My good friend is a cop. He was about 150lbs when he hired on. Now he's around 200lbs at about 13% BF.
Ethical guy my friend...

Ronnie Coleman, Sergio Oliva. 2 MR.O's. Who cares if they juice. Look at all the wack jobs they deal with.

Cops are just people like everyone else.
What do you think how many cops smoke weed, drive after a few beers, drive too fast and simply do the same shit we all do when nobody watches.
These guys are just lucky that when they get pulled over, it will be Pauly from the morning shift and he'll just say: "Hey, how ya doing? Better brush your teeth before you show up at work, dude. ;D "

In a way,, I have to agree with DK!! In a past post,, I posted something about a certain someone being a cop and wondering about steriod use,,well,, people are poeple!! Doesn't matter what profession they are!! On the other hand,, there's use and then there's abuse!!

What's use and what's abuse is in the eye of the beholder, to some 1g is moderate, to some it's excess.
And you will find this in every job, fucking priests, lying politicians (no wait, that's actually what they are supposed to do), drug abusing doctors.
A lot of doctors are on a lot of stuff, because they can get they hands on the legit products so easily. Then just write a fake prescription for Joe Smith and you're set.
-
Say you get a cop that juices or smokes weed regularly and he pulls someone over and discovers that they have a couple of vial of test in their gym bag that they just bought off the local gym dealer or maybe they have a bag of weed in their glove compartment. It's obvious that it's just for personal use. Should the cop let him go or bust him like they did recently of some college athlete or just let him go?

I'm a french cop, lot of collegue drink ( lots are drunkar), smoke weed, and using gear, one of my ex-collegue was 117kg for 7/8 % bdft.
but it's a cultural fact in France, you'd better be a drunkar than a steroid freak.
-
there was this one cop at my old high school, big guy with near 20-inch arms who probably juiced, he was known as Supercop or Robocop. he would just hang out in the cafeteria and talk to the hot girls.

Sure they should bust them!!!!
It's their job, if they abuse weed themselves it's what they do in their freetime. Do you expect a cop that beats his wife to do nothing when he's called to a DV case??
They're just humans, but i expect them to do their job right. So if the cop juices, and he catches a juicer, he must take him in. It's unfair, but hey, that's life.

Well, I don't equate beating someone (what you do to someone else) to someone smoking weed or juicing (what you do to yourself that has no effect on others). If a someone beat his wife he goes to jail. If a cop beats his wife he goes to jail. If a cop arrests someone for having steroids then this cop should be arrested as well. And if a cop juices you can be sure someone on the department knows it but turns a blind eye. Everyone knew that Coleman used everything and anything. How hypocritical would it be for him to arrest someone with a couple of vials of test when he knows damn well it will have zero impact on crime or effect other citizens? Not the case with a wife beater.
Cops turn a blind eye to certain crimes under certain circumstances all the time. If they pull someone over for speeding and find it's a fellow cop or his mother they will let them go. If a Coleman stumbles upon a gym rat trying to pack on a few pounds of muscle for the ladies then just let him go. Steroids is a felony in this country and no need to ruin a guy's life when you do the exact same thing.
That's being human.

Aside from the archaic drug laws I used to want to be a cop. But I've sold way too many drugs, do too many drugs and know too many people who sell and do drugs though. Pay is shit and they don't get respect anymore. I don't care if a cop juices, but I sure as fuck hope that a juiced up cop doesn't ever bust me for juice.
I've been pretty lucky with cops though. I've been busted for just weed a few times. One time a pussy cop put a hardcore scare on me but just ended up keeping the oz of weed I just bought (but it was the best weed I've ever had). We ended up talking about Dragonball Z and random shit and he let me go. I opened my glove box when I got home because he was giving me a weird vibe, and the fucker put a tiny little nugget in a pill container I had. Should have put a bigger one in there but I can't complain.
I was extremely lucky to get off on that one though.. My buddy had an 1/8th of coke, bunch of pre-packaged crack and a scale that I had no idea about. Cops just kept the drugs and didn't file anything. Record is still clean so I can't complain. Was a big relief when I found that nugget in the pill container too. I probably would have lost the new job I got at that time, raged and went on a downhill spiral.
-
HAHAHA you want a true story guy ?
during a patrol some collegue arrested a guy with "something strange" like "protein or amphetamin" on him.
as i'm the "bodybuilder" of my team my collegue called me.
my collegue were controlling a black guy and the "strange thing" was a box of 500 tab of "DANABOL DS", you know the little blue heart ?
i just say it was steroid, nobody know or care about it, the black guy get out.
i told him to protect his liver and his ball, he was really surprised cos i didn't even what he was taking, he just told me "i've gained 10 pounds in 10 day i take 4 of these tab each day".

Pay is shit? Try to become a cop in California. You start at nearly 60 grand and by the time you're five years on the force you can pull six figures with OT. Not to mention the sweet pension plan that you can get at 50 if you put in enough years.
Now why is Cali broke again?

ronnie made it he didn't care about being a cop, all he was concerned in the video was eating, carrying tupperware and keeping his uniform clean, he even come home during work.

I'm in Canada, remember. I think the cops here start out at not much more than 40k or something just above the poverty line. Working third shift and being hated as fuck isn't worth it, IMO. Seems like they're spending more time patrolling the roads and ticketing people rather than dealing with the drugs and gang bangers. Crime is at it's worst and all that's happening is people are getting way more tickets for traffic violations.

Tons of cops are on the juice, so what? You can talk about hypocrisy and stuff like that, but still, these guys have to face scum everyday and have to be able to defend themselves and innocents, so a certain physical presence won't hurt in that job.
Like DK said, they're only human. There are also doctors who are chainsmokers, alcoholics and drug users, and tell their patients with a straight face how bad all of that stuff is.

I'm not sure if this was directed at me but I have no issue with cops or anyone else using steroids. What someone does to themselves is none of my business.

As was told to me---"You have dudes in prison who have nothing but time on their hands. And what do they do, they work out and plot what they are gonna do when they get out. So, what are you gonna do. You have jacked up dudes who come right out prison, right out the box, jacked. Now take your average cop, can he handle that on the street"

I don't think so... all the prison documents i see they are 23h lock down with super observation in ALL prisons... if they are lucky they have 30 minutes time to workout in ENTIRE FUCKING WEEK!!!!
it's because the training yards are full with badest individuals who are allowed to train... if you go to the prison you you will jsut stand still on the playfield among thousands of others with no room to do shit....... I'd say one out of million becomes jacked in prison, I won't believe untill I see pictures.
The jacked ones are like... how do i say ... like... "chosen ones"...

Absolutely true. In most prisons the prisoners have to file a request first to even use the weight room, and when they're allowed they can use it like once a week. Furthermore they have no way to juice in prison, and the prison-food is low in calories and almost protein-free.
Whoever thinks there are just super-jacked n*ggaz in jail, is definetely watching too many bad movies and series. The pure thought of someone getting jacked in prison is completely laughable.

Stallone was jacked in "Lock-Up", and so was JCVD in AWOL, are you telling me these movies lie?? :o :o :o

weightlifting IN prison... actually.
part one and two, interesting, they are actually lifting heavy shit! I guess it's due to their EXTREMELEY good behavour, the prison guard said that it's very dangerous to have all these inmates in one place because they have had lots of shit between them in the past, BUT, they all know, that if anything happends in there, the gym is no more forever... so I guess this is an exception but... you know, still ammazing, watch the document, it's very good.

The local steroid dealer where I live asked some of his friends that were cops what would happen. They told him that they would normally either just take it for themselves or let him go if he claimed personal usage.
-
Good question - Does a cop on steroids arrest someone for having steroids.. Based on my experience, and I'm just surmizing here because in 17 yrs of police work, I can't recall coming across anyone with steroids, nor any of my partners, I would say they would not arrest them if it is personal use and it was not apparent on video. In the past, before we video taped everything, it was not uncommon for cops from my department to let people go for small amounts of pot, and the cops didn't smoke it. They would just ground it into the dirt. I would imagine they would first verify it wasn't some other illegal drug before doing that. And as far as cops on juice, it probably varies department to department depending on testing, culture, professionalism etc etc. We have 1600 cops, none look to obviously be on steroids but there could be a few. I know in the past 17 yrs, I can recall 3 that I'm 99% sure took them. 2 have since moved on, 1 is still here, but has dropped 30 lbs of muscle and is into crossfit training and probably stopped. Now HRT......you can't swing a dead cat around here...
-
It all depends...if the cop is smacking me, I say hell no....but if he's putting the boots to some undesirable shitbag....then hell yeah!

I used to work in a office that was in a jail, and many of the dudes that pulling a lil time were deisel mofos. I'm not talking that bulky look, I'm talking ripped bis and tris and abs, with big chests. Also, I had talked to a nurse who worked at Rikers, and she said there were tons of ripped up, deisel dudes who had girlfriends visiting them, but the dudes were doing more than spotting their inmate partners..."that's not hemmoroids..."

hmmmmh..... allright then, can't argue with that.
I guess human body will adapt to almost anything... if the only thing it does is being in physical presure with low calories and carbs, it will become muscular/strong with low bodyfat...
and i think johnnynoname wants more info about the spoting..

The cops in Hawaii are the biggest I have ever seen. There are some little ones but they gotta have the most big cops of any force in the US. And most of the prison guards are huge too. I remember after the OJ trial and they were anticipating trouble in Waikiki. I went down there and they had to have had every 300 lb person in Hawaii wearing a uniform working Waikiki that day. No way in the world was anyone going to start trouble.
-
Cops should be held to a higher standard. A paid protector of the law using illegal drugs, busting others for crimes he commits himself every day? Fuck that! They should be punished harder than average folk too if busted for something like steroids. Have a corrupt LE and there is zero trust from the public, it's just another criminal gang, only this one protected. Fuck them.

My brother is a CHP and retires in Dec. with 30 years. He is 55 years old. I went to his wedding in 1996. There were a little over 200 people. 200 of them were cops from all over. He is a very well known cop probably more for his size. When he became a cop he 6'6" and weighed 300+ lbs. He has college degree and everything. Very athletic. Ran a 5.1 40 yard in full pads (football). If you are a cop in Southern Cal and especially a CHP you know my brother. he is was based in South Central and for the past 10 years or so he is down in Temecula. He is known as Robocop and Dinosaur. He makes alot of money. He is a workaholic. Overtime and court as much as possible. He takes his vacations every year where he travels to a different country and play golf. He has played on courses all over the world. Now at a relatively young age he will be retired and be able to play everyday now. His wife is an RN. Back 96' he was making well over $100,000. Any cop on here or CHP can easily verify what I say. If you talk to him tell it is nice he stays in contact.

Jeez....South Central? Yikes. And there are always a ton of cops married to RN's, EMT's etc...I guess because they understand each others work schedules and job stresses better...

I guess he met her when he had to go to the hospital once. He has been shot a couple times from what I understand. Nothing serious. One guy drove him off the side of the 405 down the embankment I heard. At his wedding the cops were telling me all kinds of stories about him. He won some award in 96' or so and got to meet the President. My attorney actually said he saw him on the news and that i how I found out. We don't really talk anymore. He is a mister goody two shoes and I guess I am too loud for him. But, I am kind of proud he is my brother. He just set the bar to high for me growing up. Luckily I had my own goals

We don't choose family...... I've been around so many people where when one brother is like that, a younger one usually rebels against it. I'm sure its a pain in the ass growing up with an "all american" boy older brother....luckily, both of mine were pretty rowdy, so I always came across as pretty low key in comparison.
-
These days some communities are coming to the conclusion that if you want professional cops, you have to pay professional wages to get the best candidates. When I started in 93 I made $11 an hour in the Academy. I think it bumped up to $13 an hour after the academy. Honestly, back then I would have done it for less. I used to look forward to coming to work and would get disappointed when my days off came around. We have worked 4 10hr shifts with 3 days off a week since I came on. Over the years we have increased our minimum requirements for college, and culled through a lot of questionable applicants to find the 40 or so that start the academy. We can afford to be picky because here in Texas a 2 yr cop can close in on 100K with overtime with a 23 yr retirement at a 3.2 multiplier. I have a Detective buddy who won't promote to Sergeant because the overtime is so lucrative at his level he will make about $170 this year. But with this pay comes higher expectations and standards and very little is tolerated.

You don't how true that statement is. I was adopted by them when I was 3 days old. He is huge with blond hair and blue eyes. he looks about as similar to me as Goodrum and a bodybuilder. I mean I probably couldn't have asked for a better family financially or morally but it ends there. I had a million friends growing up but only 2 or 3 my parents liked enough to have come over. A thing between my friends was if you got to go up to our cabin (in Running Springs, CA) then you were liked by my mom and you were "in". Only 2 friends were ever allowed to come up with us. It is probably why I rebelled so much and did some of the shit I did. Oh well, I turned out awesome in the long run ;)
Shit one more thing. My brother became an Eagle scout back in the mid 70's when being an Eagle Scout meant something and was harder than it is today. He got his picture taken in full color and had a full size "truck ad" (the largest area of a newspaper when unfolded) in the LA Times. To this day no one has even had that. And he got to meet Nixon too. He was a Junior or Senior in High School at the time. Hell he wanted to go to the Air Force Academy and they flew us out there to see the place. he had LOR's from the most important people around. It was a shoe-in. Then when he hit 6'6" tall he couldn't go. So he ended up taking a full ride to Humbolt State instead.

There are a lot of huge cops here but not across the board. Affirmative action insures that you have to take a lot of women and Asians. But prison guards are a whole different story. A bunch of prison guards were hanging out in front of the gym after their workout and as I was going in I asked if one of the requirements to be a prison guard is that you have to be 300lbs and bench at least 405lbs. One said, "Nah, you can be 275 lb as long as you can still bench at least 405."
Every prison guard I have met or seen had to be hovering near 300 lbs. Of course they are not ripped but they are not fat slobs. Just huge mofos. (This doesn't apply to the guards in the county jail. You don't get the hard core felons that you get at the State prison in Halawa.)

If you get on the force in some of the cushy cities outside the LAPD like Rancho Palos Verdes, Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach life is sweet. Those city are rich and flush with tax payer dollars so you make even more than LAPD and don't have to put up with the B.S, crime, and the liberal city council where the cop is always guilty until proven innocent.
I so wanted to be a cop in Rancho Palos Verdes. Beautiful filthy rich rural area over looking the Pacific where the most that happens are high school pranks and maybe a domestic here and there.

LOL @ "Po-Po".
I went to the Redondo Beach Jail for having expired tags on my Mustang. It was around lunch. At that jail they give you a menu for a deli down the street and you order what you want. It is pretty cool. There was a TV to watch and they gave you really good comic books. I was in there for just 4 or 5 hours and when my friends came to get me I didn't want to go because I was reading a good comic book.

My bro-in-law is a cop in southern cali and he does pretty well. Certain areas you can do well as the po-po
I think in Suffolks Co, NY starting salary is 60+, not including overtime. One could make a killing.
Also, in many prisons in Maryland, many of the DOC COs are women, thick big women or small and petite. And I've seen some female COs that were dimepieces, just straight 10s.

Not really. My brother was pro football material physically. In fact he had photo in SPorts Illustrated showing the size difference between him and a guy who played with him at only 5'6" 150. But, he had no heart and no killer instinct. He was the type of guy who would knock you down thne bend over to help you up while the back ran by. But, his attitude changed 180 degrees once he became a cop. Cops go to work like everyone else but that is the only similarity. They go to work to face 8+ hours of crime and shit. They don't get calls for good things. They get calls for bad things. They deal with killings, robbers, fights and every other shit that happens that people who even break the law call to fix. People wonder why cops go a little rougher at times, well its because they have no idea if that other person is going to shoot them or stab them. so being a cop is not even close to just a job. I personally think I would enjoy it just because I hate felons and I hate people who take advantage of the weak.

i always noticed the guys who look at it as more than a job always fall apart the fastest.....this job has the ability to consume your life very, very fast......
hell, its not unusally for me to walk into my kitchen at 3AM and see 3-4 deputies cooking lunch in there......

So say you pulled someone over for running a red light and you noticed a couple of vials in his gym bag. What would you do? From all appearances he just looks like your run of the mill juicing gym rat.

LOL @ Ronnie going out of his way to let everyone know he slacks off while working to the max and isn't afraid to show it.

ronnie made it look cool.
G_Thang, Wiggs....can one of you translate that clip for me, I couldn't understand a word he was saying ;D

Better yet, should a cop ever write a ticket for speeding when in most cases he himself/herself speeds while off duty?

A speeder is a danger to others. A juicer has no impact on anyone else.

You don't drink, don't do rec. drugs, don't dosteroids etc. Isn't that a Mr. goody two shoes Onlyme? How could you be so loud for him?

So should the off duty cop who speeds write a ticket for themselves because they are endangering society?

yeah they do, increased aggression and road rage, lifestyle, disposing of needles in trash, medical bills if they get infection and no insurance society has to pay for their treatment. etc etc.

that could be said about everything though.....hell just being any celled organism on the planet means you make waste....and waste is bad for the planet....therefore everything effects society in a negative way....not picking any side to the arguement....just saying..

Well either did he. But, I meant more like his 3.9 gpa, college grad, never been fired from a job, very reliable, all that kind of shit. When I was a kid I was known as a nut. I did some shit. I remember when our neighbor moved in. He was a fireman and his wife was a realtor. They had 2 kids. I was about 10 or so. I was across the street in the park chipping golf balls. My mom and dad were next door welcoming them to the neighborhood and shit. They were sitting in the front room. All windows on the front and they could see me. Well I was chipping and one got away. It bounced on the sidewalk and kept going. Ended up going right through one of the big windows. Glass everywhere and my dad yelling out the big hole.

That's why we have a thing called "police discretion"...
It just depends on the situation in its entirety.

My brother who is a retired cop....he worked in South Florida in the 80's and early 90's.....no it wasn't like Miami Vice, but he has a ton of awesome stories.... one really bad thing, which I'm sure bench will agree with, is that almost all cops have a really negative and suspicious opinion of people...like my brother says, you were lied to all day, every day, and dealt with people at their worst. Thankless job.

It's kind of weird, but when I worked the streets, I was lied to about everything when dealing with street thugs. I've arrested at least 2 guys with crack in their pants pocket who told me they slept over at a friends and accidently put their pants on that morning. 1 guy had a bag of rocks in his socks, and told me they were not his socks... Caught another guy who had climbed 10 ft up the side of a Bill Miller BBQ place, broke out and crawled through a small window to gain entry. When caught inside, with cash from the register in his pockets and the place had obviously been ransacked, he said it was an elaborate fraternity joke, he was blindfolded and put in there by his buddies.. we begged him to tell the story in detail, to the judge.
But when I am off duty, I hope for the best in people and tend to give people the benefit of the doubt. I realized early on that working night shift, in the "bad" part of town, I was meeting mostly gang bangers and drug dealers at 2am and not the good folks. We arrested the same people over and over again, which might give the impression there were a lot of bad guys, but in fact, it was the same shits over and over. I do know some cops who bring their work home and those are the ones that only make it 10 yrs after retirement and die from a heart attack. Most of the cops I work with these days leave it at the job and don't even talk about it when we are off duty. I want to live a long time and enjoy the awesome retirement benefits.
