Gents, it's that time. Today I bought my stone. The specs on it are great, BUT it has a medium blue florescence.
Anyone with experience here? Thoughts?

If you saved the receipt, take it back to the store.
Invest 90% of the money in foreign currency and precious metals, and the other 10% in coke and whores.

if the grading is great like you said it wont be blue. the colour guides start at clear, and go to yellow. i just bought a 1 carat in july. should be no blue. clear to yellow, clear being the best, yellows being the worse.

It’s just marketing. The whole “A Diamond is Forever” and the idea of a diamond engagement ring is not an ancient tradition to be revered and followed. It is Sprite’s “Obey Your Thirst.” It is Nike’s “Just Do It.” It is Gary Dahl’s “Pet Rock.” Not only did De Beers understand it had to control supply (buying up and closing down any diamond mine discovered), they had to control demand. They had to make it sentimental. And Americans were the perfect suckers. They targeted the US specifically for our marketability. This campaign is less than 70 years old yet has become so ingrained in our culture that the diamond engagement ring has become the ultimate symbol of how much the relationship, the girl, and love itself is worth.
Diamonds aren’t rare. Fine, using marketing tactics can’t be blamed since that’s part of the game of capitalism. But another part of the game is competition. It’s all well and good if marketers can convince consumers to buy them instead of the competition based on a nice slogan, but the competition should be there to protect the consumer. All gems are valued based on their rarity (as are most things in life). But diamonds are abundant. De Beers has a huge vault where they keep most of the world’s supply of diamonds. If it ever got released into the market, the way it would be if they weren’t a monopoly, diamonds would be worth nothing. It’s literally a pretty rock.
Diamonds have no resale value. The reason a “diamond is forever” is because you’re basically stuck with it. You’ll never be able to resell it except to a pawn shop. Even a jeweler (the few who would be willing to buy it) would offer a fraction of what you paid.
Synthetic diamonds will flood the market. Synthetic or “cultured” diamonds are already being made and within the next few years, will be efficiently made for the mass market. These are real diamonds. They are made in a machine that replicates the environmental forces that make diamonds. The only difference is that they’re better. They have less flaws. And they cost a fraction of the going rate. Want a 2-carat pink diamond? That’ll be a few thousand dollars.
Moissanite looks just like a diamond. Jewelers had to upgrade their equipment to detect Moissanite from diamonds when it came into the market. It’s undetectable with the naked eye. And it’s actually more brilliant. A 1-carat ring is under $1000.

It's GIA certified. And yes, you can have excellent grades, i.e. color, clarity, cut, and still have fluorescence.
You're confused a tad. Color is a different thing than fluorescence.

So we have to buy these women worthless crystal rock sold to us by greedy jews, and still take care of them for the rest of their lives? seems men are getting a raw deal :-\
-
Listen, i'm trying to get some opinions on fluorescence and diamonds. Quite clogging up the post.
Anyone have any thoughts with opinions and experience?
-
Study up on color, clarity, cut, and carat...your 4 C's of diamonds. A lot of the jewelry stores at the mall, etc. are allowed to go one grade BELOW what they LIST. So many times the color and clarity are not as good as they claim. Blue Nile is an online diamond store, that has pretty good pricing. I've never actually bought one from them, but they seem to be well recommended, and have customer service to help you through any decisions.
I think the key thing in picking out an engagement ring is to know what your woman wants. you need to know her "style", and pick the ring that she will be able to show off to her friends. mostly thats what women want to do witha nice ring anyways...show their friends and make them jealous, so if the ring doesnt do that for them, it will be a bit of a dissappointment for most women. Cost is another key factor that should be part of the 4 c's lol. Know your budget, and dont spend too much. Also, be sure to get it insured after purchasing it. the insurance is fairly cheap, and chances are it will be worth it in the long run.
Thanks for your input. I went with bluenile. Got a 1.20 carat, G color, VS2, Ideal cut. .... but has medium blue fluorescence. Sales lady said it will have absolutely zero impact. As long as it's not a strong blue or higher.
-
UFC was not around back then and they wanted some fun.
I would love to see something like that go down just for the pure horror. If he did something horrible that is lol.
-
Suckers! every damn one of you
-
I would recommend doing a lot of looking around before buying one. Where did youfind the one you are currently interested in?
keep in mind that if there are flaws in a round diamond, they are only visible from the side or bottom, but not from the top, so a lot of times the flaws in the clarity can be covered by the ring they are set in. A princess cut diamond is not quite as brilliant as a round, so you will have the most sparkle from a round if all other things are equal.
I bought the stone today. The cut is VS2 so it should be pretty much eye clean...so i'm not too worried about flaws. I will be taking the stone to a Tacori dealer to set in. The f'ing setting is almost half the price of the stone!

if it's for a woman, nothing less than 1.5 is the rule...
Man, I feel trapped, I don't want to fall into the gimmick, but if get engaged, my woman will be expecting a ring, and I can't afford for my woman to NOT be able to floss...
-
yea, the settings arent cheap. the whole marriage process aint cheap, but if you found the right girl i suppose its worth it.
good luck man
post a pic of the ring on here, so we can see what you picked out....setting + stone
When it's set, i will.

i know having a Zales card with a 5k limit and a woman in the household is a bad thing. :(

How does a fool get his money? And if he has a lot of money, how can he have a lot of money, if he is a fool, and a fool and his money are soon parted? A philosophical question.

that's right. you date men...so the natural instinct to play the gift giving game with women just never developed. or...do you show up at the door of a hairy, musky white boy with a box of candy and flowers? as newmom would say...creepy.

Think this answers your question:
http://www.diamondexpert.com/articles/color.html
When shopping for a diamond, check to see if it has fluorescence. If it does make sure that it is BLUE and not some other color. The last thing you want in a colorless diamond is a potentially interfering fluorescing background color such as yellow, green or orange, which might greatly detract from the stone's appearance. If the diamond has blue fluorescence, it probably won't be a factor in the stone's appearance UNLESS the intensity is strong or greater, and even then only infrequently is it a problem. Nevertheless, make sure you verify that there is no effect of fluorescence under all conditions of lighting - from bright sunlight to all types of artificial lighting.

x2 Bay had a topic about this a month back of his rings he got for him and his partner I think, they were gorgeous and didn't cost thousands of dollars like diamonds do.

Ah, yes. The fifth 'c.' Not many people know about that one. Very shrewd, my friend. ;D

it's quite easy for a fool to get money now days and before. All he has to do is show up to work manual labor or other crap job for a couple years and he has some money saved up. Spends all on girl he meets and there goes all the money he saved up.
Also Parker money is not always earned, many times it is inherited from family, also lottery very rarely, but you know how those people end up most of the time, so Bay's quote is perfectly fine.

I have several text books on diamonds. I looked at a 12 carat diamond with florescence and it had that 'gaslike' look. My advice is to compare your stone with another the same size but without that blue florescence. If you are happy with it then don't worry. You are buying pleasure and happiness via that ring.
The price you pay in retail shops is about twice what your stone is worth. If it came up for auction that is what it would fetch. If you have to sell it then you might get 1/3 of what you paid for it. If you aren't in a rush you can wait for an auction and buy then and have the stone reset in a ring of your choice.
Have a look at the Rapaport diamond prices. That is the industry standard for prices world wide.

How did you know? I was in NYC when I met her so it was more of a coincidence but yeah...how did you know?
-
So can anyone on here speak of my original fluorescence issue?
A GIA survey found that fluorescent diamonds were favored over non fluorescent diamonds in both the lower color range AND in the higher colors, (D, E, and F) which are usually discounted by the trade. Many years ago D-F colorless fluorescent diamonds were highly prized and referred to as "blue-white," but sales people abused the term by including any diamond with fluorescence. So, usage of "blue-white" was outlawed by US trade practice laws.
Discounting Fluorescent Diamonds
One may argue for discounting fluorescent diamonds, because the GIA lab grading lights actually emit a small amount of ultra violet light. Thus, fluorescent diamonds might be assigned a better color grade. It is difficult for graders to determine a diamond’s true body color with even a small amount of ultraviolet light in the mix. The counter-argument from the GIA Gem Trade Lab is that UV light is present in many viewing environments, so it follows that color should be graded in realistic lighting.
I just bought a GIA certified 3 stone ring from Jamesallen.com. I looked at bluenile and it does come highly recommended but the settings were limited for what I needed.
I wouldn't worry about the blue flouresence if it isnt overpowering. It's likely you won't even notice it.

I work in the diamond industry. Some good resource sites are:

BTW, the Jews got that shit held down like tent pegs. If yer gonna buy a diamond and want to get first hand info/advice, talk to a Jew dealer. Ignore the Paki's and dot Indians. They're all about pulling the wool over your eyes.

Spend no more than $200.
Chances are, you'll get divorce anyways.
My buddy just recently asked for his ring back, after being divorced for 3 years...and his ex wife is getting remarried.
You want to guess what she said?
haha
NO.
Of course. Don't be fooled by the "eternal" concept or "she's the one". Be smart, spend $200. Any girl worth having, wouldn't give a shit either way. Unless, she's a cock whore who shows off her ring to her friends. If you couldn't lock your finances or tell anyone you're getting married, would people even do this pointless thing? Answer, no.
Be a leader. Just say no..haha

Oh yeah, buy Canadian. Cleanest stones on the planet, highest quality, and they have an aura the ladies love. The whole pristine Arctic, Northern Lights thing.

just know the basic stuff. like her ring size, what color of gold she likes, and what style of rings. Shop around at a few places before buying anything.
I've been looking for a ring for my babe for about 2 months.. Educating myself on diamonds etc etc. She is low maintenance and I am paying cash so it's not about going into debt to impress anyone. After some ocassional shopping we learned she liked the 3 stone white gold, about a carat total weight with side stones. I didn't like the mark up and quality I was seeing at the local chain stores so I ventured online and eventually ended up at James Allen. So I ordered the ring about a week ago. That night she happened to have her laptop out and I casually suggested a site I heard about (James Allen) and she was looking at the rings. I was waiting for her to come across the one I had actually bought for her to see her reaction without her knowing I bought it. It played out a lot different in my head. The reality was she came to the ring right above the one that fit her every requirement that we had previously viewed, and settled on a friggin solataire that looked nothing like what we had been looking at. She went on and on about that ring. I steered her to the one I bought and she said it was beautiful, looked at it a minute, then went back to the other one. As this point I figured I better come clean, as I could still call and change the order in the morning... so I was busted. I told her I had already ordered it but if she really loved the other one I would swap it out. After looking at both of them she decided the one I picked out was better, the other was just unique and at the end of the day the design wouldnt be too practical to wear. But talk about something going a lot different than you planned on..

let's add Luxury cars, valet parking, most supplements, most protein powders, most gym memberships, any new car, any new motorcycle, watches over $20 (they can tell time as well as a $2000 watch), universal remotes over $10, Home stereos over $400, Matresses over $200 etc etc
The list is endless and in the end, it is what value you place on any one item. I personally could care less about a diamond, but the joy and memories it and the ocassion will bring her for years to come seems to be worth it for many folks.
-
Buying jewelry for someone can be tricky. My advice is to let the receiver choose the stones and setting. That way you know that is what she wants. Well, you hope she is fair dinkum.
If a ring has strong florescence it might be cheaper because it is less desirable. So be careful when selecting a gift that the receiver will own and wear for years and years.
I looked at a large diamond with florescence. The price was something like $225,000. By itself it looked fine. However, when the jeweler brought out a smaller but clearer stone the difference was huge and I thought that is what I would get.
Moissanite is a great alternative. You won't be able to see any difference with your eyes. Matter of fact you probably won't be able to see any flaws until the grade in diamonds is Pk. VSi or Very Small Inclusions is acceptable. G and H colour is what most engagement rings are because that is the sweet spot in diamonds considering all the qualities. Higher quality requires a 10X loupe of jeweler grade to inspect. You can buy these at jewelry supplies and a decent one cost about $100. You will keep this for decades so buy a good one.
A 1 carat diamond is about 1/4 inch across. That is a decent size and probably the smallest I would consider. .75 is almost as big so it depends what the bride to be would be satisfied with. 5 Carat stones are about 11mm across. Not quite half an inch. Going from 1 carat to 3 carats sees the size increase from 1/4 inch or 6.5 mm to about 3/8 inch or 9.4 mm. Adding more carats doesn't increase the size much after that. Somewhere between 1 and 2 carats will look impressive on any finger.

No, most of the items you listed (if not all) have a function and are practical..you use a car to drive far distances, get to work, etc. there is a tremendous difference between a huyndai and a mercedes. A diamond is for the most part worthless, it has industrial applications and is used in drill bits, diamond cutter's, grinding stones, etc. but for wearing in a ring is purely cosmetic and utterly useless.

What value has art, then? Or a beautiful woman? Diamonds became valuable when cutters were able to make them shine with brilliance and fire or colour. Moissanite has more brilliance and fire than a diamond. So in that regard it should be highly regarded. It has a hardness of 9.25 which is harder than rubies and sapphires. Diamond has a hardness of 10 but is 4 times harder than rubies. Moissanite is probably twice as hard as ruby.
That some stones are artificial shouldn't worry buyers. They still have the exact qualities of natural stones. That is not the same as simulants such as cubic zirconia that looks impressive but soon dulls when worn.
Those who buy art and jewelry are buying enjoyment and maybe prestige. Women compare ring sizes and a 1 carat diamond of good quality is something to cherish because most women do not own a stone that large.

Again art appreciates over time, especially when the artist is deceased, they are a somewhat stable investment.. diamonds are worthless once you buy them from a jewelery store, good luck getting more then 1/3 of what you paid for a shiny crystal back.
Most women if not all can buy a cubic zirconia that is identical to the naked eye for about 1/10th the price.

not true. Diamonds have no use at all other than to look at them. Those things you listed all can do or fuction as something. Spend the money you would spend on a diamond on a down payment on a house something you can use, not some useless piece of rock that you stare at, that whole it will create memories line is made up by the people who sell them to you.
-
No, most of the items you listed (if not all) have a function and are practical..you use a car to drive far distances, get to work, etc. there is a tremendous difference between a huyndai and a mercedes. A diamond is for the most part worthless, it has industrial applications and is used in drill bits, diamond cutter's, grinding stones, etc. but for wearing in a ring is purely cosmetic and utterly useless.
X2 what I just posted before I read your's 100% agree!

Every time a person compliments a woman because of her jewelry is worth something. A diamond might be overpriced but is hardly worthless. The truth is women guage their worth partly by gifts and possessions such as jewelry, cars, homes, etc. Like I said, how many here know a single person who owns a 1 carat or larger diamond? So they are not common.
There are only two people who need to know if a diamond is genuine or not. The giver and the person wearing it. I doubt anyone wearing a cubic zirconia will feel special.
Since a good price is hardly retail the object is to search around for a bargain. Just make sure the quality is good and a genuine article. You need to buy a text book on diamonds so you know what to look for and what to avoid.

I have this sale for anyone interested. 13.5 carats center stone 15 total carats.
Pink 5.20 cts VS2. GIA cert.

you have to ask yourself what kind of girl you are with that wants a diamond useless ring instead of something practical you both can use down the road in your marriage, car, down payment on house, big screen tv, whatever, something you can actually use.

Don't worry champ, when you and your life partner elope to Vermont, I'm sure he'll buy you a nice piece of topaz.

really seems a lot of men regret giving these rings, that have no use whatsoever, all this diamond talk by seemingly straight men knowing GIA whatever that is and carat shit sounds like a bunch of hens cackling to each other, not very masculine if you ask me.

No, men hunt and worked the fields. Didn't have time to play housewife and gather food. Women were needed to prep and cook the labor intensive food. Women did make the clan bigger, which is still sex.

LOL, that's EXACTLY what my wife said!!!! when we were talking about this.. I still got her a kickass rock, my friend owns a diamond mine in Africa and spends half the year in Toronto, brings back huge diamonds for smaller jewelers (he supplies them) he gave me an insane deal all I had to do was get the thing mounted on a ring. In Africa 1 carat stones go for a few hundred bucks..if that

I do have a $40 pillow... and I sleep like a baby every night now. Those $5 Dollar Store pillows just weren't cutting it. I don't spend much on clothes, cars, dining, etc... but a $40 pillow is well worth it. You spend about 1/3 of your life with your face pinned against it.

Bullshit. Diamond prices are pretty consistent wherever you go. Certified diamonds are a necessity nowadays. I would never think of buying from Africa. Might as well send my bank details to help those people out who have funds but need a foreign account to help them!
If you know someone in the industry you might get a bargain. If you don't know what they are worth retail and wholesale you won't know if you got a bargain or not.

who gives a shit about diamonds really! They are expensive only because the people mining them charge so much for them not because they are so rare.

Actually no, the sellers at the end (jewellers) jack the prices up, the mines sell it at very low prices, its tge law od retail, the midle man fucks you the hardest and makes the biggest cut..ask onlyme about his experience with walmart!

if it's for a woman, nothing less than 1.5 is the rule...
Man, I feel trapped, I don't want to fall into the gimmick, but if get engaged, my woman will be expecting a ring, and I can't afford for my woman to NOT be able to floss...
she is gonna clean her teeth with it?
-

Get another stone, tgat's what a lot of other nations do, in Europe it is common to get a ring with a small ruby in it..see what her response is, if she freaks and screams I WANT DIAMOND get the fuck out!
-
If you saved the receipt, take it back to the store.
Invest 90% of the money in foreign currency and precious metals, and the other 10% in coke and whores.
This..dude spending that sort of money on a stupid ring for a female is pointless , she proberly already fucked your best friend and father.
-
Gents, it's that time. Today I bought my stone. The specs on it are great, BUT it has a medium blue florescence.
Anyone with experience here? Thoughts?
gayest post ever

So I take it you shop at Walmart for all your clothes. Cause lets be honest,,, a $5 walmart shirt provides the same function as a $100 name brand shirt.
And addressing the function issue, what function do flowers serve yet women love to get them. The point isn't if the diamond is a good investment or not, it's about what it means to the person receiving it and it's up to them to place a value on it. Hell, half the stuff we have these days could be argued as a waste of money.
-

Guys who are married or enganged, how much did you spend on the ring? While I think diamonds are retarded, but if you meet a great girl and thats what she wants, what are you gonna do?
-
not true. Diamonds have no use at all other than to look at them. Those things you listed all can do or fuction as something.
"Diamonds have many uses. About 20% of diamonds found are used for jewelry. The other 80% are used in industry. These uses include: cutting tools, polishing hard metal, phonograph and videodisc needles, and bearings for laboratory instruments."
thinkquest.library.org
Also, they are used in RK surgery to precisely cut the cornea.
-
I love all the macho tough guys on GETBIG saying its stupid to get married and buy your lady a diamond ring LOL ;D
A lot of jaded opinions on here!

I've already addressed this in a previous post.. they are not the same quality or grade diamonds as ones used for jewelery, basically the industrial use ones are the ones they wouldn't be able to polish or sell or have other defects.

LOL, true..but in some cases (like mine) I ended up getting a $6000.00 stone for closer to $1500.00, the rock is still 2-3x the size and brilliance of any of her friends/cousins, and most of her friends are married or engaged so she can still pull the bling card if she ever wanted to, thankfully she doesn't really care about shit like that and literally said months before we got engaged not to get a big rock and use the money towards a big tv, so with my savings we ended up getting a huge rock and a 74" lcd for me :)
-

I think one of the cool experiences I had with shopping for the ring was at one store she liked a particular ring. There was no price tag and I didn't want to be obvious so I told the lady to write the ring information down so I can keep it in mind.. Well, she writes the ring info, diamond clarity etc etc and the price is $4,999. I'm thinking to myself, well, this ain't happening..
As we are walking out of the store my girlfriend says to me "I saw how much that ring is and I don't want you spending anything near that much for a ring"... I thought that was pretty cool...
-
On another note... for those of you who are married (and not macho by GETBIG standards) did you insure the engagement ring? And if so what company did you use?
I've been married for over 4 years and haven't gotten around to insuring it, but I'm getting very nervous now and would rather do it sooner rather than later!
-
This company is suppose to be the only BLOOD FREE diamonds around, so said kevin connolly from the show entourage

I called state farm as they have both my home and car policies and I was quoted about $120 a year

There is an insurance company that is well recommended and is on the bluenile site, jewel mutual or something like that... might get a qoute from them as well, they may have a more comprehensive policy.

That is easy to say. If you want a beautiful woman for yourself you are competing against lots of rivals. You have to pay the price and a diamond reflects on your resources and taste as much as it does on her attractiveness.
-

Vince, I don't think I would want the beautiful woman who picked me over other men because I bought her a bigger diamond. .. but that's just me. And prettier women don't always have the biggest diamonds.. just sayin
-

That isn't how it works. If you ARE in love with a beautiful woman then a big diamond is a small price to get her. Not saying she will demand it but she sure will be able to get offers if that is what she wants. Look at movie stars, etc. The size of a diamond says a lot to other women and that is very important to them.
I had a girlfriend who owned over $1,000,000 in jewelry. She wore a diamond over 11 carats. Nothing less that 10 good carats would please her. That might not be sufficient, either. You just can't please some women.

Good post.
Learned a ton. (Seriously)

its ubelievable what these whores can do for money.

yes they are willing to completely degrade and humiliate themselves for having the good life. i dont know if all women are like that when they get the chance.

its more original to give them one rose and its way cheaper than buying her a ring hahaha.
men giving their women a ring are doomed to fail. it shows they cant keep them if they are not buying these expensive cliches.

Money talks, Bullshit walks.
And I would love to be the eloquent bullshitter whose top priority would be to bang all those women, without giving up coin, behind their husbands backs. Remember, like Cassanova had said, "Just listen...", be that trusted confidante, with that wry smile, great body (which their men lack). Goal is to hit it, not keep it, because we know what keeps those women around. Your strengths are their weaknesses (many of these men have huge fragile egos, and are as ugly 2 day old molded frog shit, that's why they have money to compensate.). Money cannot buy a orgasm, but spending it is woman's most erotic pleasure.
-

Good pun, but for these men, especially the billionaires, the women represent material wealth and as such are merely, an assessory, a arm trinket. They may fuck them every once in awhile but are more concern with the business of making more money (greed), so that is where letting these women spend money at shops, boutiques, etc...completing a circle--she acquires material goods thru is wallet, he acquires her company and pussy on loan (or own), basically, "tricking" on another level. What's odd is nobody is really ever happy, always wanting more of what they have, and never happy...why do you think Naomi Campbell acts the way she does, and she is a millioniare with billionaire boyfriends? Because she is lonely.
If you think yourself seperate from whatever or who ever you are sqaubbling for attention, whether it be God, or wealth, then there is only you, if there is only you, then you are lonely.

Move this shit to the womans board ffs ::)

-

No, becuase the women there would say, "buy the biggest one you can, and her happiness and her friends envy, you will ensure."
when it is matters like these, men should discuss this without interference or inference from women. Have you ever notice that most women never tell you how to get the cooter, other than, "just be yourself.", there is a reason...

Congrats, Coltrane!
Hey thanks! The diamond ships tuesday, then i'll deliver that to the jeweler to set in the setting. I am excited as she is a wonderful girl.
It's funny to read all the dicks on here posting about how its silly to buy a ring etc... and how women suck etc.... you'd think they'd be happy for someone. Not everyone gets played or screwed over by women. AND some, just some, are really nice and worth marrying.

in reality, I am happy for you (I was listening to some Coltrane last night)...
But, you have to admit, the whole diamond thing is a gimmick...
A 20th century gimmick. But, if the foundation of your relationship is as solid as that diamond, then good for you.

Oh, it's crap. I hate that i had to spend x amount of dollars for it. SHe is a great girl, but in today's society, you have to keep up with the Jones' so to speak. Regardless, i love her and want her to be proud of it. She never asks for a thing.

it's a mutual agreement, the guy wouldn't be with the bitch if she wasn't a trophy, and she wouldn't be with him if he wasn't feeding her $20,000 a day shopping habit.
i wonder if all these guy know that. i think some are so delusional.

Anyway, thanks for everyone who posted postive stuff on this thread.
check back with us in 5 years

That isn't how it works. If you ARE in love with a beautiful woman then a big diamond is a small price to get her. Not saying she will demand it but she sure will be able to get offers if that is what she wants. Look at movie stars, etc. The size of a diamond says a lot to other women and that is very important to them.
I had a girlfriend who owned over $1,000,000 in jewelry. She wore a diamond over 11 carats. Nothing less that 10 good carats would please her. That might not be sufficient, either. You just can't please some women.
god i would love to have run into her in an alley :D

Most of the lads here have no experience at all. If you ever meet a rich woman and she likes you it is a big bonus that she has money. I used to think money didn't matter. Well, it might not be necessary for happiness but you sure can live in style! So I can understand women going for rich guys. Some of the older guys no longer look so great but they are usually smart and interesting. Did I mention generous?.
Here are most of the big diamonds she had. The green one is a natural 5 carat and worth probably around $200,000 if you can find one. She had pearls, emeralds and other jewelry. She used to carry a lot of it with her when travelling abroad. Crazy but I guess she preferred to have them with her instead of being robbed at home. We went shopping for a 12 carat diamond. That was fun. You should see how well you get treated by jewelers when they know you have money.
Open the photo up to see how impressive that jewelry is.

Well, some women marry a guy for his convenience. Like to allow an executive to stay in Canada and work. She said he was a part owner of a big international company and wanted to have a wife so he could complain with the others about what their wives bought that week. She never had sex with the poor bugger. How about that? Lasted for 13 years. Don't ask me how female brains work but I guess she wanted to be rich and this was how she achieved it.
