Too bad. He was a nice guy. Had the pleasure on a few occassions to meet Merlin and Deacon Jones at my uncles office. I remember way back in the late 70's going to Merlin's car dealership to pretend to buy a car just to see him. Hey we have a ton of autographed stuff of Merlin's if anyone wants any. Worth more now.

Guy was an all-star, like, every year he played. That's Brooks Robinson territory. Rarefied air.
wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merlin_Olsen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merlin_Olsen)
'Olsen made the Pro Bowl a record 14 times throughout his career, only missing it on his final year. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1982. In 1999, he was ranked number 25 on The Sporting News' list of the 100 Greatest Football Players.'

Used to go to Legends all the time (still do once in a while) down on Second St. in Belmont Shore. It burned down a couple of years ago and re-opened about a year later. It's about 5 miles from my house.

Merlin who ??? Keith try and stay current, living two decades ago is not cool.

A man who goes to the All-star game every year of his career and is still over shadowed by this death of this twink, Oh the irony.

They sponsored me. The owner Gene Rotondo is a friend of mine. My photo was lost in the fire I heard. Oh well. Here I am in their shirt.

Wouldn't surprise me, I saw it burn. If it wasn't between two other shops it would have been leveled.

Merlin Olsen comes from that dying generation where a man conducted himself like a man. With dignity, respect, honor and humility. Truly one of the good guys and a dying breed.
Now we are left with cock hungry ass wipes like you.
Our culture is doomed.

You know we came from a great time when men were actually men and you proved it face to face. Nowadays like most of the guys on here they think being able to type on a computer witty things makes them men. Most of the guys on here must be so happy the internet was invented. They can be whatever they want to be and no one can tell the difference.

Does this mean you will meet Goodrum, and challenge him to a duel? ???

One of the infamous "Fearsome Foursome" !!
RIP Merlin.

Merlin was tough mofo like this guy.

Throughout his adult life Merlin Olsen was always considered an honest, decent man and a true gentleman. But out on the gridiron he was a beast. Even as a little kid I was inspired by the Rams defensive line as well as the Pittsburgh defense way back in the Jack Lambert days.
MJK, the cowardly, smack-talking punk, hiding behind a key board wants to tell us what is and is not cool. LOL! You have no clue, cock-lover. I pity your nothing generation.
You want to see cool? Get a load of this, bitches. These fuckers are a different breed all together. Behold The Fearsome Foursome.
