HONOLULU -- Conservative radio talk host Rush Limbaugh was rushed to a Honolulu hospital on Wednesday afternoon with chest pains, sources told KITV.
Paramedics responded to the call at 2:41 p.m. at the Kahala Hotel and Resort.
Limbaugh suffered from chest pains, sources said. Paramedics treated him and took him to Queen's Medical Center in serious condition.
He was seen golfing at Waialae Country Club earlier this week. The country club is next to the Kahala Hotel and Resort.
The radio show host had been in the islands during the holidays. Coincidentally, his visit comes at a time when two of the nation's most powerful Democrats, President Barack Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, are also staying in Hawaii.
In 2001, Limbaugh received a cochlear implant after he suddenly lost hearing due to autoimmune inner ear disease. Limbaugh underwent treatment in 2003 for an addiction to prescription painkillers, including Lorcet, Norco and hydrocodone.

I hope he recovers. I think he is amusing and highly talented at what he does. If you ever watch him being interviewed outside of his day job, you get the clear sense that his radio persona is a farce. Besides, Republicans don`t really take him serious anyways.

I agree Ive heard his show from time to time and seen him outside of his show is they are almost night and day.
some ppl do take him very very serious adonis this is one of the things that turned me off of him. Its ok if you take what he says with a grain of salt but some take him at his word.

the displacement tax is much lower for diesels, so this whole dumbass system which is supposed to be enviromentally friendly (the gov tell us) actually favours very old 2-4litre diesels without particle filters. Organisations like NAF (ADAC/AAA), SINTEF (largest independent research organisation in Scandinavia)protest and say the system is crap, and that it causes for a lot more pollution, the government make their own surveys and pollutin readings, and stand completely arrogant on the side. for me the noise a car makes is such a big part of it, that an electric car will NEVER appeal to me like cars with internal combustion engines. No matter the benefits, as long as the electric sports cars sounds like bumper cars or subway trains, or makes no sound at all.

But from my point of view it is because of the tax system in Norway. For every new invention and new prototype fuel efficient engine, the normal motorist is severely punished with taxes here. It is just a matter of time before the government here will tax normal cars with normal internal combustion engines to supercar prices, given that there are electrical cars available. There's even been talk about banning newsales of normal petrol and diesel cars by 2015. Yes, 6 years from now. Only alowing biodiesel, hybrids and other alternative fuels before banning the internal combustion engine for good some years later. The method of changing the country's carpark is by TAX, and by TAX only.
does these people in the government think electric cars generate their own electricity? It has to come from somewhere, and if everybody drives electric cars the hoseholds electric bill will skyrocket. Especially in a cold country like norway where we need a lot of heating in the winter. So unless all the electricity el-cars need come from waterfalls and windmills, the total energy need will still need power generated by coal and fossile fuels.....it's just shifting the end product for the user. Instad of the user burning fossile fuels for energy, the power plant will do it for you, and give you electricity in return.
There's also another aspect....have the designers of electric cars ever driven in scandinavia? Freezing cold temepratures that often freeze batteries solid, high mountains and crappy roads. You will never get nowhere close to the milage in an elecric car here. An where are you going to charge it?....on a 200km mountain pass? Or in some long ass fjord? It's difficult enough to find petrolstations some places as it is. In Norway we need petol and diesel cars and trucks. No arguement, but because of all the new inventions with electric cars, we will continue to be taxed crazy, and we dont need that. New small engines no extras VW passats already cost mercedes s class money here.
The government here has it's mind set that is is us, the norwegians all 4,5mill of us, are the reason the planet is going down the drain, but if we pay tax for it, the world will shine tomorrow. It's like the catholic church in the middle ages and purgatory for f***'s sake.

LOL you probably would think I was a hick jag except Im half japanese but other than that I drive a truck, I hunt(got me a doe and a buck a few weekends back), I am conservative(even though you think Im radical, probably a sign of how far left you are), and I do talk with a southern accent(sometimes bad others not even noticeable).

Limbaugh is the spiritual leader of the radical fringe that has infected the party and I agree that many in the Republican leadership would secretly be happy if he were gone. Maybe he can do a "Lee Atwater" and find out he's dying and and have a spiritual conversion and repudiate his past evil deeds. That would even be fun. One can always hope.

Obama pretended to be a moderate and disguised everything he truly was with a media that covered it up as well.He DID NOT run as the liberal he is.Clinton ran as a moderate,tried to govern to the left,then got blown out of the water in 94 and moved back to the center.Bush ran as a conservative but,unfortunately goverened as a big spending lib.
The far right lunatic,Palin got over 40,000,000 people who voted for her and by the way the VAST majority did indeed vote for her NOT McCain,even McCAINS campaig adviser,who hates Palin,admitted that.
Here is the bottom line.When democrats run and win they do so by hiding what they really are.Never do they say they are liberals,they run on things like tax cuts for 95% of Americans then raise taxes.When conservatives run they trumpet they are conservative.
