You know i dont want to sound critical of Branch, im a fan of his crazy strength, but isnt that front press more of an incline press? his ass isnt on the seat so hes at an angle....Still more weight then i can ever dream of doing...

JOJ is a good deadlifter. There are probably a few bb'ers out there who can beat him in bench/pushing exercises and squats.

disagree... for me being strong at one or two lifts doesn't make you the strongest nor just being strong at deads squats and bench to earn that ttle u should be strong at everything dumbell press shoulder press row etc etc IMO branch is stronger. And so are quite a few other bbers

Johnnie didn't even get 2 reps on that military with 315 by himself ronnie pressed that for 12 like it was nothing branch although his ass was off the chair repped that like paper. Johnnie is not the strongest bber being strong on deadlift and squat doesn't make you the strongest he pretty much get pwned everywhere else

Do you mean in deadlift alone? Cos he clearly isn't a stronger military presser than Branch. Also I've never seen JOJ squat more than maybe 3 and a half plates and Branch does 5 quite regularly on video. I know that is anecdotal and means nothing but at a time when Ronnie was dealifting 800lb, benching 495 and front squatting 6 plates JOJ was claiming strongest pro status, seems pretty weird to me, even of he can beat one guy Ben White in one lift.

the point is clearly he isnt maybe in the deadlift and that is debatable. what did he bench 540 if that against ben white most pros i said most not all that have any size have benched five hundred or more at one time and they dont claim to be the strongest . hell i seen a video of kia green do 5 plate =485 for 5 and doensnt even claim anything abount his strenght

x2, no way could JOJ do this (fast forward to 7:00), and Kai doesn't even mention his own strength.
I don't blame JOJ for taking the marketing approach he has, but it's simply not true that he is even in the top 5 strongest BBs in the world. Apart from maybe deadlift.

Strongest IFBB pro in the world means that one must have COMPETED as a pro, which Stan the man hadnt done to that point....now he is eligable, which will make for a great challenge this year...

same here but they may just do that for dramatic effect for the vids...
most of the time,,, if you cant rack unrack properly it's too heavy... ok for once in a while but if your doin that all the time,,, injury chance has to increase...
also,,, they're pros, with that said looks like branch does all his reps in everything ballistic,,, he must feel confident with his tricep, i know its been a while so.... does anyone know if branch always did those ballistic reps or is this recent,,, how did he tear his tri again?
he looked strong on that front press too btw... surprised he moved it that quick on the bottom...
surprised their shoulders are still intact. that's a lot of front delt work there.
noticed they did front raises thumbs up as opposed to palms down,,, i used to do palms down during the 1st 3 years of training then dropped them cause they made my shoulders start to hurt... i was thinking about throwing them back in cause its been like 7 yrs now and heard that thumbs up is the safer way to do them,,, anyone with actual experience,,, chick, anyone, etc. know its a training question but i'm already in this post, lol.

true but it's part of the biz... he prob made about a grand for that vid that took maybe an hour to shoot from when he got there to when he left so including travel, maybe and hour both ways and another hour being 2 total and to wear more than what he wears to compete in not a bad day. bb'rs are used to showing off their bodies so this isn't that much of a stretch,,, exhibitionists do it all the time for me,,, some are "affluent" people and have garbage bodies so...
and no one can take jj's strength away...
again, part of the biz... people do a lot worse than that...
how many do nothing housewives just layed there to get pregnant, to get & keep a paycheck... and how many chumps go along with it because it's a girl with her legs and hole spread for him,,, almost anytime he wants or complains enough... and how many of those guys cry when they bust... i mean get real. who cares about jj prancin & dancin for schmoes &/or ladies... it's the biz and won't change.

First, it's not an argument, its a fact.
You're not a "pro" until youve competed as a pro...simple as that. Having a pro card makes you eligable to compete as a professional in the Pro League....calling yourself a pro when never actually competing as one would be ludicrious.
The rules we came up with for this title were put in place to insure some sort of level playing field...
That said, judging by your response, you obviously dont know how the pro card system works...when one wins a pro qualifier, you actually have to submit for approval for a pro card, it's not automatic, and contingent on your ability to actually step on stage and compete.

Since I won the title of "world's strongest human" I can now call myself The World's Strongest Human, because if you win a competition with that title you don't actually have to worry about whether the statement in the title is true.

Since I won the title of "world's strongest human" I can now call myself The World's Strongest Human, because if you win a competition with that title you don't actually have to worry about whether the statement in the title is true.

They get paid more than that. I was offered 5 g's with travel and accommodations covered obviously. 2 days in Miami to shoot for Muscle Gallery. I thought about it but realized it was more than a couple pics taken in a posing suit.

exactly,,, you get my point to though...
i mean,,, yeah some stuff is questionable and sometimes of course theres more involved, however it's the biz and people in it expect it. they get paid more than 5k for that stuff,,, so when some people out in usa work 52 40hr wks and make 25k-30k for that,,, some of these guys get a chance to make a 1/3 to 1/2 that in a days or two.. to prance around and gyrate .. of course thery take it... (maybe they figure i move more 4x-8x the amount of weight a normal guy does so, whos he to judge). i mean i know this is getbig where everyone is a fortune 500 guy that makes 25k in a bad week benches 700lbs for reps 1000lb dl and 1500lb squat but to meer mortals living below those high rises,,, 5k is a good take.
who cares what anybody does to make a living, unless you intend to do business with someone... but who cares,,, really.
