Now that Brock Lesnar has been exposed as a fraud it is time to look at what a true fight between two truly great heavyweights looks like. Even though this fight happened seven years ago, it is still considered the greatest MMA fight of all times between the two greatest heavyweights ever. It is scary to see just how great Fedor is. He escapes from multiple submission attempts from a fourth degree BJJ black belt and follows that with brutal ground-and-pounding with a precision and power that is absurd(not one punch lands out of Nog's chin). With one arm Fedor throws Nogueira out of his guard and with the other he punches. Incredible. Even scarier is that Minotauro takes these punches each of which could proably kill an average man and keeps going like an unkillable zombie. Incredible.

Minotauro is really scary, he destroyed his life with MMA.
Dude is already a vegetable, and he is still young. I don' want to see him in 20 years, if he will even live that long with all the brain damage he has taken.
-
Great fight. He takes INSANE punches from an insane puncher. Just look what they did to Tim lol.
I wonder who's next.

I never said he's not friendly, but he already has the shaking, can't walk straight for days and so on. He has suffered severe brain damage and has been fighting way to often with to short breaks between fights.
It's sad to see.
-
Did Minotauro fight shogun or was that his brother. It was a war either way.

how do you know all this?
Dude has taken waaay too much punsihment though I agree. I thought he was like 42yr old or something. Looks worn out as fuck.

Are you talking about Antonio Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogueira? He seems fine. I watched and interview with him the other day and he didn't sound incoherent or forgettable which is what you wouuld expect from someone with brain damage. But he did have short-term memory loss after this fight and ringing of the ears. Fedor's punches back in 2003 were more powerful than those of prime Tyson, and Minotauro ate dozens of them straight to the chin.

I don't know what is scarier in this fight, the ability of Minotauro to resist many consecutive punches each of which could knock out a horse, or the way Fedor escapes multiple submission attempts from a guy who was a 4th degree black belt in BJJ when this fight happened. Let me tell you that the current UFC heavyweight champ would have been easily submitted in that position by 2003 Nogueira. Most UFC heavyweights are wrestlers and the way you finish a wrestler is with great BJJ.

Maybe i mistake the guy for someone else, but i am pretty sure it is him.
I read an article somewhere where they said that he is pretty done.

It goes to show what it takes to finally submit Fedor: a 6th degree BJJ Abu-Gahbri World champion and ADCC champion and Fedor being past his prime. Even a 6th degree BJJ World champion would have to swet to submit a 2003 Fedor. And honestly, the only reason Fedor lost that fight is because he decided to fight Werdum in the one area where the latter is superior. Fedor's grappling is outstanding, but Werdum is probably the one guy in the World who is superior at grappling. But Fedor could have just made the fight remain standing and knocked Fabricio's head of. No way would Werdum have taken Fedor down if Fedor didn't want it to.

yep he rushed it. If he didnt I dont see him losing.
Cant wait for next fight whoever it will be. And Im sure fedor would be a top level bjj dude if you would rank him that way also, Unstoppable in sambo for Shitload of years.

And now hes not allowed to do any full contact training for 6 months due to the cut. that suck dick.
-
No it was a fraud!!We were told by the hype machine he was an unstoppable MMA monster and would mow down everyone in his path, what hes done is prove he doesnt like being hit(ok noone does but you try not to show it), has bad stand up and hes got no class.

ofc they are going to hype him like crazy, you have to make up your own mind. Even though Im obviously dissapointed he did extremly good for such a novice.
I HEARD Rumors that no one was allowed to hit him in the face during training. If thats true then fuck.
That would however explain why he reacts so damn bad to it. But it would even cause me to loose some respect :/

How am I kidding? Fedor put down with a single punch a 6'5 270 lbs black guy notorious for having a granite chin. Everyone who fights him says the same thing: that they have never been hit that hard before.

Tyson would mitts on or bare fist would have killed the 270lbs black guy, now im not starting my usual boxings better than MMA, Fedor would have destroyed Mike Tyson, BUT he did NOT hit harder than him!

MS earned lots of overtime for shaving the hair on Lesnar's nutsack pre-fight. Velasquez reportedly wasn't interested in a similar "arrangement".

Mindpsin, you are the biggest douche, moron, scumbag, retard, loser on the face of the Earth. You truly are pathetic. Even if Fedor were overrated, which he isn't as the fight with Minotauro proves - I don't think this level of skill has ever been displayed by any fighter in any fight ever -, he would still be much better than any UFC heavyweight. The Fedor of 2003 would kill Cain Velasquez. Fedor would either knock him out cold on the stand up, or on the ground he would either submit him since Cain's grappling is zero or brutally ground-and-pound him to a win. True story.
SUCKMYMUSCLE

I never said Lesnar was the greatest ever. As of right now I think the best heavyweight in MMA is either Alistar or Cain. Would love to see those two matched up after the JDS fight...

Yes. that's why he escapes multiple submission attempts from a third degree BJJ black belt and follows that immediately with brutal ground-and-pound. With one arm he throws Nogueira out of his guard and with the other he punches. When has an UFC fighter display the level of skills Fedor has in this fight ??? And speaking of cans, that is the very definition of Lesnar's fights. Lol. He first fought a Japanese guy he outweighted by 100 lbs and than Mir. Lol.

The guys that Lesnar has fought in his 7 MMA fights overall had better reccords than the first seven guys that Fedor fought. You can't argue with the facts.
Just face it man. Saying Fedor is the best ever, is like saying that Hulk Hogan or Rocky Balboa are the best ever. It may be true, but only in fantasy land...lol.

Ok, who in the UFC heavyweight division has defeated more top heavyweights? And it doesen't matter here because we are talking in absolute terms and not evaluating who has fought more talent at the same point in their careers. Fedor has defeated Nogueira, Crocop, Herring, Mark Hunt, Garry Goodrich, Randleman, Renato "Babalu" Sobral, Ricardo Arona, etc. With the exception of Renato Sobral, who was a light-heavyweight, these were all top heavyweights. Who in the UFC heavyweight ranks has defeated more talent?

As I've said a million times, he was the best heavyweight of that era (10 years ago). He is not the best heavyweight today and he is not the best fighter ever...

LOL! All those guys have been beaten and humiliated in the UFC. They were exposed for the cans that they were.
And yet, they were all good enough to win the UFC's heavyweight belt. Going by your retard logic, the UFC heavyweight division is terrible since not one, not two, not even three but four cans were good enough to win the heavyweight belt.

Your credibility is zero Mindspin. You accuse Fedor of fighting cans yet you say Overeem is the best HW? Tell me what top ten HW Overeem has beat? Oh wait, he has yet to fight one.
How can anyone take anything you say about MMA seriously when you claim a guy whos best HW wins are James Thompson, Fujita and Bret Rogers is the best fighter in the world?

I would not rank Alistar as #1 based on the competition he has faced. However, if you were to ask me who I thought would win in an Alistar vs. any one heavyweight, I would tell you that he would beat all of them except for Cain.

Arlovski and Tim were not cut fool, they left on their own accord. Keep talking, arguing with you is like taking candy from a baby.
Fedor with wins over Arona, Babalu, Schilt, Goodridge, Coleman x2, Randleman, Nogx2, Cro Cop, Arlovski, Sylvia is a Can crusher but Overeem who has lost to almost every top 10 figher he fought at LHW and who's best wins at HW are vs James Thomspson and Fujita is the Best fighter on the planet.

Yes because anyone who looks good against the likes of James Thompson and a 42 year old Fujita is certainly a world beater ::). Forget the fact that he has lost to virtually ever top 10 fighter he has ever faced save for a mentally distraught Vitor Belfort.
Overeem is the text book definition of a can smasher. Watch any of his fights against a worthy opponent. He gasses after 2-3 minutes and loses. Because he looked good against Thompson doesnt change the fact that he gets owned whenever he fights a decent opponent.

''Brock Lesnar (No. 1 HW) vs. Cain Velasquez (No. 4 HW) - this is tough pic. It's hard to predict how Lesnar will react to Cains pressure after 4-5 rounds. If this goes past the 3rd, I think Cain wins on points with a boring fight. That said, I think Lesnar will end this with a 2nd round TKO''.

Do you really follow MMA? Seriously? Dana White flew to Chicago trying to convince Arlovski to stay in the UFC. He actually said that in all of his years as promoter, Arlovski is the only guy he didn't want to leave that left. Tim Sylvia wasn't cut either. Rather, he was starting some personal business and didn't want to accept the contract the UFC was offering him. But they did offer him a contract to resign. As for Mark Coleman, I will give you this one. But still Coleman had been the UFC heavyweight champ less than two years before and he was a very lean 250 lbs compared to Fedor's chubby 230 lbs and Fedor still decimated him. Coleman was only a little past his prime when he fought Fedor. You make it seem like he was a 60 year old arthritic loser when he fought Fedor which is not true.
I was referring to all of the Pride guys that Fedor beat. Most came to the UFC and when they did, they had their asses handed to them...
The explanation for this is very simple: they were way past their prime. What about Shogun becoming the UFC's light-heavyweight champion? He was a PRIDE guy you know. This clearly shows that it is age that made these PRIDE guys suck in the UFC and not skill. Rampage, a PRIDE guy, almost killed Mr.UFC Chuck Liddel back in PRIDE. You can't compare the Nogueira and Crocop of 2010 with the ones from 2003. And BTW, a way past his prime Nogueira destroyed the most legendary UFC light-heavyweight and heavyweight champion, Randy Couture, at UFC 102. If a past prime Nog could do that, imagine how great he was back in 2003 when Fedor dominated him thoroughly. Lol.

LOL....you keep listing Babalu on there. That's a perfect example of how weak Fedor is. He fought a ligh-heavy weight and couldn't finish him! Babalu took him to a decision. This is the same guy Chuck Liddell KOd 2x.
He fought another smaller guy recently...Matt Linland...a middle weight ::) What's "the world's greatest heavyweight" doing fighting a middle weight ??? Oh, and Matt beat Fedor ass so badly, Fedor had to cheat by grabbing the fence to avoid the take down ::)
I've seen almost every one of Fedor's fights. You're not teaching me anything son.

Yes, PRIDE is over and it is a shame because it was truly much better than the UFC. The UFC is like a tiny league next to PRIDE. I mean, PRIDE drew crowds of up to 50,000 people compared to the paultry 5,000 that watch the UFC live events. Lol. And even though the UFC might be watched by more people than PRIDE was, which is debatable, the fact is that PRIDE was truly global and watched in all of East Asia, Europe and Latin America. The UFC is American and that's it.
As for Fedor getting exposed, what happened to him could have happened to Cain, Brock, Carwin and all the other UFC champs. He made a mistake and got caught in a submission by the guy who is the World champion at this. What did Fedor's defeat to Werdum prove? That the latter can out grapple Fedor? We already knew that before the fight. We already knew that Fedor could get submitted if he went into Werdum's guard and tried to grapple with him. So Fedor, an MMA fighter, loses a grappling match against the grappling World champion. Who cares? I don't. The bottom line is that as an MMA fighter Fedor is better than Werdum and ordinarly he would have beaten him. Even Werdum agrees. Lol.

Lol.

I do know several MMA fighters who fight for both the UFC and Strike Force. My BJJ coach is a Strike Force light weight.

Where is the evidence, retard? Prove it or you are just a tap out shirt wearing moron who's whole MMA experience revolves around watching the Ultimate Fighter.

Meltdown from a fairie who has been getting owned by me multiple times over and over again. What has the financial success of PRIDE got to do with how good it was a promotion? It went bankrupt because of the Yakuza scandal, you moron. It had nothing to do with it's popularity. You are so idiotic that even when PRIDE went under in 2007 it's ratings were still higher than the UFC and it was watched in far more countries. The UFC doesen't exist outside the U.S, Canada dn England. Understand this moron.

UFC was bankrupt when the Fertittas bought it, and again before the Ultimate fighter. The reality show basically saved the UFC.

When all you have left is name calling, you know you've been pwn3d severely...lol.
You want me to provide proof that I know some UFC & StrikeForce guys? Oh brother ::)
And you ask what does financial success have to do with how good a promotion is...uh, how about everything! The UFC is financially better, because it puts on better shows, has the best fighters and is a legit organization. Pride blurred the lines between real fighting and fake wrestling, they made up fake bios about their fighters, they constantly had all sorts of freak show matches and they were suspect of fight fixing, which is where the whole Yakuza scandal comes into play.

You are the one who started with the insults calling me imbecile. Pot, kettle, black.

You are assuming that the only reason why not enough people watched it and it went bankrupt is because it was bad. Their problem was that they couldn't promote the show very well outside Japan. They paid a lot to their fighters(Fedor is a millionaire) and spent lots of money on the production(PRIDE production >>>>>>>>>>>>>> UFC production) and they never were successful in getting open channels outside Japan to show it. It was only on cable channels in other countries. They also never could make it into open channels in the U.S which is the biggest market. Everywhere where PRIDE was shown, it was a huge success, but it was shown to little people. Eventually, the money they spent on putting on the shows and paying the fighters was greater than the revenues and they went under. The Yakuza scandal further weakened it and investors left leaving them with debts they couldn't honor.
But this doesen't take away from PRIDE being much better than the UFC as an MMA show and entertainment. Conversely, the UFC has the huge U.S market and they were masters in promoting the UFC even buying their own T.V station. This, combined with the fact that the UFC lets it's fighters starve and that they spend less than 5% of what PRIDE spent on it's prioduction explains why the UFC is alive and PRIDE is dead. You truly know nothing, are a retard of colossal dimensions and should be demoded as mod in the MMA board and replaced by me because you know nothing.

I would not rank Alistar as #1 based on the competition he has faced. However, if you were to ask me who I thought would win in an Alistar vs. any one heavyweight, I would tell you that he would beat all of them except for Cain.
This is the same guy just this summer who thought Fedor had zero competition outside the UFC.
