All for nothing once the NCAA comes down on them next week.

Feel bad for the kids paying for the mistakes of Bush league years ago.

After the workout Ausmus gathered the team together to discuss the importance of pre and post workout recovery as well as general nutrition, I'm not quite surre whether he actually has anyone on an actual eating plan but by just looking at some of the linemen you'd have to think nutrition should be a priority.

Most of those guys do not take nutrition seriously.  They have 20 year old metabolisms so I guess they figure what is the point?

The point is when they turn 25 and turn into a big sack of lard because no one ever taught them about clean eating.

THey should really have nutritionists on staff because a lot of the Linemen are not big and strong, but sloppy, fat and unconditioned.

They do have nutritionists on staff and this was the first workout of the season. I'm quite sure they'll be ready by the season. D1 S&C coachs don't f**k around when it comes to team performance, after all IT IS a reflection on them!

How does the used car salesman Kiffin compare to Coach Carrol if you've had the chance to meet him?

I met Kiffin at the Nike Coach of the Year clinic a couple of months back and seemed cool to me. Coach Carroll is a great recruiter and very inspirational when we spoke...a very high energy person. Aaron Ausmus the S&C coach was awesome, he basically gave me us an open invitation to come and observe the workouts anytime.

Yeah, I'm a UT Vol fan, so a bit jaded against Kiffey. Ausmus was supposed to be our strength coach as well, but he followed Kiffin to USC. I read nothing but positive things about Ausmus, wish he would of stuck around.

When I've been around college football players, their nutrition was terrible.  I'd ask, "should you really be eating that?"

The answer to me was "I have to keep my weight up".

How is that funny?? The funny thing is that U$C got caught giving money to pay Reggie and his family.  :D That is more sad then anything else.  >:( The Funny thing is a couple of days before Reggie got drafted is when asked, "Reggie, how did you parents pay for that house?" Reggie, "Ummm....ahhhh....like, (sighed),...my parents were paying it, i think." What a fucking idiot?? He could have just told another lie and said, "My parents paid the monthly bills/Note on the house."  :o :D

"NCAA" always have people over every Camous and especially at every Major campus! U$C has been walking the tight rope for many years and i do know two Blue Chip recruits from MICHIGAN who now play at U$C, they were gettin PAID!! Look em' up and you should know why they are but they were shady coming out of High School. The sad thing is that they will never "really" get to the bottom of this.  >:( I have a buddy who workes for Scout.com and he covers all the High School players.  :o U$C got off very lucky!!

MICHIGAN got caught with watching too much practice and this is a good thing, to me and numerous other MICHIGAN FANS AND ALUMNI.  :) We will be horrible this year and that is fine with me!! RR has had many talks with David Brandon (New A.D.) They never liked each other from the start and we shall lose scholarships and practice time.  ;D The good thing is that we will not have to pay him shit.  :D My buddy has spoken to him numerous times and RR was asked about quitting.....He said that everything is up in the air as of right now.  8) RR has came across every Alumni as being arrogant and disrespected THE MICHIGAN TRADITION.  >:( RR has pissed off every Alumni, except Rick Leach but Dhani Jones, Braylon Edwards, Larry Foote, David Harris, Chad Henne, Jake Long, Jon Jansen, Ahmani Toomer, Mike Hart, Jamie Morris, Morgan Trent, Charles Woodson Anthony Thomas, Chris Perry, Jon Runyan (N.J. - Going into Political office), TY Law, Charles Woodson, Steve Hutchinson, Tom Brady, Brian Griese, Ian Gold, Steve Breaston, Mike Hart, Llyod Carr and numerous others.  :) This will only help to get rid of his ass and now that he will see minor Sanctions = His head but he looks so damn burnt out because the admissions are so much tougher then what he is used too.  :) See ya RR, do not let the door hit you where the good lord spilt you.  :o The great thing about RR is that we will not have to pay his dumb ass because we practiced too much.  8)

Look, take away the Heisman or not he was still the best player that year. Those sanctions were way to harsh of a punishment to hand down because of one player. It's not fair to the current class of players and as much as people dislike Kiffin, it's not fair to him and his staff. You want to take away Bush's Heisman and past National Championships and Bowl games...fine, but not possible future bowl games.

Ok, i get that but you do what, go to U$C and watch some guys train?? I have friends who work there, go to school there and i have some buds who work for numerous ""BIG TIME" Recruiting sites and i have recieved letters about how this is a complete joke!! There are rapes that went under Pete's watch and one included Mark Sanchez with a 14 year old girl in bed with him.  :-\ :-\ She got paid and was asked to never speak about this ever again.

You feel that strong about these sanctions?? How about asking SMU players?? U$C was close to getting a T.V. ban also.  :-\ Not sure as to why that did not happen. These guys know what is wrong as what is right and what U$C did was flat out WRONG. You are so pathetic man.  No, he can't be found.  He also doesn't have to deal with the NCAA so wouldn't you agree he left at a convenient time?

It's been going on for 6 years, why would now be more convenient than before? You really think just because he moved on it's automatically over for him? Are you saying maybe Seattle Seahawks had a hand in purposely getting him out of there...please!

Are you stupid or just refusing to accept the facts?

"On December 28, 2009 it was announced that Bush had lost his bid for confidential arbitration in this matter and that the case would proceed to trial. Sworn statements would become public record and could be used by the NCAA to conclude its investigation into this matter. This investigation had been stalled by the NCAA's lack of subpoena power"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reggie_Bush#NCAA_investigation_and_lawsuits (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reggie_Bush#NCAA_investigation_and_lawsuits)

I will put this in words that you can understand.  For the past 4 years of the investigation, the NCAA was stonewalled from getting the info they needed to investigate.  The blockage came to an end on December 28, 2009.  This means his relationship with the agents would become part of the investigation and thus, public knowledge.  Less than 2 weeks later Carroll bolted for the NFL.

Just stop already.

There was also a few boosters who paid guys to come to U$C and paid their familes. I also "Believe" that they could have went after Matt Leinhart's dad for paying Dwayne Jarrett's part of the rent.   :o

Coach, you and I often agree about things, but on this issue I need to speak.

As a former Div. I athlete, I find it reprehensible to think that a STUDENT/athlete would be getting paid, much less his family.

By an athlete or his/her family accepting monetary gifts, the athlete is missing the whole point of amateurism.  You play a college sport for the love of the sport.  If you are a scholarship athlete, you are getting the opportunity of a free education at an esteemed University which will open doors that go far beyond the athletic field.

What the NCAA needs to do is look at so-called elite "academic institutions" that field some of the best sports teams in multiple sports year after year (USC is an example--even had violations in women's tennis).  For athletic scholarship athletes, how far is the institution deviating from the academic standards of the institution?

I'm all for giving a kid a chance, but just because a kid can play football at an outstanding level, performs great on the basketball court, etc. does not mean that he should be allowed in the hallowed halls of certain universities.

I agree with all of that, in fact there is talk of Bush not even being allowed on campus. I'm just saying why does the future of the football program have to suffer the consequences of the past. Seriously does that make sense or am I really missing something? I don't think Kiffen should eat it if they play well enough to make it to bowl games this year...do you?

Seriously?? You are barking up the wrong tree with that lame ass excuse!! Chris Webber is one word and he is not even allowed back on MICHIGAN'S campus till....2012 i believe!! The other four are allowed and encouraged to come back.  :) Jalen, Jimmy, Rey and Juwan are always welcome back to campus.  :)

Oh Jesus Christ.  Kiffen, Ed Orgeron, and Todd McNair were members of the USC staff when the infractions occurred.  Yes, they should eat shit for what they did.

We were on probation for 10 years and Chris still deny's that he ever took anything! We lost out on 10 years. U$C got off really soft and i think they were close to getting a T.V. ban.  :) The only money Chris ever took was when he was a Middle School star and High school star to play for some jackass but our future players were punished.  :)

Coach, it makes perfect sense.

The institution compromised the spirit and intent of amateur athletics.

Sports at the college level, as far as we may have drifted from the original principles, are still supposed to be about fair play and lessons learned on the field carrying over into other aspects of successful life.  Less than 1% of Division I athletes are going to have successful athletic careers at the professional level, so the athlete is playing their chosen sport as a representative of the institution.  If the institution has compromised its ideals, everyone suffers.

Otherwise, no lesson is learned.

Putting it in that prospective it now makes perfect sense. Sometimes it takes me awhile but eventually I get it....I got that! What D1 sport did you play and where?

stick to obama coach.  reggie was getting paid to play at USC.  ojay stuff went to civil and they got him anyway down the road.  carroll shouldnt be allowed to coach at the ncaa or pro level for 2 yrs...and bush should lose his hardware.  let these guys play for something.  you can fine the school a couple of million too.  bet their hire people in future to keep on eye on this kind of stuff.
i'm pretty sure the boosters and or an agent was paying not the university.....their problem was knowing about it and not doing anything...

Our Gym destroys that and word is, Rich Rod is "SERIOUSLY" thinking about quitting MICHIGAN.  :) I can only hope that he leaves and or is fired.  :D

SC's gym is in the basement under Heritage Hall. In the other room there is 6 more platforms, 4 more cages, DB's, plyo boxes, some machines, etc, etc

My friend works for Scout.com and talks with RR ALOT! The Demar Dorsey Situation has takin so much out of him and he just sounds out of gas.  :o ;D :D :o Thank God! He just told me that he has never seen him so depressed and just looks as if has no clue.  :) He is not a MICHIGAN MAN and has no clue as to how to deal with the coaching responsibilities.  ;D

He could've gotten Demar through at West Virginia.

He could've gotten Demar through at West Virginia.

That whole situation irritated me.  >:( I feel really bad for the kid but he made some critical mistakes while in H.S.  >:( My buddy is pretty close with Denard and Demar is Denard's cousin. Denard spoke to my friend (who works for scout) and said that Demar felt betrayed and hurt as regards to how RR handled his admissions. Demar was suppose to go to a juco in Kansas but i feel that he will end up at F$U, Miami or maybe WVU.  :) I wish him the best but what killed him trying to get into MICHIGAN was the fact that he went to a Alternative school.  :-\ Demar could always try the juco route but MICHIGAN "very rarely" accepts JUCO credits.  :-\
