I know he hinted at renouncing it back in 2003 but does anyone know where he stands now?

RP is against any international agreements/organisations; he has wanted to get out of the UN for 30+ years and he has not changed.

How many terrorist attacks on the homeland would it take for Ron Paul to warrant an international military response? Or does he think that all of America's problems go away the day he's elected president?
Or is he cool with it being open season on American citizens?

Well, as you might have guessed, RP believes that a reduction in our militarism will result in a reduction in violence towards the USA.

Yessir, because Muslims don't hold grudges.
You didn't answer my questions. How many terrorist attacks and American lives would it take for Ron Paul to decide to take military action? Or is he cool with Muslims and other terrorists killing Americans as they see fit?
He seems to think that America's problems go away the day he becomes president. Pretty naive for such a geriatric.

I don't he is cool with it. You should ask him. I can only guess.

Take a shot in the dark, stud.
1,000?
2,000?
10,000?
100,000?
Where do you think he draws the line?

I have no idea and to be honest I don't think the question makes much sense.
Have you read some article or something?

How does it not make sense? Why are you afraid to answer?
I'm starting to think that the typical worshiper of Ron Paul is as big of a douche bag as your every day Obama dick sucker.
-
this is part of my problem with ron paul...he has great ideas but they are only great ideas to a certain extent.
I would still take ron paul over any other politician out there but some of his views just arent realistic.
-
I dont remember him giving some exact number. i believe that he mentioned that an attack on the country would result in a miltary response but I believe he would go about the execution of that response a little differently then others have.
Did you come across some information that contradicts this? Where did you get the idea that he would just twiddle his thumbs?
-
So that's two Ron Paul drones that aren't capable of coming remotely close to answering the questions.
Could you have given a vaguer answer?

The fact that you even suggested that he might be ""cool with Muslims and other terrorists killing Americans as they see fit" is ridiculous and so you got a response that was very fitting. Why dont you watch some of his debates to find your answer?
What makes you think he would do nothing? Do you think we should go to all out war over one American dying or 1000 or 10000? where do you draw the line?
-

You need to clarify which Ron Paul you're talking about.
The one who supports term limits or the one who has been in office since dinosaurs roamed?
The one who is against earmarks and votes against them or the one who puts them in bills?
The one against the war or the one for the war?
The one hell bent on personal liberty and freedom or the one against abortion?
-
I disagree with almost all of Ron Paul's foreign policy and some of his economic policy
Ron Paul advocates that we abolish all international treaties because he's afraid that it'll lead to gun sales, missile tradeoffs, etc. I agree with him that history shows the U.S. should not give guns to other nations. But he still doesn't think countries should cooperate for human rights issues or environmental issues and I disagree with this.
Oh and he wants to abolish the UN completely because it takes away the right of congress to declare war. However he never addresses the human rights aspect of the UN.

Well he seems to think it was a colossal waste of time going after OBL. So, if 3,000 dead Americans aren't enough to justify going to war then how many dead Americans is? A million?
I can see it now. Video after video of American ex-pats having their heads sawed off while the great non-interventionist Ron Paul sits there on his throne rambling on about staying out of things because, you know, a few American lives ain't nuttin but a G than, homey.

Good post until your last sentence. The UN has no human rights aspect. It is the most corrupt, incompetent and pathetic organization on the planet. It is run by dictators, despots and tyrants. The OIC has a near-stranglehold on all affairs and its "Human Rights Council" is chock full of some of the most egregious violators of human rights on the planet.
Fuck, Libya was a member until a month ago and Syria is in line to actually gain membership in the next vote...all while Assad rolls tanks through his towns killing people at will. Meanwhile, the UN can't even come to agreement on a sternly-worded LETTER of condemnation. ::)
Ron Paul's desire to leave the UN is one of his best viewpoints.

Human rights aspect of the UN?
HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA

LOL. Exactly what I said. He's about 5 weeks late for April Fools.

haha I see what you mean now. I meant when typing "the human rights aspect of international cooperation."
-
haha I see what you mean now. I meant when typing "the human rights aspect of international cooperation."
AKA "Bleed the US even more while condemning it at every meeting."
We contribute something like 1/4 of the UN's yearly budget (Japan is #2 at something like 13%) and for what? To get bitched at every meeting by fucking scumbag dictators who contribute precisely dick? What's the point of sticking around there?
Much like the League of Nations, the UN passed the point of relevancy about five genocides ago.
-
He never said going after OBL was a waste of time. He said it was a huge waste of lives and money and he's right. A lot of unnecessary blunders along the way.
My Magoo brings up a few valid points, I agree that his answer on the term limits question wasn't up to snuff but why should he leave when there are other total douchbags sticking around? I disagree with his stance on abortion because my view on when life starts is different form his but I agree that there should be a limti on when an abortion is allowed. If you dig deeper you'll understand his remarks on earmarks and he's been alot more consistant on many other things then 99% of all the other garbage politicians out there.
He's not perfect, but theres much worse.

Who cares when was the last time the UN did anything?

fucking bring the c#nts on... We can take care of ourselves.... For fuck sake, they could launch several attacks the scale of 9/11 per year and still not come close to how many people are killed in car accidents or property destroyed by natural disaster. Do we flip out and change everything from all the people that get killed in car crashes? nope... Do we freak out and demand stronger buildings in areas prone to destruction in hurricanes or tornadoes? Nope, we don't even give a flying rats ass about that... Now we're supposed to flip the fuck out over some stupid fucking twats that couldn't in their best wishes manage a fucking tiny fraction of what we go through as a nation in any given year?
Oh fucking please... give me a break, these muslim twats amount to less than what we see a flu do damage in any 3 month span.
Fuck their terrorists attacks... I'll give those cocksuckers my address and they can come eat lead anytime they want... I'd rather play it that way than see our nation change to a retarded police state for something that really amounts to a minimal risk. Living free comes with risks that people who want to live free are willing to take.

I think he'd stop creating terrorists, and terrorism, that would be a big help.
-

Shut the fuck up, Blacken.
I think he'd stop creating terrorists, and terrorism, that would be a big help.
Wishful thinking chock full of naivety. Muslims have been waging jihad on non-Muslims for 1400 years now.

If we dont have soldiers on the ground in the Middle East its gonna be hard(er) to attack us

It would take one terrorist attack:
In a letter dated July 21, 2007, Dr. Paul states:
"I opposed giving the president power to wage unlimited and unchecked aggression. However, I did vote to support the use of force in Afghanistan. I also authored H.R. 3076, the September 11 Marque and Reprisal Act of 2001. A letter of marque and reprisal is a constitutional tool specifically designed to give the president the authority to respond with appropriate force to those non-state actors who wage aggression against the United States while limiting his authority to only those responsible for the atrocities of that day. Such a limited authorization is consistent with the doctrine of just war and the practical aim of keeping Americans safe while minimizing the costs in blood and treasure of waging such an operation." - Ron Paul

It was an argument you trailer park dwelling retard? No, it was a question that I wanted answered. Funny that it was Loco who answered it and not two of Ron Paul's biggest fan boys. Thanks, Loco.
Is my constant calling out of your trolling and lying getting to you, #1 Obama fan?

I answered this with the same qoute loco provided a couple of times already in other threads and very recently I might ad but your comments were ridiculous and you really dont care anyway so why should I even bother? If you're being genuine thats one thing but your just looking to entertain yourself.

No. I like Ron Paul. But you fanboys are as bad as the Obama worshipers. All you do is suck the guy's dick over his stance on the Fed and appear to be completely incapable of even questioning him on anything else, let alone criticizing him.
Bitching about the fed non-stop might work with some people but it won't win an election.

Getbig isn't the place where I spend most of my time discussing politics, the group here is small but can be entertaining so Ibelieve your basing an opinion without all the facts. Forums geared to RP have some great debates on some of RP's views and way more individuals that a person can learn something from.

The biggest hurdle for rp is the general electorate. Does anyone really believe the same nation that elected Obama in 2008 will go for rp in 2012 over Obama? Come on, let's be real here. Nothing against rp as I like him a ton but seriously , the average soccer mom inde who hears rp say she is going to have to rely on charity for health care is not going to be amused. It's not fair, but it's the USA in 2011 as of now.
