Bench, do you have any kids? Serious question
-
i have thirteen kids by thirteen women. I only slept with twelve of them but one of the women has an identical twin who I got pregnant even though I never slept with her. had to get a DNA test before I believed that one. Another woman I only had anal with but she got pregnant too. Before I went to Iraq to earn the first of several $600,000 paychecks I had to undergo a medical and the doctor ran a test on my sperm and he said the motility of my sperm was extremely high and that they seemed to head straight for the egg like bullets from a sniper's rifle. explains my impregnating women I don't even have vaginal or in one case any intercourse with. :)

Finally, a video without heavy metal music or pushing around a car
-
damn, good commercial coach! u probably didnt design that but still nice investment. so often commercials and advertisements these days completely miss the mark. that was a good one. very good cinematography too.
-
yup nice job
-
Commercial is good, but wouldn't hire someone without a track background to teach running mechanics.

I've been teaching speed for years, it wasn't up until about the last 5 month when I decided to start having camps. We have 4 locations now. We start working on another commercial for the older athletes (HS/college) in a couple of weeks then we have a combine technique video coming out in a couple of months. We do combine training for HS and College athletes.
-
Coach, what exactly does the 1 handed DB press acomplish vs both arms? Are you just going for core stability?

You have camps because it's an easy way to make money. Truth it they are kids, if they want to run faster send them to a track coach. Parents don't see that and send them to you. A former bodybuilder now claiming to teach speed. BTW combine training is a joke. Let me guess you have them do the bench, jump up and down then run 40's and squat? WOW! breath taking!
Truth is the college kids have a base from real coaches in college, all you have to do is get them to then specialize for a few weeks to improve in those areas.
-
Coach,
I commend you for working with kids to improve their overall lives. These kids can be out selling crack cocaine in the tough streets of South Central, Compton or Watts, but instead they are investing their time into after-school sports and doing something productive that can possibly lead to a good future in professional sports entertainment.
Good for you man, if only I had the time and patience, I would also help out kids. For now, I am happy with just giving to charities that serve underprivileged kids in South Africa.

100% bullshit!
Track coaches need to stick with coaching track competitors.
It doesn't take a track coach to teach simple running mechanics.
Besides simply getting stronger and more explosive through lifting + plyos will improve acceleration and top end speed.
-
Awesome vid coach, I love it.
Can't wait to see the next one with the older kids.
How long did it the filming for the vid take?
-

Did I miss something? You don't have to be Black or Mexican to sell crack or cocaine in the tough streets of South Central.
G_Thang, before you talk trash, go to your local video store (a place that rents out VHS tapes) and pick up Colors with Sean Penn.

Start to watch at the 45 second mark and at the far left you will see the most Jewish-looking gangster ever. Rude awakening for you G_Thang!
You need a wake up call my young brother.

Actually the kids in the gym were high schoolers and are taller than me :-\

Well....if those kids ran track I would send them to a track coach, but none of those kids run track, most play football and since football and most sports like baseball, soccer, Lacrosse are all first step and 90% change of direction and deceleration, someone who does what I do would suit them better.
I had 2 athletes from USC in the NFL combines this year, can I make someone like that faster, hell no, but I teach them to be more efficient in their running mechanics and maybe teach them a better technique to help bring their times down. It's harder to teach kids than it is to teach a college JR or Sr. or pro because they've been there, but showing them how to relax when they run or adjusting mechanics in a drill WILL make them quicker in a change of direction drill. We don't teach them how to run 400m, as a matter of fact we rarely go beyond 20 yards because they don't have first step quickness they'll have a hard time making it in any sport. Besides....speed starts in the gym, not on a track.
-
Coach don't like Blacks or Hispanics
-
A football player wears equipment so the last person to teach one how to run would be a track coach. Not only that, a football player runs on grass and is required to change direction very quickly.
Track coaches are for people who run on a track
-

Funny because we have camps in Long Beach/Compton

wow, I thought that since it was California you would have real grass. Oh well, its still not a paved track

Some areas we do but a lot of school districts have been allocating a shit load of $$$ for turf and rubber tracks. The schools in our area and surrounding all have turf and rubber tracks.

Couch, do you at least give the kids a discount ?

For what?

Nice job on the commercial. Must have used a dolly for some of those shots.
When the kids ask you about steroid use, do you like like other coaches?
-
I've never been asked if I've personally used them, but we have discussions all the time about drugs in sport.

non of these "athletic skills' will help these toddlers attain a real job

But at least their not sitting around playing video games!!

Being a college football player on full scholarship + taking a full class load is a full time job!
-
You do realize that most high school/College Football players run track, right?
I played and coached at an ACC & SEC school and we had 2-3 each place that did.
And the ones who did were on track scholarship who "walked on" as football players.
-
They more than likely already came from a track back ground. I went through this with a coach earlier thid yead, he wanted a running back to take track in his offseason, I told the kid ot wouldn't do him anygood, he's a jr and he's already running a 4.6. Bottom linen IMO, you can go from track to football but going from football to track doesn't usually work. The only thing a track coach is going to do is work on mechanics.
-
As a matter of a fact, a football player (RB, WR, etc) will usually have a quicker first step)

Most of the guys just do it because they love to run and compete and these are some that come to mind:
1. Trindin Holliday (LSU)
2. Denard Robinson (MICH)
3. Justice Hayes (MICH Commit)
4. Lashahe Seatrunk (Oregon)
5. Dior Mathis (Oregon)
6. Sammy Watkins (Clemson Commit)
7. Greg Reid (Florida State)
8. Latwan Anderson (Miami)
9 De'Anthony Arntte (Tennessee)
10. Ray Ray Armostrong (Miami)
These guys are Football players that run track. 8)
And that is just off the top of my head.

Right, in your previous post you said MOST college football players run track.
There might be 2-3 guys on a fb team who run track, hardly constitutes as "most"
Your list represents an extreme minority of of guys who are fb players first.
On my college team in the ACC we had 3 guys who ran track- one did decathalon (4 year scout teamer at tailback), one did high jump (6th string wide out) and one was a 100m sprinter (actually started at wide out and was drafted by the Jags)

Tell him to start posting on GB and he'll be running a 4.2 in no time like all the other world record holders here. ;D

Why did "someone ::)" delete this? C'on Coach, do you wear a system or not? I'm thinking of getting one after seeing how good Chicks and "i think" yours looks.

You do realize that most high school/College Football players run track, right?
Professional football players make way more than professional track athletes. Since the majority of college football players wish to turn pro, they would usually give up anything that has nothing to do with their goals, such as track. Perhaps that is common in high school but its very rare on the college level

WOW! I do not think you understood my statement. Vince, many college Football players walk on track because they Football scholies and just wanna compete and stay in shape all year long, ya know.

Coach you should put this song to your commercial

not bad but what could you do for athletes who specialize in flexing in a thong all oiled up on a stage
;D

Finally, a video without heavy metal music or pushing around a car
Cool. Good to see that at least someone is not spending their entire day bickering & jerking off online.

Give Coach a break...he's, obviously, fallen victim to "the game"...meaning that society places expectations on all of us to lose virginity to marriage, have 2.5 children, work 50+ hrs/week, family dog, over-extended mortgage, car payments, weekend family iced tea BBQ's, PTA meetings, stressed to the gills, and sex once/month....seriously, who, in their right mind, voluntarily signs up for this shit?

No car payments. House payment only. Very little stress. I love my life.

Personally I could give a shit about sports, but all the same I wish you well.

Local FOX sports, ESPN. FNL (Friday Night Lights websites throughout So.Cal, etc. FYI, I'm the one who didn't post the commercial on here, for whatever reason Goodrum took upon himself to find it and post it. I wasn't going to post on here at all,
