Post by: JimmyJam1974 on April 02, 2010, 02:29:24 PM

I find these things (shoes or socks?) to be very bizarre.

They look decent for calf raises I guess.

And squats too. I used to like barefoot squats back when I worked out in a shithole gym. Nowadays, corporate gyms frown upon that shit

I have three pair of Nike Air Rifts, they look better and much sleeker than those...especially my black pair.

The Vibram 5 fingers are big with Crossfit ::) folks and some types of trail runners (the fellas that want the barefoot experience, but don't want to go shoe less).

I've heard good things from about 80% of people that buy them. The real trouble is for folks with odd shaped/odd sized feet, lots of rubbing complaints. Also, they'll smell like a hobo's ass if you aren't careful about cleaning them every few days.

I'm a bit of a shoe fruit myself, for a good summer barefoot style shoe, I'm thinking of these-

For a good, thin, cheap gym shoe, I've always gone with Aqua sock type things.

Yes had them as a sponsor 2 years ago.  They are great for the ocean.  For general walk around not so great but not that bad either.  People seem to like them

Feelmax "Osma" . My understanding is that it's a British brand. I like the thin soled designs a bit, but hate the goofy Hippy look most have. These look normalish to me for a light summer shoe.

They look uncomfortable.  I've had toe socks before and even that is too much thickness between the toes.  They certainly would not be good for anything requiring arch support.

They are great for the ocean.  Makes walking on the rocks a whole lot better.  Walking in them to much is not good.  They make some that are really sticky on the bottom for rock climbers.  everyone notices them when you wear them
