Title: just went up from 65 pound dumbells to 95 pound dumbells!
Post by: Marty Champions on February 25, 2011, 06:02:45 AM
i slipped off 2, 10's and add 2, 25 pound plates on each dumbell making them 95 pounds! had to do it this way cause i have normal length dumbells.. mentally this is motivating. i could do some upright rows wit dem bitches definitly worked my cardio doing upright hoes with it. but had trouble curling them

im still impressed about that 14 year old kid curling those 100 poundumbells!

my lower back is still a major weakpoint from all the manual labor i do, so i have to make very sure i dont agrivate it when lifting the weights, my lower back is healing slowly day by day

im wondering since my strength is going up that i could be chronically overtrained on lighter weights especially all the lower back bending/movement from working that i should only lift heavy and not too much volume just a good enough volume

Lower back problems suck.  I had a chronic problem that work sure didn't help with.  I actually went to a family friend who's a chiro and he did me a world of good.  Now the back does tighten up on occasion, but not nearly as bad as it used to.  Be sure to do some stretching whenever you can.

i just made a WONDERful vanilla cake with olive oil

i used the box cake yellow mix and added olive oil and eggs and water tastes great! i think the olive oil is healing my back but it will be a LONG WHILE if ever again i do heavy back lifts.

the daily grind of working never lets my lower back fully recover

most of the time when something is on the ground i try to not bend my back to pick it up but rather squat down with my legs to pick something up!

wen i was actually having bad muscle pain in my lower back, hyperextensions only made it worse

i think all my back bending manual labor work doesnt allow me for much extra stimulation

Enlongating the back is the answer compression is the cause vertabre pinching nerves, ie chins or yoga type movements help.
