4 years ago I dropped 80 pounds.

I am currently in my 2nd week of taking off the 50 I gained back.  So far so good.  A calorie is a calorie. ;D

Granted, I am not trying to kill myself on my current diet (what's the point? no competition or anything) but it did used to go faster...oh well.

Might I ask how old you are?

Really for me it is easier, when i was young i was always holding water and had alot of babyfat.
now i am 31, and seem to have more quality.
it is just that your body is now fully grown, when you are 22 /23 you can still grow a bit.
the metabolism is a bit slower, i actualy like this... I do not have to overeat to gain weight.
you do not need the same food as you did when in you early twenties.
eat a litlle less, less carbs...
a lot of people just eat to much.

41.  I was on a few cycles last time so this time will be much harder.  I got down to about 12% at 200.  So going at it natural I predict 175 at 15% bf.

Looking back, I think my metabolism was at its best in my 30s. Everything I did worked best during 30s. Did not diet as hard as in 20s and stayed a lot leaner.
Now in mid 40s it is a lot harder to stay lean, for the first time ever having to do cardio and trying to learn to eat less, which is hard as I love food and wife is a very good cook.

Its called..."priorities".

Maybe you have other interests rather than dieting, thats why youre not motivated and see results.

I agree with this. I am 31 too, the quality is much better than anything i had 8-10 years ago.

Back then i ate clean all the time, much higher carbs and protein (Which i think i overdid now). Now i eat less of them but eat more junk and i stay as lean as i could be. Have more energy too.

Considering the quality i have now makes me at 21 look kinda fat (even when lean) i can imagine the same would happen at 41 to 31. Quality is awesome.

It's easier for me than it was say five or ten years ago - being able to afford whey instead of chugging down gallons of milk every day has made it easier - being independent and not having to worry about anyone else means I can concentrate on making a lot of my chicken and rice meals in bulk and storing them so that I don't cheat.

To get back to the point, I was at various points in time in shape and dieting was easier back then.

The best shape I ever was in was twice between 26-27, was at about 13% bf back then, by getbig standards still fat but in decent shape, it was easier back then.

also when you get older i feel my body likes the carb's less and less....
when you just eat a little less, and less carb's you will be fine.
it's not like if you turn a certain age a switch get pulled and you change overknight.
just adjust your diet along the way, and you will be in great shape.
also, switch to short esters! way better.... (for the druggies among us).

Once again, i agree completely. Younger, i ate much more carbs. Now i eat some oatmeal for breakfast (fuck all really) and that's it. I do eat some good fats like Egg Yolks and Macadamia nuts with each meal. I eat clean but when i feel i need it, i eat junk. Whether it be once a day or once every 3 days, i can now feel when i need it. I would really have to eat a lot of junk meal over meal to actually add fat now.

I have noticed my skin is thinner which is great for quality/conditioning but i seem to cut myself more easily.

Nope, still easy as shit for me. I'm 31 next month and fat just melt off me when I want it to and gains are still easy. To be honest, I've carefully been paying attention to my body since I turned 30 and there's been NO change whatsoever. Ok ok, I didn't expect things to change over night just because I'm 30 now, but it's still the same for me than even 10 years ago. It's actually better now because I train smarter and my diet is more solid since my life has become more settled and easy. Age, just a number.

agree on the thinner skin...
and indeed, whole eggs, meat, whole wheat bread (just a slice here and there) these are my main diet foods.
junk is pizza or fried stuff, gets me nice and full!
sweet stuff like chocolate and sugary stuff makes me sooooo smooth....
i eat four times a day.
i do not need 400 grams of protein, i am just on anabolic steroids now.
when using hgh i do up protein, but not by much.
guess i get about 200 grams a day now.
i do not eat a lot, but maintain my 250 pounds very easily. i think a lot of guys eat to much!
only thing that change now in my 30's is i need my rest, if i do not get my 7/8 hours of sleep i get very tired.

When I was 16 I was shredded with a washboard stomach just from doing some situps and pushups with no diet.

Now I gotta battle for it.

That's life. The sonner you stop obsessing over your bod the better.

If you wanna have a great body past 30. Do some steroids.
