Morally
Economically
Culturally
Today it was reported that housing foreclosures are up 25% from last year for the month of Aug. :-X
It was also reported that 43 million Americans or 14.3% of Americans are below the poverty line. The highest since 1994.
I don't need to go into the slew of other problems we face as we debate them constantly.
I will say that how this ends or whatever choices we make i.e. the people we vote into office will have a larger than normal impact.
We are pretty fucked up right now...But this beautiful country will bounce back and be better than ever....
P.S. Don't need a spiele about how we aren't really poor....Everything is relative so fuck off.
Morally we need to go much more conservative....wanna know why? Turn on your television.
Culturally, we need to always have our (America's) interests in hand...Preserving our way of life, our principles and what we stand for. By assimilating and I don't mean dying your hair blonde and getting blue contacts. You can preserve your heritage but we are asking,...no we are telling you that you must abide by our customs and courtesies.
Economically,
Cut taxes for small businesses
Cut taxes for the middle class or anyone making under $500,000 (better than the 250k)
Continue fighting for additional health care reform.
Severe tax breaks for companies that build things here....I call it the "MADE IN AMERICA" initiative. I don't mean some slimy bullshit like making a door in the U.S. and the rest of the car in Mexico and saying techinically it was made in America....ALL OF IT needs to be made here.
Limit the length of time members can serve in Congress and the Senate.
Political reform - Lobbyist and special interest groups no longer allowed to give to political candidates in addition to other political reform.
Education system reform.....SEVERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! The name of this game is VOUCHERS.
If you are FAT as fuck smoke or have some other self induced disorder it's gonna affect you...expect higher premiums....MUCH HIGHER...
A task force must be created to crack down on illegal immigrants...How will we do this? A national ID card will replace all forms of ID. It is scannable if you don't have one, you can't buy shit, go to a hospital (non-emergency) get housing or work...Simple as that. You cut off all this stuff, people will leave. Anyone found to be aiding or abetting illegals will be fined and or jailed.
Military service is now mandatory for EVERYONE at the age of 18 for two years....EVEN the rich or soon to be rich aka athletes.
Leave it up to states to legalize MJ. BUT MJ will be decriminalized by the feds.
Build real walls or whatever the fuck to protect our boarders and increase the manpower.
Banking and Wallstreet reform...White collar crime will have the same penalties as other crimes...Expect alot more jailtime and fines....The rich peoples days of getting rich through scheming are over...
Alternative energy sources SEVERE tax breaks eventually getting away from big oil...fuck big oil and all those in charge.
Stiffer penalities for drug dealers cocaine = same as crack.
Establish English as the national language of the U.S.
Reform for people that want to go to college, undergrad, graduate and post grad school so they aren't in debt for the next 30 years.
No big government lots of cuts.
Personal responsibility will be America's new mantra....We will no longer continue down the road of being a welfare state.
God Bless America
Wiggs Approved....BTW no I'm not high....discuss.

You were doing so well, but legalize MJ and stiffen penalties for drugs?? Complete contradiction. Coke is no worse than MJ in my opinion so leave out the arbitrary rationalization.
-
Fucking amen wiggs.
Except the whole legalize pot/stiffer penalties for coke. Theyre both mind altering substances and they both have their good users and their bad... yes you dont see it as much with weed but its just the same.
-
That reads like the wish list of all wish lists. Admit to the corruptions and failures of George Bush, And you'd start making some progress. Corruption is the issue regardless of outcome.
this guy makes you think a little.

This world is going to shit.

Common sense as well I got friends that smoke weed and friends that do coke. I don't let my coke friends in my house if there's anything around that has resale values. I won't let my weed friends come over if there's anything around resembling baked goods.
-

lol ! So true...
-
I'm overhere right now, There is no coming back from this for you guys, not for main street, the type of jobs folks on Main street would do get done in China,or some other third world shi t hole Obama will have to re think capitalism and the version he inherited for the US to recover and that isn't going to happen with governments being influenced by big business who is the only real beneficiary of the current strategy.

Bullshit.
Coke is a stupid drug.
I have seen absolute nobodies act like they were special on coke. It makes you feel like you are worth something when you're a pathetic loser. Too bad eventually every trip ends and then you're still the scumbag you have been before.
For me, the best drug is success. You cannot buy it, the trip may be short, may be long, but it builds up over a very long time and the trips get better every time. There are no bad side effects, but it's addicting as hell.
-
Gentlemen, let us not talk about our differences. The weed matter is a minor one. Let us discuss our similarities...and yes, now I'm high...BTW Coach sir, I'd like you to chime in here please. I've been feeling really conservative lately with shit fallen apart and all.

I'm no advocate of coke read what I said their fucking sketchy ass carriers of STD's.
Success is drug. Hmm no consequences. What about repetitive strain injuries, the rampant amount of stress related illnesses, the lack of morals people driven by success have, or the fact successful people are full of shit and miserable.

Drugs are drugs. Different highs impact different people differently. Neither one is 'good for you' dont kid yourself, and its not about health anyway as long as tobacco and alcohol are legal. There are tons and tons of people who like to take the weekend in vegas do a bunch of coke and party for three straight days before returning home to their normal lives/jobs/families etc. Then there are people who smoke pot all day everyday. Neither is better, its just preference.

Wow. This post is spot on.
Finally someone turns to conservatism & they see the light.
As a strong conservative I'm happy to read this shit.

I think this whole lib/conservative thing will be settled on the Olympia stage once and for all.

Economically,
Cut taxes for small businesses Agree
Cut taxes for the middle class or anyone making under $500,000 (better than the 250k) somewhat agree
Continue fighting for additional health care reform. agree
Severe tax breaks for companies that build things here....I call it the "MADE IN AMERICA" initiative. I don't mean some slimy bullshit like making a door in the U.S. and the rest of the car in Mexico and saying techinically it was made in America....ALL OF IT needs to be made here. agree
Limit the length of time members can serve in Congress and the Senate. dunno enough about it to comment
Political reform - Lobbyist and special interest groups no longer allowed to give to political candidates in addition to other political reform. dunno enough about it to comment
Education system reform.....SEVERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! The name of this game is VOUCHERS. What do you mean by vouchers?
If you are FAT as fuck smoke or have some other self induced disorder it's gonna affect you...expect higher premiums....MUCH HIGHER...Agree to an extent, somethings need to be worked out
A task force must be created to crack down on illegal immigrants...How will we do this? A national ID card will replace all forms of ID. It is scannable if you don't have one, you can't buy shit, go to a hospital (non-emergency) get housing or work...Simple as that. You cut off all this stuff, people will leave. Anyone found to be aiding or abetting illegals will be fined and or jailed. Agree, but since I legally immigrated from a country that has a national ID you have to be VERY careful how you set up the system
Military service is now mandatory for EVERYONE at the age of 18 for two years....EVEN the rich or soon to be rich aka athletes. Disagree - one of the greatest thing about this country is having a choice, I immigrated from a country that makes it mandatory and its a pain in the ass, unorganized, and corrupt
Leave it up to states to legalize MJ. BUT MJ will be decriminalized by the feds. Agree - and I've never smoked in my life, your body your choice, hell even TAX THE SHIT OUT OF IT, and man you put an end to this recession
Build real walls or whatever the fuck to protect our boarders and increase the manpower. Agree
Banking and Wallstreet reform...White collar crime will have the same penalties as other crimes...Expect alot more jailtime and fines....The rich peoples days of getting rich through scheming are over... Agree
Alternative energy sources SEVERE tax breaks eventually getting away from big oil...fuck big oil and all those in charge. Agree
Stiffer penalities for drug dealers cocaine = same as crack. Agree but yeah contradicts the MJ argument LOL
Establish English as the national language of the U.S. Agree.... again though many countries abroad have two languages... go to egypt, street signs are written in Arabic AND English (Arabic is the national language)
Reform for people that want to go to college, undergrad, graduate and post grad school so they aren't in debt for the next 30 years. Agree.. but dunno how it will be done
No big government lots of cuts. disagree - there's a lot worst shit out there
Personal responsibility will be America's new mantra....We will no longer continue down the road of being a welfare state.

I agree with the first part of the post because I think everyone under the age of 22 is a liberal. They all want great social reform & programs until they graduate college & get real jobs & see how much liberalism actually costs when uncle Sam takes a nasty flesh wound in your paycheck.
-
You were doing so well, but legalize MJ and stiffen penalties for drugs?? Complete contradiction. Coke is no worse than MJ in my opinion so leave out the arbitrary rationalization.
MJ users should be given raises. Coke and speed users should be ground into meat paste and sold as animal feed.

I think i misunderstood the message of your post. I think your were talking about druggies who are willing to do any drug on the table, in that aspect then I agree with you that any drug is a drug. But comparing like a recretional MJ user vs a recretional coke user is apples and oranges.

I think this whole lib/conservative thing will be settled on the Olympia stage once and for all.
Thanks for getting us back on the real important stuff that's going on in the world!! ;D ;D

Perhaps, but I still dont see the point of criminalizing recreational drug use in general. Personally, I havent used any drugs in a long long time, but Id much sooner go to vegas with 2 balls of coke, party all night long, blowing lines with some skanks, stay up and go straight to a pool party or something on sunday and finally crash on a plane home at 10pm sunday night, then sit around smoking blunts and playing vidoe games. But in either scenario, im hurting no one but myself.
And ill go one step further. I dont care if you want to be a dope junkie and shoot heroin everyday. As long as you can function in society its no business of mine. However, if you have to steal etc to support your habbit, then u got straight to jail. And if you test positive for ANY drug, no government assistance of anykind, and that includes weed. The problem in this country is that we dont want to punish dope heads, rather we foot the bill for rehab and methadone, meanwhile, we prosecute the guys growing weed and importing HGH. Because those people can be robbed by the system as they have assets to steal, whereas the junkie does not.

I think that's a common misconception. I think Francois Guisot is the real answer.

Thank God there's only about 48 more days. BTW Lundgren, as much as liberals hate to say it, the "blame Bush" is exhausting to listen to especially since it was Oshithead and his band of idiots made it a 1000000000x's worse. Shit got old along time ago!

1) This was said about those who aided and abetted slaves, over 100 yrs ago.
2)Who the hell am i gonna fight, lets face it, all the wars after WWII have been booty wars that we needed to not be in. The real fight should be here on home soil, and the real invasion, is drugs, greed, foreign ass cheap products, and illegals...America has gotten addicted to cheap ass products, whose quality is as low as the price

Really, who would you suggest, America has been going down hill way before Obama, the baby boomer generation is responsible to this idiotic downhill swing...Me, Me, Me...my Happiness, eff the kids, etc

No...not "way" before Obama. Bush fucked about the 2-3 months before the end of his term. Like I said before, instead of stopping the bleeding he made it a 100000000x's worse.

Yes, way waaaaaay...We've been on this slide long before...ya'll mofos just enjoyed being in the playground and couldn't see that recess had ended. The signs were constantly on wall. The big thee auto makers kept producing crap while Japan study the market and made quality economical cars, yrs later, GM and FORD was still trying to keep up, but they had been producing good stuff over seas. Now, a bail out for them, and now they finally bring that good shit over here.
Japan became a electronics king, Walkman,Discman, TVs, etc, while American firms and corps floundered, nobody said shit. Now most of drive foreign cars and most of us have foreign electronics and goods in our houses...nobody said shit about why America firms and corps weren't producin, nor trying to help, you guys drop the damn ball...don't give bullets to someone's gun, then complain that the person shot you...Aeerica is a reactionary country, not a proactive country. And the one's in charge counted on people like you to continue on the bullshit path of hedonism and Me, Me, Me, and now ya'll mofs get upset.
It's kinda like a disobedient child, you don't wait till he is 11 to start disciplining him, it's too late, you do it when they are younger...So, when the problems had started surfacing, you note it and curb it, the generation before X and Y didn't do that...

LOL!! Actually you are right, but i figuered nobody here would realize an 18th century french philosopher so i didn't bother.
It goes by Churchill, that's enough for the average american. ;D ;D ;D

Obama has don anything, besides gives speachs, and the baiolout. The bailout would of happened regardless who's in office. Regardless until people see how they fucked up in the past their not gonna improve. I ain't no fucking liberal btw. It's these character attacks on a guy just because of bush guilt that gets to me .
If american's can't understand how basic mistakes like the iraq war fucked a country they got no where to start in recovery. America has alot of potential, being conservative is one of their assets. If they can get their people to save money, get these unions out of the way so they can start putting in cheap industry, and if shred military spending. Ron Paul should of been prez IMO.

Exactly. As if McCain would have told the banks, Fanny, Freddy and AIG to go fuck themselves. ::) He got paid by them too, so he would have bent over for them just the same. People that look at this from a fixed denomination are simpletons.

Well bail out where a global issues. Even canada had a stimulus package, when were we best off banking wise, and the media wasn't, they were watching this shit 24/7 scaring the living piss out of investors. People seem not to realize how much announcement of the bailout stabilized markets. But again Obama is not worth talking about he did nothing good or bad, he's very forgettable. Bush's legacy however will be written in text books for the rest of the century.
-
One thing I forgot is we will re-evaluate who we give money to and for what reasons...
i.e. Israel getting shitloads of money every year since forever....FUCK THAT and other country that freeloads from us...We will re-evaluate our position on the Israel/Palestinian conflict. I'm not saying were quitting I'm saying we are thinking about stepping back and keeping our nose out of it unless there is an emergency.
Parker, so what they said it about slaves 100+ years ago that's how things were. It's the right thing to do any fucker that breaks that law is looking at some serious jail time and if they're rich, lets just say they'll have a helluva fine and will be used as an example.
Lots of other countries have mandatory military service and don't get involved in our wars...There are tons of non combat positions....this is a good thing.
-
I worked in the mortgage industry from 01 to 05 and even that far back I was saying what was going to happen to the housing market eventually. We were giving loans to people that would have been laughed at previously because the standards kept getting lower and lower....being set by the lenders of course.....and they KNEW what would happen eventually....so they just rode it until it blew up and then went to the govt with their hands out.....and all political parties are at least partly at fault for it.

but i add:
-create a license that allow you to have children, i mean several test about general culture, behaviour, valeur, economical statut etc, to stop the proliferation of human parasite.
-don't let muslim invade your country, and for legal muslim immigrant control them.
-personnal responsability, sense of valor should be new mantra...

That reads like the wish list of all wish lists. Admit to the corruptions and failures of George Bush, And you'd start making some progress. Corruption is the issue regardless of outcome.
this guy makes you think a little.
i wondered when somone would blame George Bush.. you are naive to think George Bush started all this crap.
Wiggs= On the right track.. You sound like a Tea Party member... Good for you...

i always found it weird that these black people were driving in the biggest cars to kfc. is that also got to do with it showstoppa?

So if your dad blows 100 k of your households money on guns you see no issue with this. The problem isn't in it's self what bush did. It's that you guys can't see how fucked up what he did was. He invaded iraq for no reason, costed a trillion dollars. Other bad things will happen this century but this one act alone will go down in the history books as the straw that broke the camels back. For the record I vote conservative up here in canada, atleast at the moment.

I agree with the first part of the post because I think everyone under the age of 22 is a liberal. They all want great social reform & programs until they graduate college & get real jobs & see how much liberalism actually costs when uncle Sam takes a nasty flesh wound in your paycheck.
You think wrong. I've worked since I was 15 yr old and I was a Republican by 18. I learned early that liberalism is a nasty disease. George Bush wasn't the best president, but he was definitely better than Obama for sure :P

Why does being conservative mean you favour a Amry that's 4.7 percent of your gdp. You think nearly 4 cents on the dollar isn't an issue? This is big goverment at it's worst. Cut military spending in half and you got the stimulus money back in 4 one presidency.

FYI relative to our population canada has spend about 300 billion in stimulus. We have a conservative Prime minister. Our banking industry was uneffected by the 2008 crisis, and we were the only same bet for investors at the time. You honeslty think Mccain would of provided less? You guys were edging very close to default and you can't even see it.

Hey hoser, how about if you're not American , your opinion on issues in America doesn't matter. You don't pay taxes here, you don't vote here, so fuck off.
As for the rest of us, no matter what side you're on , STOP BLAMING FUCKING BUSH ALREADY!!! IT'S BEEN 20 MONTHS AND IT'S GOTTEN WORSE!!!

You dont know what is going on here sitting up in canada.
How fucking stupid can you be?
Youre sitting here trying to argue with people living here. I think we might have a little better idea whats going on in our country than you do. lol.

For sure. Instead of putting money away for college, paying they bills on time, etc....it's much preferred to just get some gold teef, 50 or so shitty tats that nobody can see and a cell phone with a $500 bill each month to call "ole girsl" and "babys mama's"..... ;D

This tends to be the M.O. of most corps, and companies these days...dealing with trends from music to cars...ride out, and what is happening to America---ride that bitch till she is broke and gaping.

Exactly and then send a team of lawyer to Washington to explaining how they need a bail out......WTF? And play all the scare tactics on what will happen if we don't do a bailout and the media just eats it up because it's "scary news" that they can plug all day so that you "tune in at 6pm to get the story......"

I couldn't agree more. I'm not a Bush nut hugger or hater.
But after 20 months I think it's time to stop using the name Bush altogether.
When is the right time when Obama steps up and starts taking responsibility for his own presidency? Do we have to wait 6, 12, 18 more months ??
-

What's he done won't be forgotten for another 20 years. It's like comparing stalin to Nikita Khrushchev(who?). Bush will overshadow him for years he's not memorable. Obama is useless, but he hasn't done anything. The bailout didn't count for shit.

Bush reacted on bad intelligence from the CIA and the Defense departments. I can say he didn't surround himself with smart people either. He did think he was doing the right thing on Iraq. I for one didn't think Saddam Hussein was as much of a threat to the U.S than an irritation. Bush did keep the U.S and some allies safe for 7 years after 9/11.... Sure, he was not a popular kind of President but I think history will redeem him somewhat as a good President. The Democrats, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid took over the Senate and the House and started much of the mess we have today so, to say Bush's fault is a bit naive. The housing markets were a direct affect of the Clinton Administration and Barney Frank. Blame should be dished our to all that hand a hand in it. Obama has been in office for 20 months and has a Democrat lead Senate and House but blames conservatives for not being able to get things done. If he really wanted too he could pass everything he deemed necessary, the problem is he doesn't want to be the one holding all the marbles when everything he does starts failing. He wants to be able to point to a few Conservatives and say " you voted for this too"... Pretty chicken shit if you ask me.

Are there things little fella?

Gents,
you all seem to be missing the point here.
The world (with a few notable exceptions - Brazil, India and to a lesser extend Germany) is coming out of an economic crisis that was caused by a financial crisis.
It is not an American problem alone.
History has shown that the type of crisis we find ourselves in is very different from a "normal" economic crisis - see Japan in the 90ies. In the past it has taken much longer to recover. The average is somewhere around 7 years, but this one will probably take longer.
We have become so used to a high-speed world that we do not have the patience anymore to wait until the problems are worked through. Even if our governments do everything right, it will take much more time than the people are willing to tolerate.
The housing crisis in the US makes the recovery even harder as people have become less mobile - if you can't sell your house you can't move to where the jobs are.
Historically the mobility of its workforce has been a great strength which has helped America master recessions better than many other countries - but as mentioned it doesn't work this time around.
So one measure the government could take is helping people get out of mortgages that are greater than the value of their houses, but that will take a lot of time - much longer than an election cycle, because if the measures are too drastic or too fast the write-offs the lenders will have to take would throw us back into a financial crisis and we'd be back at square one (or September 2008).
Being in an election year is definitely not helpful for the US as politicians on both sides of the aisle are focused on getting votes rather than solving problems, and recent primary results have shown that "farming unhappiness" is a good way to get votes in the short term.
No matter what time, no matter what country, in a crisis people tend to vote for the politicians that shout the loudest about the problems, not the ones that offer solutions.
All the topics that seem to dominate the news (immigration, crime, tax cuts, health care, bringing troupes home and so on) are distractions designed to win points in the election.
Politicians have no incentives to fix the fundamental economic problems, because their solution takes so much time that they are likely not to be in office anymore by the time the measures show real results. (again look at Japan in the 90-ies as a case study).
So let's hope that Brazil, India, and a few other countries that did not slip into the crisis (many of them in Latin America, some in Africa, some in Asia) will grow fast enough to bail the rest of the world out.
Don't bank on China though - that could very well be the next bubble to burst. It is a planned economy without democracy and it is gaining complexity at a speed that will soon be too much for the bureaucrats in Beijing to handle. Also the social imbalances in China are too big to not cause some sort of problems, be it a revolution, a civil war or whatever.
-
Gotta love all these guys who openly demand a smaller government, yet... they want every person in the country age 18 to serve in the military.
;D
That is called an oxymoron.
-

I agree there's loads of blame to go around. Acting on bad intelligence is a weak excuse. When the un was against the war. You ask people from lthe region and they will tell you it was an awful idea. About 10 guys made the decision to go and it don't help that one was linked to nixon, the other haliburton. If america cut it's self off from it's fucked up past it'd do much better imho. Bush made saying he acted on bad intel is like saying hitler acted on flawed beliefs.
-
The way I see it is that America, economically, has been a conglomerate of power sources (elites) for a while. The inmense majority of the population has no real say in how the country is run. At all. While a handfull of very powerfull men get to dictate what is done with the government's money and how it is REALLY spent.
What I think is happening now is that, although, previously, these power sources were able to find some common ground and make decisions that benefited all Americans (of course, they get the majority of the cake, but we'd get some too), now there seems to be some disent, some confrontation of interests amongst these power sources, and the ones who suffer are all those Americans who are not within this priviledged group of people (who amass 85-90% of the country's riches by the way).
-

One thing though, is the UN gave the ok for the war in Iraq. Bad intelligence is not an Excuse just part of the problem. I for one didn't think we should go into Iraq at that time or not until we finished the job in Afghanistan. We are still pounding sand trying to find the mastermind behind 9/11.. I think that is a crock.. We should have found him already and it should have been his neck swinging from the noose, not Saddam Hussein... Also, don't link Bush and Hitler, that is a very bad analogy. Hitler was a the Anti-Christ. Bush had good intentions for everyone, he just couldn't get the left leaning maggots to help him do what needed to be done..

Hitler is the anti christ that formed the last century. Bush is the dumbass that invaded a country when he knew nothing about it. NOTHING!!!. Because he listened to a select corrupt few. Sure it was 50 percent bad intel and 50 percent corruption, that got us there. Regardless it's a trillion dollar fuck up that's fucked the lives of 30 million people for decades. Can you name anyone in that categorie.
