I dont get this... people are orgasming all over this guy like he is the 2nd coming, but really he's pretty lackluster.
Like people are so starved for a narrow midsection that he gets a pass on everything.
Anyone else see this? Or am I the only one?

Im gonna go out on a limb and say Evan will be 10x as good as Wolfe, even though hes not as "gifted" structuraly.
Wolf is a lazy SOB and he never improves.
People are freaking out cause he JUST NOW managed to get back into his 07 shape. :-\

It's just choosing the lesser evil. Wolf is far from complete and has several flaws, but looks like a Greek god compared to Branch Warren.
Wolf was great in the 2006 Mr Olympia, but he hasn't repeated that shape since then. He's actually gotten worse with the injuries.
The whole field is relatively weak now.

I dont even really like Evan, but I think that he has the right mindset to go far.
Wolfe is just collecting a paycheck and cashing in on the weakest BB lineup in history. (like G_Thong said)

I would say exactly six feet. Very tall for a bodybuilder although it has not appeared to hold him back.

OK, who do you think was better than him, JOJ? And, yes, in modern bodybuilding were guys are 275 lbs having a small waist is a huge, huge plus. Isn't that the biggest complaint with bodybuilding today? The big guts? Isn't the wide waist the reason Jay is called the fridge. And where are you reading that guys are orgasming over Wolf. Certainly not here. I only read majority criticism. Compared to Jay, Heath, Kai, Branch and Dex all at their best I would pick Wolf at his best.

im struggling to think of anyone except for Ronnie. Oh, and Branch i guess.

Dennis is maxed out. He's probbably not gonna grow much anymore, he can only refine what he has.

With the exception of Victor I can't see anyone else. I'm not a Wolf nut hugger, no one really stands out for me, but we have guys here questioning him even being a pro. Nit picking him to death when in reality he is top of the top in the bodybuilding world and if he nails it he can be Mr. O even without calves like Dex and to a lesser extent Ronnie.

The problem with Wolf is the same with Vic, "IF", they are both and cold, and Vic has been more consistent over his career, Wolf and Vic both almost tie in on or off mode since Wolf turned Pro.
Wolf, still has that glaring weakness of a missing lower back while he hasn't improved, guys like Pakulski have been steadily improving. I see Ben as a dark horse and that Greek guy as a new version of Paco---but more detailed and ripped. As Wolf sits there and stagnants, others are steadily climbing. I see Alvisi and Curry coming up as well. My prediction is that Wolf will not live up to his namesake, unless "given" the title, but will instead be like a country dog on the front porch...only snapping at the flys...
There is a certain window of time, and I think Dex, Vic, and JOJ's has past, and soon, if Wolf doesn't take advantage, it will pass for him.

I think people like him so much because his shoulders are wider than everyones and his waist is smaller than everyones... he doesn't look blocky like most of the top pro's right now.

Lets think about this. Jay has been lifting weights since he was about 13. Hes in his late 30's now.
Jay has an extremely strong bench. Do you honestly think he can get any stronger without tearing his pec right off of the bone? And training for size and strength are totally different avenues.

And yes I agree he could get stronger. But he most likely cant get THAT much stronger. Im sure in his 20 plus years of training he's gotten pretty damn strong. Because ive seen Jay bench 405 for reps with ease and that was in a pretty old video. So the dude has built up strength.
But the fact that Taylor doesnt understand is that strength always equal size.

Just like a person can max out on size they can also max out of strength. Of course there is a correlation (not a causation) between size and strength. Those that say the reason someone isn't getting any bigger (adding muscle size) is because they are not stronger fail to realize that one of the reasons they have maxed out on size is because they have maxed out in strength. A person can only get so big and so strong.

Exactly. Being able to move more weight does not necessarily mean you are getting stronger and adding muscle mass. In an experiment on older people they found that they were able to lift more weight after the end of the experiment but there was no increase in muscle mass.

I agree. Tbambz training philosophies are bullshit. There are many, many examples to prove him wrong.
When I pump my muscles up with light weights and high reps they grow the best. They don't gain much explosive stregth or increase my lifting maximums, but it builds muscle endurance and size.

Yup. I reached my genetic strength limit back when I was like 21. But my muscles gained more size after that, even though my strength decreased.
And we have all seen small guys who are ridiculously strong. Or huge guys who are weak.
Like Phil Heath. The ultimate in big, weak muscles.

While im sure their is some correlation in relative strength and relative size, to say "increase your strength will increase you size" is stupid. Its already been argued 1000x, and its already been disproved 1000x.
Not to mention the scientific study where people added strength with no appreciable size.

increasing weight = more muscle question: depends on how you lift it of course, i lowered my weights with about 30 % and started to grow like a mf, just because i changed the way i lifted, like in the bench i tryed to use as little shoulderstress as possible

never did i say that two guys of equal strength would be equal size. i said that if a guy gets stronger, he will get bigger. and if a guy gets bigger, then he got stronger as well. theres no way around those two facts. but good job bringin up those guys. cause guess what. they havent added any size since they started "bodybuilding". they gained all their size powerlifting, getting stronger, and since they started "bodybuilding" they have stagnated.

if you have insane genetics AND your on drugs, or you are brand new to lifting, then you can kep gwoing simply by going into the gym and applying stimulus, regardless of progressive overload. but for the rest of us mere mortals the only way to grow is to lift heavier weights.
but even those guys with insane genetics that can get huge by lifting small weights get very strong once they get big. a big guy is always a strong guy. theres no way around that. if you want to be big, get strong. only then can you expect to be big.

Dexters been the same size for 10 years.
People keep saying that, but it's complete bullshit. Compare Dexter of 2003 to Dex in 2008. There's a huge difference, but I understand why people say he's always been the same. That's because they're used to guys gaining a lot of size (including mid section) and fucking up their balance and Dexter has kept his.
As for Wolf, the biggest reason why I don't consider him a future Mr O is because he lacks muscle separation. Good frame though.

im not diminishing the role drugs play. the only reason why wolf looks the way he does is because of the drugs he is using. hes been using tons of drugs, and the past few years even all those drugs havent been able to make him grow. you can only use so much steroids, GH, etc. im sure wolf is maxed out, at least as far as he is willing to take it. the only way hes gonna grow now is bigger weights. what hes been doing hasnt been cutting it- he hasnt grown in years.
