but peanutbutter doesnt work so well producing immediate energy in evening or night because of beans and rice /wheat pancakes have been consumed...if peanutbutter is consumed later after these meals it causes lethargy or a non energitic feel when eating it
right now im doing weighted pushups with a 40 pound back pack, i weight 277 right now but when i just put my hands on the scale and my 40 pound backpack on it says im pressing 225 pounds under my palms in sets of 10 so im fairly pleased with that. this goes to show that you dont need a gym to lift decent weights. hopefully i can modify this backpack to hold more weight
weighted pushups seem much safer on the joints and sholders because you have to use/strengthen more stabilizer muscles
i think wheat pancakes are best for evening along with fruitjuices but no fat or peanutbutter fat
i do find fat can be helpful at work up till about 4 to 4:30pm oclock but no later
-
thanks for the laugh Johnny, I needed that

What effect does the pushups with weight have on your speed and punching ability Falcon? In the past you done them with no weight.
-
past month after my am run, I drink at least 32 oz of the tropicana 50 percent less Orange Juice.
-

never have done weighted pushups before, but doing them can only produce good results. i want to modify my backpack to hold more weight because if i added more to this backpack it would shurley rip the strap
im finding the peanutbutter and fruitjuices are what works best in the am!
yesterday i was eating whole wheat pancakes with agave syrup, i still have energy from it but too much of a 'full' sensation on my stomach wich slowed me down
-

is that a diet orange juice?
if so why not just by the regular and drink more water
i do agree the fruit juices are essential, just no wheat or cereal grains in the morning save them for lunch time and early evening and night along with juices but no peanutbutter
-
I need some doctoring on my oatmeal pancakes.

yea its 50 percent less sugar and calories. I drink alot of water throughout the day. It's the first thing I do when I get home from my am workout. My carb eating is in the am, it's what works for me to maintain
-
I HAVE to have carbs in the am, or I run out of gas mid-morning.
-
Ignore the haters Falcon, like you, I train at home as well, and like you I do weighted push-ups. At the moment I can do 6 reps with 80 pounds added on my back. And your right that it's easier on the joints. I had a bad shoulder injury playing hoops about 6 years ago, and these push-ups are much easier on my shoulder than barbells and/on dumbells. By the way, add some wide grip weighted chins to your routine, and then you will develop some true Falcon wings ;D

last saturday i ate a big bowl of fresh blueberries and rasberries, whey and milk, a piece of 85% dark chocolate, and a little coffee
2 hours later i lifted and had the best workout i can remember....tons of aggressive energy where i couldn't get enough of the
lactic pain
some people may say it was the caffeine, but i know it wasn't that because i have used it many times before and got nothing
but shaky workouts
not sure if it was the food combo or not, but i sure think so!

listen young lady, you need the natural sugars of an orange, this will not hurt you. if you are worried about too many sugars/calories just water down the regular kind

I eat enough fruits and veggies in the am and late am.
Young lady?? Thanks for that

the diet only works if it can be utilized everyday

if you have the best workout of your life for one day that means absolutley nothing, and tells you nothing how well or bad a diet is working
the true test of a perfect diet non calorie restrictive eating plan is if it gives you that same bountiful energy everysingle day
-
Did you see my post Falcon? Add some weighted Chins to your training. And yeah man, carbs are cool, but if one is trying to get shredded, then it's best to take them down. Science says 100 carb grams per day are needed for optimal brain functioning. Carbs are brain fuel.

It all depends on your activity level, Falcon stands all day best I understand he would need more carbs and cals say than a office worker so relevant to activity = its all math fat loss or fat gain and energy.
-
So are you saying dat "A calorie is a calorie" Mr N ;)
-
more calories=more potential energy to do shit and workout
animal fat calories are not very effective in the longrun for energy they might work initially but not a good staple
-
So are you saying dat "A calorie is a calorie" Mr N ;)
Yes but if you are talking health its a whole different ballgame.

i agree...i didn't mention that my workouts have not had energy lately because i am always in a slight deficit...i never feel as
good working out when dieting...but that would be obvious
this was the first time in a deficit that i have had that level of intensity
-

you need more carbs than the average person if you want to be above average
yes weighted chins are good too
right now im just doing barbell hacksquats and weighted pushups
-
Yes but if you are talking health its a whole different ballgame.
yes if animal fats really produced superior energy then we'd be eating a stick of butter a day
-
Yes but if you are talking health its a whole different ballgame.
ding ding ding....i eat tons of carbs before bed even on non workout days...i stay in a deficit and have my
protein requirements met, so what the fuck does it matter
i always feel better when i eat more natural foods, but the weight loss doesn't even vary slightly from eating
shitty and being in a deficit
-
Hey No Patience, what do you consider to be one's protein requirements? And to Falcon, saturated fat raises test levels and allows one to keep and maintain strength on a calorie deficent diet. So son, but you won't lose weight unless you cut cals.
-

everything can raise test levels even extra calories bro or an extra pushup raises it .5% theoretically...if you really think butter is a sole way of increasing test then be my guest have a stick
-
you have a much better chance of growing big and as lean as possible with no deficit and low or no animal fats but high plant fats that have natural protien/buffering agents that help with assimilation like peanutbutter. YOUR PEANUTBUTTER AND NUTS HAVE THE HIGHEST CONCENTRATION OF NITRIC OXIDE IMPROVING BLOOD FLOW ANIMAL FATS AND VEGETABLE/CANOLA OILS DO NOT HAVE THE NITRIC OXIDE EFFECT THIS IS KEYY!!!!!!

Most likely restaurant stuff....plus it needs to be "sweet" cornbread.....the other is kinda dry and blah, unless you add a ton of butter.

Weighted pushups are great, but if you're using a weighted vest, make sure the majority of the weight (if not all) of the weight is on your back across the plane of the chest.

I think when Falcon talks of a backpack he maybe be referring to a girl sitting on his back just my take on it.

Hey No Patience, what do you consider to be one's protein requirements? And to Falcon, saturated fat raises test levels and allows one to keep and maintain strength on a calorie deficent diet. So son, but you won't lose weight unless you cut cals.
from some of the top nutritionists like Dr Joe, Lyle McDonald, etc i hit 1gm/lb of bodyweight only because i am around 10% bf currently
a while back i was 19% and i ate about 1gm/lb of lean bodyweight....i have found from my own stats that keeping my protein at that level mixed
with higher carbs(while staying in a deficit) has greatly improved my ability to not lose muscle....as Dr Joe would say, carbs are better at
sparing muscle than excess protein
i count calories and protein and just fill in the rest with whatever i crave at the time
i absolutely am proof of wave/adonis principles although i generally eat pretty natural food because it is less calorie dense and fills me up
more...i eat a lot of "forbidden foods" weekly including a little binge drinking once in a while
-
That's cool man, but I really do think that 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight is a bit overkill. In my experience .7 grams per pound of bodyweight is more than enough protein.
-

from my own experience i actually completely agree with you....i guess i could never know the exact number if, which would probably
vary per individual, but i just go with that for insurance...there are many days i get only .7-.8
people definitly over exagerate the amount needed
guys one here can say "what the fuck do you know?" but i listen to the real experts, not keyboard experts
Dr. Joe, Lyle McDonald, Alan Aragon...all do my research for me

also Jerry Brainum for suppliment recommendations...

This......people have to experiment for themselves a bit. think of all the body types in the world, yet there is some "magic" number that every person's body is going to break down the exact same way? not going to happen.

Yes, I've read some of Lyle Mcdonald's work, its great..really busts the nutrition myths. He was a little off though when he favored keto diets some years ago.

yeah...one example is that i work in an office setting, very sedetary and i only lift 3 days per week, just enough to put my muscles
under a demand so they don't wither away...it is working awesome for me...
some guys break down their muscle much more, with physical jobs plus lifting, or lifting 6 days a week, intensity variations, genetics, etc

I have no idea. All I know is that it must be a terrible way to diet, low carbs alone killed me once..I don't want to think what a keto would do.

First of all peanut butter is hardly a healthy food. You want good energy than have MEAT for breakfast. I have been doing the whole egg white bullhit for a while now but meat makes me feel great.

natural peanutbutter with no transfats is very healthy, its nitric oxide content is exceedingly beneficial for cardio vascular blood flow. it has all the right amino acids and only needs wheat in the evening to give you a COMPLETE amino acid profile. by itself is an incomplet protien but thats ok as long as you eat wheat later in the day

yes you are definitly not sleeping enough brother. i sleep 8 hours

I'm curious No Patience, is it true that protein requirements go up when one is in a calorie deficet? Also, how does carb intake effect it? For example, are 100 daily carb grams enough for a protein sparing effect?

You have a lot to learn before you are truly sub 6% .
-
I know that it's hard to believe man, but I really was sub-6 some years ago. In fact there is a photo of me here on this site that proves it, and yes gh15 saw it, and he said that I was a legit sub-6 in that photo.

In the AM, I will have a large tablespoon of PB (Peanut butter, not penis butter like some pole smokers here), and a large cranberry juice, mixed with "Now Foods Fruit & Greens PhytoFoods". Healthy stuff. Then at night, I drink Rum and Jack Daniels, not so healthy. (Only on weekends though).
-
why does dj still think protien is the magic bullet, our bodies make amino acids from food that we eat
each of us needs amino acids in a specific ratio to each other. Our bodies can make about half of the needed amino acids given proper starting materials including a source of nitrogen(like peanutbutter or sunflower seeds)(such as other amino acids). There are eight amino acids we can’t make, so they must be present in our diets in a specific ratio to each other. These eight are collectively known as the essential amino acids
-
Hard and consistant training is the magic bullet man, but without protein the muscles can't grow, since muscles are composed of 22% protein. Although, muscle is also composed of 70% water...

Just type in "Me at my peak" and there you will find it. Maybe I should post up some of the print work from my modeling days, then I could really stir up some good hatred, rage, and anger here on this site ;D ROFL!

Falcons next diet would be cockbutter and manjuice.
-
what always works best for my am workout is a well blended shake mixed with two eggs, cup of blue berries, cup partridge berries, cup of rasberries, cup of Grape fruit juice or orange juice, cup of 2% Milk or yogurt, cup of oatmeal with a tablespoon of cinnamon.... works great for my cardio and weight training.

I need Falcon to pray for my soul, as I eat chicken and/or beef every single day of my existance. Maybe he could offer up some sacrificies for my evil soul
