Title: Bronkaid- no more? (June 3 good news)
Post by: tommywishbone on May 31, 2011, 09:42:06 PM
Went into CVS today to buy some Bronkaid and the pharmacist told me it was being "discontinued by the manufacturer." They were out of stock, so I went to a Long's Drug Store up the street and they still had it in stock. Just a little heads up.

Primatene or the cvs brand which also has eph.  Thing that sux though is that it's almost the same price as bronkaid, however each pill is half the dose and there's only 24 caps instead of the 60 in bronkaid, shitty.

You can get teh CVS brand in 60 tabs, Primatene also I think.
CVS brand I got last time with 60 tabs, worked great.
Primatene for some reason I feel works faster, dont know if the tabs disolve differently or its just my metabolism is working faster now - dont know.
They break in half easier than the generics also.

Nah, I got 2 60 tab packs last time I went in there, just asked for their asthma medication, 2 of the big boxes, and thats what I got.
May have to do with where you live, and the ephedrine laws in your state.

Bronkaid and Primatene are still made. Now is just a rough time as far as restocking goes. Both are available in 60 or 24 count boxes, you might need the store to order you the 60, because most folks skip it based on cost.

Primatene is 12.5 mg E Hcl.

The talk of Bronkaid, etc.... being discontinued comes from the fact that Primatene and Bronkaid have stopped sales of their OTC inhalers to be in good standing with new govenment regulations.

Some folks mistakenly thought all of their products were now gone.

The tablets are safe.

***Over-the-counter inhaler medications such as Epinephrine (Primatene Mist, AsthmaNefrin) and
Ephedrine/gauifensin (Bronkaid caps, Primatene tabs) will no longer be manufactured or available to
be purchased after December 31, 2011 due to the CFC phase-out.

Health Care Providers should discuss switching medications and other options with their patients several
months prior to a particular drug’s discontinue/end distribution date as the drug may not be available.

The decision to phase out the products is the latest in a series of decisions related to the removal of CFC
inhaler products from the market as required by the Clean Air Act. The agency proposed to phase-out
the seven remaining products in 2007 and reached a final decision after reviewing more than 4,000
public comments and information submitted as part of public meeting

It's not, they've only discontinued the Primatene MIST and Bronkaid MIST inhaler lines because of the CFC's found in the propellents.

It's being mis-reported as all products.

WTF, theyre phasing out ASTHMA meds because of the CLEAN AIR ACT!?
Like, theyd rather have people suffer through asthmatic attacks than have inhalers "damaging" their air?
Am I the only one having a knee jerk freak out at what this sounds like?
I mean, cant have CFC's in the air, fuck the people whos airways are closing up, those CFC's released by those tiny inhalers is fucking deadly!
DEADLY!!!!

LOLZ.
Anyone else starting to get upset with our governments complete overreaction to this whole "green" issue?
I mean yeah, Im sure we probably need to worry about what we dump into the air, but CFC's from inhalers?
The government needs to get some perspective, every effin time they tackle an issue they have to go way overboard to full retard rather than just trying to come up with a reasonable solution.

Al Gore invented two things:  the internet and "global warming"...err "climate change"   ::)

14000 Abandoned Wind Turbines In The USA

There are many hidden truths about the world of wind turbines from the pollution and environmental damage caused in China by manufacturing bird choppers, the blight on people’s lives of noise and the flicker factor and the countless numbers of birds that are killed each year by these blots on the landscape.

The symbol of Green renewable energy, our saviour from the non existent problem of Global Warming, abandoned wind farms are starting to litter the planet as globally governments cut the subsidies taxes that consumers pay for the privilege of having a very expensive power source that does not work every day for various reasons like it’s too cold or  the wind speed is too high.

The US experience with wind farms has left over 14,000 wind turbines abandoned and slowly decaying, in most instances the turbines are just left as symbols of a dying Climate Religion, nowhere have the Green Environmentalists appeared to clear up their mess or even complain about the abandoned wind farms.

The US has had wind farms since 1981:

“Some say that Ka Le is haunted—and it is. But it’s haunted not by Hawaii’s legendary night marchers. The mysterious sounds are “Na leo o Kamaoa”– the disembodied voices of 37 skeletal wind turbines abandoned to rust on the hundred-acre site of the former Kamaoa Wind Farm…

The ghosts of Kamaoa are not alone in warning us. Five other abandoned wind sites dot the Hawaiian Isles—but it is in California where the impact of past mandates and subsidies is felt most strongly. Thousands of abandoned wind turbines littered the landscape of wind energy’s California “big three” locations—Altamont Pass, Tehachapin (above), and San Gorgonio—considered among the world’s best wind sites…
California’s wind farms— comprising about 80% of the world’s wind generation capacity—ceased to generate much more quickly than Kamaoa. In the best wind spots on earth, over 14,000 turbines were simply abandoned. Spinning, post-industrial junk which generates nothing but bird kills…”

The problem with wind farms when they are abandoned is getting the turbines removed, as usual there are non Green environmentalists to be seen:

The City of Palm Springs was forced to enact an ordinance requiring their removal from San Gorgonio. But California’s Kern County, encompassing the Tehachapi area, has no such law

Imagine the outraged Green chorus if those turbines were abandoned oil drilling rigs.

It took nearly a decade from the time the first flimsy wind turbines were installed before the performance of California wind projects could dispel the widespread belief among the public and investors that wind energy was just a tax scam.

Ben Lieberman, a senior policy analyst focusing on energy and environmental issues for the Heritage Foundation, is not surprised. He asks:

“If wind power made sense, why would it need a government subsidy in the first place? It’s a bubble which bursts as soon as the government subsidies end.”

“It’s a bubble which bursts as soon as the government subsidies end” therein lies a lesson that is going be learnt by those that sought to make fortunes out of tax payer subsidies, the whole renewables industry of solar, wind and biomass is just an artificial bubble incapable of surviving without subsides from governments and tax payers which many businesses and NGO’s like WWF, FoE and Greenpeace now think is their god given right, as the money is going on Green Climate Religion approved clean energy.

The Green evangelists who push so hard for these wind farms, as usual have not thought the whole idea through, no surprises for a left agenda like Climate Change, which like all things Green and socialist is just a knee jerk reaction:

Altamont’s turbines have since 2008 been tethered four months of every year in an effort to protect migrating birds after environmentalists filed suit. According to the Golden Gate Audubon Society, 75 to 110 Golden Eagles, 380 Burrowing Owls, 300 Red-tailed Hawks, and 333 American Kestrels (falcons) are killed by Altamont turbines annually. A July, 2008 study by the Alameda County Community Development Agency points to 10,000 annual bird deaths from Altamont Pass wind turbines. Audubon calls Altamont, “probably the worst site ever chosen for a wind energy project.”

The same areas that are good for siting wind farms are also good for birds of prey and migrating birds to pass through, shame for the birds that none of the Green mental midgets who care so much about everything in nature, thought that one through when pushing their anti fossil fuel agenda.

After the debacle of the First California Wind Rush, the European Union had moved ahead of the US on efforts to subsidize “renewable” energy–including a “Feed in Tariff” even more lucrative than the ISO4 contracts.

The tax payers who paid for the subsidies to build the wind farms, then paid over the odds for an unreliable source of power generation will, ultimately be left to pick up the bill for clearing up the Green eco mess in the post man made Global Warming world.

Updated November 24th

In answer to several allegations that the number of abandoned wind turbines was made up,  the following quote from the article and link will confirm this figure to be true:

California’s wind farms — then comprising about 80% of the world’s wind generation capacity — ceased to generate much more quickly than Kamaoa. In the best wind spots on earth, over 14,000 turbines were simply abandoned. Spinning, post-industrial junk which generates nothing but bird kills.

It isn't the tablets being removed from the market it's the inhalers.

Here's Primatene's official announcement-

http://www.primatene.com/doc/PrimateneMistCFCInformation-01-04-2012.pdf .

FDA's -

http://www.fda.gov/NewsEvents/Newsroom/PressAnnouncements/ucm272872.htm .

Bayer doesn't mention it, but Bronkaid is still on their active list of products-

http://bayercare.com/ .

Notice the handsome Bronkaid logo on the list.

There is just a massive back order on all ephedrine based products now.

But you can look for "Franol." or "Marax."

yep..the pharmacist said they are only taking the inhalers off the shelf b/c something "bad" was found in them.  Said if they are taking the pill off shelf totally in your area it's by choice only.

The one I went to is getting more in on Thursday he said. I'm in a college area, so inventory in my area gets cleared fast. Damn kids will take anything. Tweaking ass kids.

I just googled it and there is a 3.6g/day limit imposed by federal law. Some states (of course) take that lower. If you were able to purchase 120 tabs, there must be minuscule amounts of ephedra in there...

...and I just googled THAT. There is 25mg in each tab.

TY...for weight loss or energy?

Huge energy boost. Plus it acts as a very nice appetite suppressant, so you can eat really clean (IME). Remember to eat and drink because it does cause you to "not be hungry". In conjugation with Aspirin and caffeine it also seems to slightly boost your core temperature which should lead to fat loss. Your mileage may vary on that.

For the price, $15 per box, it's absolutely worth trying IMO.

Nice post Tommy.

To add to that, it ABSOLUTELY is going to increase mobilization of fatty acids for fat burning. IMO, all the other cool sides are just an added bonus.

Yeah it looks like a big dose to me too, especially for a first time user. 400mg is a fkn kick in the ass. Throw in 1 brink aid and a baby aspirin and you will be AMPED.

After thinking about it- I agree guys. One tablet only to start. I would still go 650 mg's on the Aspirin and a big cup o'joe.

I do like two tablets, but initially it caused mild hand tremors and it was fairly potent diuretic. Two tablets does really help with breathing if that is important to your style of training.

increased body temp is one, i took 3 or 4 bronks once plus caffeine and couldn't stop sweating and hyperventilating. i just sat there on my chair naked with two fans blowing on me and a jug of water in my hand for about an hour or so. also raised blood pressure due to the vasoconstricting effects. diarrhea for some people.

you don't really need the aspirin though, there's study that show it interferes with muscle growth. it's only if you're super fat and want to lose a lot.

It's definitely a great alternative to clen. Just be really careful if you have generalized anxiety, test anxiety, public speaking issues and etc. Ephedrine and pseudoephedrine will make your anxiety symptoms a lot worse and a lot harder to control.

Reckless advice for a novice.  This is for guys who have habituated to it already.  Way too much for a beginner.

Take only 1/2 a Bronkaid tab to access your tolerance first.

Aspirin dose is way too high and probably not necessary at all.  If you must take it, take an 81mg baby aspirin.  Too much aspirin causes nasty, potential dangerous medical conditions.

It temporarily shuts down your heart and brain for short 3 second bursts, which tricks your body into 'dying' for those 3 seconds and slightly decomposing. Because it's such a short space of time, necrosis doesn't fully set in and you just get ripped.

Did 1 bronk 1 325 aspirin and cup of java heavy on the java....and was humming today....feel GREAT no sides at all

Right on.  That's the way you build your "supplment" program.   Try something and if it works- you keep it it- if it doesn't work, out it goes.

You can certainly try but falling asleep at bedtime may be quite difficult. I never take Bronkaid after 12 noon, and usually take it around 8:00 am.
