Title: Adonis--Question (Others Feel Free To get in also)
Post by: disturbia on September 25, 2010, 01:48:09 PM
we are roughly the same height, Im maybe an inch taller.
You are 156 pounds. You stated that I would weigh the same as you or less  ::) in order to be very lean.
OK lets look at the math. When I started this weight loss thing, I was 278 pounds. I went to a fitness place and had my bodyfat done and was told it was  27%. Some people on here said higher so for rounding out sake lets say 30%. I had not lifted weights in AGES when I got back on the program.

So, lets factor in the fact that I must have to put some muscle weight back on as I am lifting heavy in the gym again, going hard.

I want to know how you come up with me losing over 120 pounds while putting back on the muscle I had lost while not weight training.  In no way shape or form can I come up with me being 156 pounds, ever. By the math, I'd have to be dead and decompose to reach that weight.

I am actually seriously asking this, not fuking around. I completely dont understand how you can figure this.

old pics I havent tossed any up lately

one big factor (I think but have absolutely zero idea) is that I have pulled 6 inches off my waist according to the tape measure while arms, chest, quads, calves have actually gone up, although very small amounts

Plus when you start getting super lean you start to lose muscle... its natural...  not saying you'll be exactly that weight but sometimes you just end up lighter than you think you would....

If you are 278 at 30% bf and say you wanna get down to 3%, ideally with no muscle loss you would lose 75 lbs

278 X 0.27 = 75 lbs

275-75 = 203 at 3% bf

but we dont live in an ideal world and you are bound to lose some muscle so say you'd be 180-190 at 3%  ;)

3% is incredibly low. Adonis is lean, but no where close to 3 %.

Everyone ALWAYS overestimates how much they will weigh when they are dieted down.
That said, to be in the kind of shape TA is in I'd say you'd land in the 180s.

Wasn't talking about Adonis, was talking about Disturbia and if he really made it down to 3%

As I said its not an ideal world, so it would be VERY hard to truly get down to 3% - this was just for example sake!

What are you,

5"10? around there?

You're looking at being around 175 - 180 with abs.

Currently holding a lot more fat than you realise.

EVERYBODY (at least natural guys) has to lose more weight than first imagined to look "ripped"

You're not really going for 3%?  10% would be a great healthy and very lean goal I would think.

The 278 is with relatively no recent training. Which means he could get to 20% bodyfat and under and still put on some muscle. Since he was in shape years ago, his body will have some sort of rebound effect. My guess is he could be around 205-210 at 10%ish bodyfat.  I'd say adonis is around 7 or 8%. For disturbia to get into any kind of contest shape 5-6%. I'd say he would be in the light heavy weight range. 190ish with min/hormones. 180ish natural

It's crazy, you may see the outline of abs at 210lbs, but then have to come down to 170 for them to be fully visible.

It sucks, but once you get there it's like no other feeling. Being in shape for the first time in your life.

Just remember, If you keep doing what you're doing, you'll never get anything more than you currently have...

Meaning you'll wake up in a years time STILL overweight. Do you really want that?

Not according to Adonis.

Remember when he first started spouting off about the Adonis Principles?  And when he claimed to have found the formula that tells you exactly how many calories you need to eat per day?

He claimed that if you lifted weights and ate the minimum amount of protein literally every ounce of weight loss was fat.

As you regain previous muscle via muscle memory, and lose fat while doing so,your simply changing body composition.

I`d say that in time you could be 190-205 at 10-12% bf............maybe not by your deadline, but in time.

Just my opinion, but we have all see the transformation/before & after pics of a fat 185 lb. guy who still weighs 185 lbs. after losing a shitload of bodyfat...........he changed his body composition, not his bodyweight.

I weighed 260 at 5'10" at one time then started training and dieting pretty hard.  I went from 32% BF to +-16% depending on water and time of day I measured.  My weight went down to the lowest of 175 and I still did not see abs, still had love handles.  Not as bad but they were still there.  I used to think I would look like an aids patient at a sub 200 weight but I was looking good but still fat.  Then Mr. test enanthate came a knocking and I got to 200lbs at 13%.  Still no abs...lol....but very fucking close.  It's amazing how much fat is on us.  We just get used to seeing ourselves that way.  By the way I am fat again at 210 probably 25%. next week I start again drug free.

No.  Layne is not in that range actually.  A bit less.  Disturbia is no Layne and Layne has large doofus bones.  I can`t tell what kind of structure Disturbia has as he needs to lose over 100 lbs.

He is in denial since his whole persona has been built on being a fat ass and maintaining it.

Hate to dissapoint you sweetie, but I do squat a lot and have squatted more weight than you ever have (470 for one rep ass to floor when I was a Permabulker).  Furthermore, even right now I ass to ground squat more than you can.

Your waist is huge right now, you should be able to squat a lot as a result.  But......you can`t.  That oughta tell you something...

As many of you know, I've spend the last 6 months preparing for my first natural pro show, the IFPA International. The show was this past weekend and went extremely well. I weighed in at 196.7 on friday, putting me in the heavyweight class along with 6 other competitors with a total of 6 competitors in the lightweight class (13 pros total)

Also keep in mind that this is contest conditioning. You are not contest conditioning at your weight.

Myself i was 230 at 10-12% a while ago but at 6'3. If i was to go down lower to say 5% i would probably be around 210-215.

Not really.  I have been all sizes by choice.  I have been up to 245 lbs and back all the way down about 3 times just for fun.

Now, I stay within 5-10 lbs of being insanely ripped.  I really should post a picture soon as I am way leaner than any pic that I have ever posted before.

AJAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAHAHA 445 for 10 below parallel and 595 for a single with MULTIPLE  witnesses (obv a long time ago but still did it)

try again twink

I can still do 3 plates aside for 11 below parallel which isnt much at all but I will get it back as time goes

Adonis, dotn kid yourself, I was very strong and am getting strong again. Ive only been back lifting 2 months

so take your twinky 470 and go play in another sandbox

actually a member on here (WAWY) has seen me do the 445 for 10 so feel free to ask

I am in a contest condition right now as we speak at around 156 lbs.  This is the lowest I have ever been. For reference, the Mr. Getbig pictures (which I was fat in) were taken at 174-176.  Thats some perspective.

I have glute striations right now.

Layne was close to 197 lbs when he competed at the IFPA show last week.

He has large Doofus bones as I stated before.  Nigerian black men have similar structures and can accomdiate more weight which is not always a good thing.  That would be the the antithesis of someone like Flex Wheeler any other with a small frame.  He ranges from 185-195.  Looks best at 185 in my opinion.

Agreed.  This is shattering your own self image as you are finally getting "it" that you need to lose over 100 lbs and then some.

You of course will NEVER do it, so its really a worthless thread on you part to even start.

I don`t think so.  From the pics I have seen, he wasn`t as lean as he has been in the past.  A good 7-10 lbs away from his best ever conditioning.

Don`t ask stupid questions then such as starting this thread.  You want to look like the average overweight supermarket stocker is fine.  I`d rather look like a ripped Cancer Patient/confederate Prisoner, but that is just my opinion and preference.  Plus I like the health benefits of low bodyfat and Calorie restriction.

Look around you. Anyone can be fatlike you.  It takes nothing to do so.  :D

Your math is correct, but how much body fat that he has on him is irrelevant. Whether he is 203 lean body mass with 7 pounds of fat or he is 203 lbm with 50lbs of fat, he is still 203 lbn, get it? For Adam to say that he has to get down to 150's to be a 3% is illogical. That would mean that he is holding an extra 50 pounds of muscle simply because he is fat? This would mean that the fatter we get the more muscle we hold?  There is no logical reason he needs to lose another 50 pounds of muscle to just to get to 3%. A well thought out diet plan can put him at 215 and very lean.

There are no health benefits for having a very low bodyfat level or calorie restriction. Of course it all depends on what your definition of BF % is healthier and how much calorie restriction that you are specifically talking about.

uh, and you call yourself a "nutritionist".   Please Google CRON diet or calorie restriction optimum nutrition.

The health benefits are too numerous to list, especially for living a lifetime cancer free and heart disease free- the two major killers.  Also this method is proven for extending lifespans across the board for all organism.

::) There is no evidence that restricting calories will allow you to live longer. Now, I will agree that you may be healthier or even feel better at a lower percentage of BF, but I also am of the opinion that a person who does not eat at McDonald's every day will feel better too, you obvisouly do not.
