this dude is hatin on Frank McGrath and his promo training vid for Animalpak. Showing Frank's pic curling 60's, and dude supposedly has 175 on Preacher..you only see it go up...not down

those are nice bench racks,,, you can move them forward for a better line when you unrack then they snap backwards and get outta the way... :D those are real sweet...
and that guy hit the 350 incline for like 5 reps,,, thats kinda strong.

Agreed, I've never seen anything like this. Would be disastrous if it "malfunctioned" though.

yep it is...seems to have some inbred hate towards pro bodybuilders or steriods users. Do what you do brotha. But he obviously didn't understand a promo vid of Frank doing a set with 60's. He's strong, but so is the "editing" of his vids. You see full vids of the lifts he can do, edited or short vids of the lifts that are suspect.

in my 15 years of training.. with juice and without.. to tons of different cities and gyms.. the guys that rag on juicers are usuallyt the ones that take the most juice, yet they dont get that ripped huge look... so they hate on people with good genes.. just my two cents..

but if u see it go up that means they were down at some point even if he curled it once from the pins

Hey, Meso, I think what happen was he got it up, but needed help with it, so they edited that out. Remember that many times with preacher curls, especially heavy ones, that first rep of gettingit up is the easiest. Once you go down with with it for that 2nd rep, and your bicep is stretched out, that is what truly dictates that you bring it back. That's why you'll see people with a lot of weight for the preacher curl, but that small movement---they are using weight they can't handle. Ego lifting, the preacher curl is a "less weight" movement.
Also dude picks the preacher curl and doesn't curl the 60's like Frank, which I believe Frank was starting out with. I don't know if the the Frank McGrath AnimalPak promo training vid is the same that is on Youtube or not.

with preacher I don't believe in straightening you arms alll the way down I've injured my arm like that before I do believe in going lower than half way though
also u don't believe in going super heavy on preachers I never go heavier than a 45 and a25lb per side I think of preachers as more of an isolation movement for my bi peaks

Yeah, Meso I meant that the preacher curl is isolation. I've gone down to the bottom for that stretch. There was a Flex Wheeler vid where he was training Rhino, and Flex said he believed going all he way down helps the peak of he bicep. To be truthful I've never used a 45, ive been up to 35, and had prblems with going to the bottom with that. If I ha e trouble with the rep I will lower the weight to something I can complete it. To he'll with handling weight I can't yet do. I don't care what anybody in he gym says. Preacher curl for me is a third or forth exercise. I usually alternate between free weight and a cable exercise, that's if I don't superset with tris.

He's black, muscular, speaks ebonics, looks and dresses like a thug and hangs out in the gym all day..............did you really expect anything different? Probably works at a hamburger joint and lives with his mom while supporting two kids out of wedlock.

I thought he says it helped with the peak, but now that you bring it up, I agree with you. I know that when I focus on lowering it all the way down, I get a real burning sensation right where the bicep inserts at the elbow. As a matter of fact, after I finish that exercise, I dare not bend my arms, because I will get a cramp or a muscle spasm. It's always that exercise or doing a partial barbell curl (sitting with the barbell in my lap, and curl to halfway).
Levrone and Sergio had long full bicep insertions, yet relatively "poor" peak. I have more of that, my brother has very good peaks, insane. He doesn't like training, but if he stayed on it, he would be insane.

I as really impressed with the 350 pound incline press.
