I still catch a lot of heat when I tell blacks that I did not vote for Obama. The conversation usuallys ends quick when I ask, "Why did you vote for him?" Don't get me wrong, I do understand WANTING to vote for him because he's black. I don't believe there is a black person in America who wouldn't want to see a black person in the white house. I just think, as in the case with a white person, it should be the right person for the job.

Agreed, and the wealthy will still be wealthy. I'm failing to see your point. No one is going to change their status as a result of who's in office. What can happen is the rich gets richer, the poor gets poorer, the middle class moves up or down within that class.

People keep redefining middle class for political gain but most people aren't making the kind of money where anything Obama, Bush, Bush, Clinton or anyone else is really going to affect.

Most of the crap people talk about politics is bullshit anyways.

well what i have a problem with is..the same blacks that voted for obama JUST for being black are the same ones that resent whites that didn't vote for him for being black...and call those whites racist $:-\$

Come on Doc, you're smarter than that!! I work overseas and sit next to a contractor who was greatly affected by changes in the tax laws. Prior to a few years ago, he only paid taxes on anything over 80K on his base salary. With the change in the law, his taxable income now includes the 30-40K he gets for housing, the 20K he gets per kid for schooling. He's far from rich, but he political decisions have affected him a lot.

I do agree that most people don't really know what they're talking about when it comes to politics (myself included). Hell, many of our politicians are clueless.

I'll take you for your word when you say you're not a racist. Just consider these things....would you say to your intelligent black friends, "I hate those nggrs." I suspect not. The reason being you will be percieved as a racist. That same perception holds true online. My favorite whites are Tom G., Rich D., and Rich H. These are not famous people. They are people that I know well enough to know that they are good folks, regardless of their skin color.

Exactly what is worse now in America since Obama took office?. Before he took office 750,000 jobs were being lost each month, now its been as low as 11,000 jobs lost, by June we will see job creation is positive numbers.
