its fucking cringe-inducing whenever you see jay, or any bodybuilder get interviewed by mainstream media outlets
the predictable lame questions, the phony banter..............."man, how much do you bench press"
-
Jay is great!
Nice to see how he represents his occupation in public... one of few guys capable to do that.
Jay seems to get more and more visibility in mainstream media which is absolutely awesome - haters here of course hate but let them hate 8)

seems jay is the first professional bodybuilder (after arnold of course) to get himself a publicist

He for sure is. Jay is somewhat different from rest of the pros in many other ways also... and that ain't a bad thing at all...
Good for him. Might be one of the few who also enjoy big bucks in future after his bb carrier
-
I can't believe his picture hangs on the same wall as Scott, Olivia, Arnold, Zane, Haney, etc. Heck, I don't mind that Dexter won. But Jay................ :-\ :-\
-
At about 2:00 the chick in the green shirt was checking Jay's arms out. And they say chicks don't dig bodybuilders :D :D ;D ;) ;)

I've said that every time some video like this comes up... all women seems to have difficulties to hide their excitement when they are near the pros.
Women not liking muscles is a myth created here on internet boards.

unfortunately, his personality is as flat as those arms! I like Jay, he is good for the sport but come on, act excited about who you are!

you would stare endlessly at a midget or a person with a huge tumor as well.............doesnt mean your sexually aroused by them
freakshow factor.......

I think Jay is doing a good job... He's a bit monotone, but he's a hell of a lot better spokesman for bodybuilding than Ronnie Coleman was LOL Ronnie fed into the dumb bodybuilder stereotype perfectly... and yes yes you can all talk about his college degree and accounting degrees lol but the dude sounded like a fawkin' moron! "uhh yea pretty much i just be liftin lots of heavy weights for pretty much like 25 years and thats pretty much all dat i do" LOLLLLLLLLL
-
a difference with Jay as Mr.O is he right away starts traveling and promoting bodybuilding, himself and his sponsors. Pretty much year round.
He is a hard worker for sure. Probably the best payed bodybuilder to date by far.

I was also half joking around. Yes, the freak factor will definitely draw people's attention. However, I bet there are a lot of girls that would like a man Jay. Even if they say they don't like that build.

One time I showed some female co-workers a pic of Flex Wheeler that had been posted on here (the classic hands on hips pic, with him looking down), and said, "I wouldn't mind looking like that", they said, "WTF, why would you? He looks disgusting!", mind you these were not ugly critters, but attractive women...sometimes, too much is just that. But, sometimes, up close, it's a curiousity.

LMAO! The dude still has no fucking personality.
-
Has Jay ever fallen asleep while talking?
-
LMAO! The dude still has no fucking personality.
He is working hard on that. You can tell it by looking progress how he acts for example in his training videos... in early ones he didn't speak much and acted even more phlegmatically than in more recent ones. Plus in his "Jay Cutler TV" -videos he tries hard to make impression of energetic and entertaining personality. So it's under work, don't worry... I think his future plans require more personality so it's coming.
And in this video he stated he was tired and heading to get some sleep. And I don't blame him as he has been on road pretty much since Olympia

LMAO! The dude still has no fucking personality.
With that playful, hip hairstyle, c'mon!
-
All the charisma of a potted plant.
Arnold walks into any room, anywhere in the world and instantly the room is filled with his presence.
Jay walks into a room and everyone wonders who's the stumpy guy with the child's haircut.
-
HE dose try to promote the sport. We need to give him props for not being lazy.
-
I like how the general public always jokes about how they're not motivated to work out and then everyone laughs. Is it funny to be status quo, unmotivated to achieve anything? Also, bodybuilding can't be seen as a sport, because it never gets past the old stereotypical questions with the mainstream media. "How big are your arms? How much do you eat? Do you work out all day?"
A sports-type question would be, "Did you feel that the improvements Phil Heath made were enough to win the show?" or "Your conditioning this year seemed off from last year, what was the difference?" Mainstream doesn't bother to do any research or ask anything intelligent, it's the same questions they were asking bodybuilders 20 years ago.

I don't care for his look, but Jay is a really nice guy. I was very impressed when he was guest posing at a show that he went around and talked to many of the people competing. He wasn't aloof, self absorbed, or stuck up. He tried to give encouragement to many people. I thought that was really great.
OH and most women are not fans of the competition look.
-

LMAO!!!
I was thinking along the same lines as well but couldn't put it as well as you did. Nicely done.

you never see him "promoting the sport" at a gig that he isnt getting paid thousands of dollars to appear at
except for sponsor obligations...........bu t in a round about way., he is getting money for that as well
the point is,. jay is about making money, plain and simple............and promoting himself..............so he can in turn make MORE money
im sure to him promoting the sport of bodybuilding is a desirable side benefit................b ut it certainly is not high on his priority list
he clears between 8,000 and 15,000 $ every weekend he shows up to those guestposings............ sometimes a LOT more
