not that I don't like Floyd. I just don't see him as one of the greatest.
Chef , if Floyd beats Manny in a boring fight ,would you consider Floyd as one of the greatest ?

It seems because Manny is running for congress in May 10, that they will have the fight in March 13. AWESOME!!!!!!!
-
mayweather is going to win a unanimous decision.
like him or hate him, he is the best and fastest boxer, with great defensive skills- so hard to hit with a clean punch.
yes, manny is fast and has KO power and hits from unorthodox angles but mayweather will give him a boxing lesson.
-

Is it any different than when Blacks fight Mexicans? You must be new to boxing. :D

very good point...and something I can see mayweather trying to pull in this fight....In MMA if you don't make weight your opponent gets 20% of your purse....since Floyd is all about the money I imagine that would deter him from purposely not making weight to seek an advantage.....However I'm sure him & his camp would not agree with a stipulation like that.....
It will be interesting to see the weight they fight at & if Floyd abides by that....No one remembers if a guy made weight as much as they remember who won the fight....I can definitely see Floyd seeking an unfair advantage in this regard...
-

Floyd did lose some of the earlier rounds to Hatton, Zab and Oscar. But are you so foolish that you can't see that he often gives away rounds in the start of a fight, to feel out his opponent? Again you're taking shots at Mayweather's credibility with little thought to what you're actually saying.
Yes you're right, he obviously fought Marquez in anticipation for a showdown with Manny - nuttin wrong with that.
I highly doubt that a Mayweather v Pacquiao showdown will take place at anything other than the official welterweight limit.
I understand why Manny wanted to secure every advantage possible against Cotto - BUT now he is a champion, I think it would be silly of him to insist on defending his title in a particular division, but refuse to fight at the said weight division limit.
-
Floyd wins comfortable UD

Think with your head and not with your heart. Am I missing something? Isn't one of Mannys main strategies to pile up 10-8 rounds at the beginning of every single one of his fights? Or am I watching some other Filipino? Am I the one thats not seeing things correctly here? Hey I've been called asshole many times in life but never moron. I'm betting with my head here. Don't underestimate this Manny Pacquiao. This guy is dangerous! It won't suprise me if Mayweather beats him. But I do believe Manny is gonna take the TKO victory then retire.

Pacquiao may win--- but c'mon dude
A TKO over Mayweather?
He may catch him with a knock out blow or eek out a decision, but Floyd is way too skilled, way too conditioned and way too fast to get TKO'd.
-

I'm not much of a boxing fan. But, where exactly is the honor in intentionally getting punched in the mouth?
The object of boxing (unless I'm mistaken) is to KNOCK OUT your opponent, while avoiding the same fate yourself.
-
when people say mayweather is faster, i just don't see it. pacquiao has what I consider unmatched handspeed and by far the most innate ability to punch hard from strange angles and incredibly quick feet. Mayweather will have his hands full, he could avoid De la Hoya and out box him, but he won't be able to avoid Pacman for 12 rounds without being forced to open up, which means he will be getting hit and hit hard.
Freddie Roach is an incredible trainer and simply will make sure Manny is properly trained for this fight. Manny wins by UD or late round stoppage.
I don't like Mayweather, but before Pacquiao emerged the past few years I did have him atop my P4P list. He is an excellent boxer, but he's never been in there with someone like Pacquaio and everyone here knows it, and we all know Pacquiao is dangerous.
I cannot wait!
-
I can't wait to bump this thread after PBF wins easily. ;D
-
I can't wait to bump this thread after PBF wins easily. ;D
X2
Name one guy Manny has fought that has anywhere near the defensive skills of PBF. he is going to school that little Filipino bastard, and then bang his wife in the ass right in the ring
-
i am a boxing fan, and this will help boxing and make tons of money for both fighters and camps, that being said however boxing is on a downward spiral some true great heavyweights have to step up. don't these basketball players and football players know they can make more money in one night than they could for their whole seasons, think about that shaq, rey lewis and countless others. i'm starting to sound like bob hoffman when he complained that all the great potential weightlifters are opting for other sports.

to the guys on either side of the argument that is saying this guy never fought no one like Floyd.
Or this guy never fought no one like Pacman......Both of these resumes are equal In strength..and both are equally impressive...... the reason why nether has fought someone like each other is because there is no one!they are the two best fighters in the world!....

to the guys on either side of the argument that is saying this guy never fought no one like Floyd.
Or this guy never fought no one like Pacman......Both of these resumes are equal In strength..and both are equally impressive...... the reason why nether has fought someone like each other is because there is no one!they are the two best fighters in the world!....
Good post Jamie....I'm not shitting on Pacman at all, he's a great fighter.
I'm going with Mayweather because i think he can outbox Pacman and win a decision.
That being said....I wouldn't be shocked if manny just kicks the shit out of him.
they are both great

LAS VEGAS (AP)—Promoter Bob Arum flew Wednesday to the Philippines with a proposed contract for a March 13 fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr.
The contract was agreed to by Mayweather’s representatives, but the boxer has yet to sign. Arum was to present the proposal to Pacquiao, but there are no guarantees he will agree.
Still, the fact Arum would make the trip to the Philippines to try and get his fighter to sign for the bout was an indication that the megafight was moving forward. It would match the two fighters regarded as the best pound-for-pound in the world in a bout at 66.7 kilograms (147 pounds).
The fight was originally projected for May, but Pacquiao’s candidacy for Congress in the Philippines forced promoters to move it forward to March. The Philippine national elections are in May, and Pacquiao wanted to be at home to campaign.
Promoters for both fighters had agreed to a blackout on negotiations for the bout, so no one would comment on the record. A person close to the promotion spoke on terms his identity would remain confidential.
If the fight is made, there would likely be a Jan. 11 press conference in New York to announce it. The bout could be the richest ever, assuming pay-per-view projections are accurate.
Representatives of the Superdome in New Orleans and the new Dallas Cowboys’ stadium have expressed interest in hosting the fight, as has the MGM Grand hotel-casino in Las Vegas, where the fighters have fought their biggest fights. There is also a proposal for a 30,000-seat temporary stadium on the Las Vegas Strip across from the Wynn resort.
Oddsmakers are already taking bets on the fight, with most making the undefeated Mayweather a slight favorite.
