America is not actually missing Bush. That's just someone reminding everybody of the shortcoming of the present president. Actually America did no hate Bush, the very rich and powerful ultra left wing groups hated Bush. Having control of the major media outlets, they pounded the message across daily in the press, cable news, TV, radio, etc. If a lie is repeated often enough it will be believe. Hitler did this very well during the 30's. And most American are easily lead and/or just plain too lazy to think on their own now days.
Any one not agreeing with the ultra left, or people not going with all their views, will be considered stupid, dumb or whatever by them. They are the self appointed elitist whom, in their own view, seem to know much better than anyone else how to control and run the country.
As far a Bush goes, his college records show a much higher grade point average than Gore, Kerry and Ted Kennedy,the much less gifted mentally of his other 3 brothers. If you think that Bush's fathers money and status got him better grades in college, consider that Gore, Kerry and Kennedy were all raised in extremely wealthy family's. With great influence on any university they attended. Just shows, in America, how far and high a good line of BS can take one. Just to add, I am not a Bush admirer, so no bias intended in all this. I am an American National, which means I can not vote with in the U.S..
As far as the prestent Hope and Change chant goes, I 'hope' Americans have enough 'change' left in their pockets to get their next meal in the coming year. Guess that chant might also fall under the BS banner also.

Well said JPM. All the major media outlets from such print media like the NY Times and all the major networks like CNN, ABC, NBC and CBS are Obama supporters. He can never do any wrong in their eyes. One major media provider Fox news is the only one who will criticize Obama and they get labled as biased. How they are biased when they are the lone ones that will challenge his policies is beyond me.
His raping of tax payer money and giving it to banks and car companies will set this country back for generations to come. Now that Fox news is critical of tax payer money going into private industry pockets he announces he's now against government spending. It's to late for that. You already gave away the farm.

Only way to disprove all this is to open all records, beginning from high school. I'm black and I did not vote for Obama. I really wanted to vote for him for two reasons. First, because his opponent wasn't a better choice. Second....because he's black! I'm a 46 year old black male, and I didn't think I would see a black president in my lifetime. I have a very young daughter, and there's something comforting in knowing that the idea of a black president won't be a fantasy to her. With that, I REALLY wish it had been Colin Powell. I couldn't vote for Obama because in all of the speeches, I still had no clue as to what he was about. Had I voted for him it would have only been because he's black. IMO, that's just as wrong as those who don't like him just because he's black.
It was either Tre' or Drjake who made a point you all should take to heart. He said (paraphrasing) that it really doesn't matter who is in office. They don't care about the poor. They only care about the wealthy.

Come on Doc, you're smarter than that!! I work overseas and sit next to a contractor who was greatly affected by changes in the tax laws. Prior to a few years ago, he only paid taxes on anything over 80K on his base salary. With the change in the law, his taxable income now includes the 30-40K he gets for housing, the 20K he gets per kid for schooling. He's far from rich, but he political decisions have affected him a lot.
I do agree that most people don't really know what they're talking about when it comes to politics (myself included). Hell, many of our politicians are clueless.

The stock market was as low as 6600!!!!!, now its been as high as 10,500 and settled around 10,000 now. Housing sales are up, Ford, GM, are seeing billion dollar profits, along with the banks!. Hell yeh its addicting!, my total now for past 8 days is $4000. I just set my take profit and stop loss and when it reaches my limit it automatically takes the profit. I just sit there at watch TV and eat!. Iv been doing it for 8 fricken days, im not going to leverage $10K right now, im only using $500 per trade. MattT may want to back away from the pipe before he sends a post on here. 750,00 jobs lost every month would be 9 million in a years. Not happening. And now as low as 11,000 jobs lost a month, still not happening. The only job gains are with the federal employment. Working for the government. The private sector creates long term job growth, not the government. And the private sector is hurting very badly these days. Plants, construction and factory's are slow (or not at all) to order ahead for parts/equipment, etc. Even paper products, which are a strong indicator of how business is going.The second quarter of this year is expected to bring even more mortgage defaults and homes lost. That's when the s*** really hits the fan.
Let's be honest, the Obama White House seems to be way over it's head. Acting like a bunch of little kids playing with monopoly money. And we all are hit with more taxes to try and cover their stupid mistakes. Like throwing more money at any thing will solve problems and it's not their money, it's the peoples money.
