Title: This guy was a monster
Post by: mesmorph78 on July 15, 2011, 03:38:07 PM

Yes, Paul was great. One of my favorites.

It's a shame his career didn't last longer.

DUDES FUCKING UNREAL BIG. SOMETIMES I WONDER HOW ITS EVEN POSSIBLE TO BE THAT BIG, BUT THEN I REALIZE THAT IT'S ALL DRUGS. AND IF U GOT THE SANITY, MONEY, AND WILLPOWER TO INVEST IN IT.

EVEN IF I ABUSE, I WONT EVER LOOK LIKE DILLET, BUT ILL LOOK LIKE A FREAK. THE THING IS THESE GUYS ACCEPTED THAT FACT. HIM AND LEVRONE WHENEVER I SEE THEM OR SOME FREAKY BIG PERSON IN REAL LIFE I ALWAYS JUST WANT TO MAKE A BULK 500-700 ORDER FOR AAS, AND ANOTHER FOR GH AND JUST DO THE WHOLE ALL YOU CAN EAT HORMONA BUFFET FOR 6 MONTHS AND JUST BLOW THE FUCK UP.

THIS WHOLE LEAN 190 IS HUGE IN EVERYDAY LIFESTYLE, BUT THAT...THAT DILLET FELLA...THATS HUGE WHEREVER IT IS.

Paul had sick genetics(excluding back). Absolutely silly physique from the front Heard he was a notoriously lazy trainer though. His posing also sucked.

This is from the first time I saw him in one of the first bodybuilding magazines Id ever bought

Apparently he was  notoriously weak in alot of exercises. His genetics are certainly in the top percentile ever, very few people in history could look the way he did in his prime even with the gear.

Look at the second and third pics...look how he does the wrist clasp MM vs the knuckle to knuckle MM. Look at the diff at what it does to the shoulder width---this is why Ruhl does the knuckle to knuckle MM with elbows flared out...it doesn't scrunch up the shoulders like the wrist clasp does.

It does appear that way by the photo's. However, Kai built himself a base phyisque(Although only a middle weight without the dope but still a decent physique). Which mean if Kai stopped the drugs and quite lifting, you would still see some good density to his physique. The flip side of that is Paul here. Paul trained with very light weight most of his life and really responded well to hormones. Loved his abombs i'm told. However, we have all seen the pictures of an untrained Paul. Looks like he never touched a weight in his life.  ::) So what we have here is two Negro's from opposite side of the spectrum.

Paul was in a class alllllll himself in terms of freaky physiques. If the good lord would've given Paul a back and some posin' skills, he could've been Mr. O 100 x over. No doubt in my mind. Was my fav. bb'er back in the day. My nickname was ( and still is by a good friend of mine ) " P-DIC " ( Paul Dillet's Illegitimate Child ) when I first started liftin' weights. Hehe. Oh, the good ol days.

I was totally in awe of these guys back when these videos came out.   Guys like Coleman, Dillet, Ray, Levrone, and Flex blow away todays pros.  They actually had some personality, and would talk shit to each other and have legit rivalries.  I personally don't give a shit about todays pros.

yeah, because they were bigger fucking idiots than the bbers today.

it's a huge pageant / masturbation festival which has no objective judgment criteria, so not like there's a real "rivalry". ::)

No they weren't. Are you claiming that guys like Yates, Coleman, Ray etc.... weren't 1000x more professional then todays bodybuilders? Even 3rd tier pros like Mattarazzo (sp?) were more interesting then Jay Cutler!

I believe it because he was a lazy shit. Dude pussy footed in the gym, had piss poor work ethic and would stop a workout short once he was starting to feel a little uncomfortable. Dillet's attribute 100% was steroid receptors and genetics.

Shape is good but it's not everything...ask Yates and Cutler with a total of 10 Mr. O's.

Kai kills I mean just absolutely destroys Paul in conditioning and posing
and from the back (in which shows are won),it's not even close...Kai wins...

Open your eyes the only thing impressive about paul is how he can get the physique he had with the pussy training regiment and intensity he had....

Oh yeah, kai just has "good" legs ::)  Please we know your feelings about Kai so it's useless to have a reasonable conversation with you about him
Kai has the BEST legs in bodybuilding right now some of the best conditioning if now the best, EVERYBODY PART is full developed, conditioned separated and most important he is able to display his physique...Yes, Kai has a wide waist and he's still better than paul...All I need to do is post one shot of Paul in a BDB shot and any talk about how awesome he is can be halted.

Dexter?  No...Kai beats him regularly now.
Cormier?  lol...if in shape....good luck with that.
Nassole?  fuck no.
Ray?  Nope, much to small and Kai is in better condition

Give me some names based on the video I posted...I gotta hear this...Kai L. Greene is a true mutant....If he competed back in the 90s the ONLY person that would beat him would be Yates...for now....Coleman would always destroy Kai...because he's Ronnie...There might be others that could get him if he was off but consistantly Kai is better than everyone else even with the wide waist.  too much muscle, too much conditioning and separation and posing is too awesome.

Since this was Kai's last appearance, please tell me who would beat this from the old era?

Ronnie, Dorian, Flex (only if he's in shape....flip a coin),
Dexter?  No...Kai beats him regularly now.
Cormier?  lol...if in shape....good luck with that.
Nassole?  fuck no.
Ray?  Nope, much to small and Kai is in better condition

Dex won Olympia in 08.  Kai's 09 Arnold Classic physique is better than Mr. O Dex.
Forgot about Levrone, this is close, very close, as many know I'm not a big Levrone fan his BDB was never as good as Ray, Wheeler, Colman, Cormier and now Kai...Kai wins....barely.  They would go back and forth depending on conditioning. If they are both 100%, Kai wins.
Please show me video or pics where Corimer beats kai....anytime even 1999 Olympia, Kai is better.

Paul MURDERS Kai. A prime Cormier MURDERS Kai. And I like Kai ! Matter of fact, google " Paul Dillet " and you'll find a couple pics of his BDB. And, honestly, he looks pretty good in the pics. Not great, of course ! But pretty damn good.

Some of you have to understand. Paul competed in an era ( and placed HIGH in quite a few shows ) where damn near EVERYONE looked flawless. Ray, Levrone, Cormier, Coleman, Yates, Cottrell ( sp. ? ), Francois, Wheeler, etc., etc. That's a TOUGH list of competitors. The majority of the pro's competin' today would get their asses handed to them by these guys. That is pure fact ! Do any of you even remember how national-level competitors looked back in the day ?? They looked INSANELY impressive ! E. Fletcher ring a bell ? How about M. Mendenhall ? These are just a couple guys that would KILL today's pro's. Of course, in the end, this is all based on my personal feelings on the issue.

Quite simply, Paul had an extremely impressive physique. Weak points were his back as well as posin'. That's it. 6 feet tall, long muscle bellies, of african-american descent WITH CALVES, and a host of other things. The man wasn't called, " Freakenstein " for nothin'.

I like you, Meso, but why you dislike Kai so much ? It's pretty evident when readin' your posts. Kai's physique may not have the best " flow " to it, however, with the current competition, he reigns supreme. He hasn't just won shows, Meso. He's completely OWNED them and all his competitors. So, yes, he may not have " flow " to his physique, but his bodyparts are so freaky in comparion, that he can't be rivaled.

I've said this a million times, folks ... our current Mr. O is an absolute disgrace to bb'ing in terms of physique ( not personality, mind you ). Kai WILL be Mr. O this year IF he nails it ( which I'm 90 % sure he will ! ). What we really need is an amateur to come into the pro ranks and blow the other competitors away with a 90's-type physique. But ... * sigh * ... I don't see that happenin' anytime soon, unfortunately.

Yes. Thank you addin' to my list ... although ... I don't particulary care for Nasser ( back worse than Dillet's ), Aaron ( holds more water than the Pacific Ocean ), J.P ( never came in as conditioned as he should've ), Roland ( too damn tall and always, imo, looked real lanky next to the competition ... like a Ralph Mueller clone ... although, again imo, a better version ). The rest of the list is perfect. Especially Clairmont.

true.... aside from his back he was definetly one of the greats

aside from his back and HIS HORRIBLE WAY OF POSING!!..

i think he presented his very best early in his very first years as a pro then got bored after realizing he was not going to win big shows like the olympia and the AC.. after 96 i dont think he presented anything close to his best even when he won the NOC!!..

Funny thing is I actually like Kai ... He's the underdog the guy who made it against all odds ... A very cool character humble never arrogant... His build is good for today's standard where shape means nothing see branch and to some extent Jay.... What pisses me off is when people compare him to Coleman ... Flex Or says he's  dillet or Cormier Sean Kevin etc... No way it would be cool to see him win but let's not get carried away in today's climate bbers don't even have to look good to win shows .. Just big and conditioned ...
Kai is good in this climate ... Wouldn't place in the 90's

Always see Paul, nicest guy in the world, told me the story of him and Flex's (wheeler) first visit to the Weider office.....He was scheduled to go right after the north American championships, had no money whatsoever took a one way plane ticket not knowing what to expect, when he got there met with Flex and went in to talk to Weider together....that's when Weider told them that they are working for him and they will each make 100 000 dollars per year for the first 2 years (contract)... they both where like "what" out of shock that they hit the jackpot, then Weider misunderstood them and said..."fine,I will give you guys 120 000..."... when they left they where extremely happy and the next day they both when out and bought 2 brand new corvettes...lol, This is the story directly from Paul himself, don't know for sure if its 100% true or if the figures are exaggerated or what, I certainly believe Paul as we all know Weider was a lot more generous in the 90's.

There wa Flex Wheeler interview  in MM, he said that after he  broke his neck his contract was cut down to 125k, which was about a 3rd or 4th of what his contract with Weider was---Weider had basically blamed the accident on Flex---kinda like the Jason Williams bike incident

My apologies. I was referin' to Roland Kickinger ( sp. ? ), not Roland C. Roland C., I like. :)

And this next paragraph is in response to a couple of posters on page 5 :

1 ) Since when did traps REALLY make a difference in bb'ing ? Traps are pretty much likened to calves. They are just small muscle groups that add a little extra to a physique. Sooooo, Kai has small traps ? So fuckin' what ! LOL ! The rest of his bodyparts are SO FREAKY, that no one really gives two shits about the traps. I mean, come on, the guy's won how many shows now ? Do you honestly think the judges care about Kai's traps ? LOL. Get real, man !

2 ) Yes, Kai has a big belly. A LOT of the competitors do. They all, more or less, use the same cocktail.

3 ) Kai's a midget, huh ? I take it you've never seen Kai in person ? Yup, he's shorter than Coleman ( whom he's usually compared to ), no midget. Some of you seems to forget bb'ing is FULL of short people. If you disagree with me, then you plain don't know shit about bb'ing. Fact.

4 ) Posing is gay ? Posing is part of bb'ing. Has been that was since the beginning of time. Get over it. Kai is a GREAT poser. Sure, he's no Ed Corney, but this is 2011. Some things evolve ... for better or for worse. :/

That's it. Too much Kai hate goin' on lately. The guy is probably one of the nicest, most humble people you'll ever meet in your lives. The man is an artist and philosopher all wrapped up in a bb'er shell. Imo, speaks MUCH better than our last two olympians. Jmo, though.

Would you really say Kai has a good physique ...
Forget size ?
Does he have a better physique than dillet Nasser Coleman flex shawn marko ray Kevin cormier clairmonte baker Nasser
No way .. He has big legs and a big back
He has zero flow... His arms are big but doesn't flow as his torso is too big zero traps so his neck disappears in the fdb ... Huge legs that don't even match his upper org short short torso
Good for today's bbing scene not for the 90
Even Cormier dissed him (I don't think that was cool) said he looks like a frog
Flex said he looks boxy
...  compare Kai to victor before he tore his quad ??
No because victor has a physique that flows

The only thing I remember when watchin' old Nasser vids is this ... why is his back so flat ?? Where's the thickness ? I don't know how ANYONE could miss this ! Lol. Oh, well. And, NO, NO, NO ! Nasser was not the greatest of his era from the front ! Are you insane ??? His arms aren't nearly as big as they should be for a man of his size. Primarily due to his weak triceps. You need to wake up, dude. Seriously. WAKE UP.

Iron disciple

Yes. Yes, I would. Your too caught up in " flow " and " beauty ". Do you really think bb'ing is about beauty ? LOLOLOL ! Ever heard of the NOC show ? That's where the freaks came out to play. No beautiful physiques there ! Not a lot of flow there ! Why do you think bb'ing has taken a HUGE step back over the years, Meso ??? Because judges and FANS want to see BBBBIIIIIGGGGGGGGG bb'ers. They want to see FFFRREEEAAAKKKKSSS ! Kai brings a freakish physique to the stage with " beautiful " posing. Simple as that. Last I checked, the crowd LOVES him.

Answer me this GetBig ... who do the fans cheer for more :

1 ) Dareem Charles with his classic physique, beautiful lines, flowing muscles, and artistic posing ?

OR

2 ) Markus Ruhl who's just a walking freak of fucking nature ?

There's your answer, Meso. Kai's just not good for the current time period. He's pretty close to perfect.

Paul won a NOC, I think 99 or 2000There wa Flex Wheeler interview  in MM, he said that after he  broke his neck his contract was cut down to 125k, which was about a 3rd or 4th of what his contract with Weider was---Weider had basically blamed the accident on Flex---kinda like the Jason Williams bike incident
Certainly, however the contract I am speaking of was 2 years only and was givan before his pro debut...the Ironman, which he won beating labrada and then the Arnold's and second at the O... the contract you speak of would have been at the beginning of a second new contract after having dramatic credentials added to his resume if you will...so 300- 400k sounds about right

Big Traps are one of the tell tale signs of a good bodybuilder...they are a glaring weakness

All right then, Groink. Let's just e-mail and call EVERY single judge that's ever judged Kai's contests. I'm sure we can get them to take back all of Kai's 1rst-place trophies ( which is A LOT ) because his traps are too small.

Hell, guys, if traps mean that much than Johnnie O. Jackson should be Mr. O by now ! This is asinine. Traps complete the physique, however, it SHOULD BE obvious to all of you that it's NOT a necessity. Kai has proved and will prove that even further this fall.

This is too obvious a flaw for a pro at Kai's level. Is it genetics, laziness or injury?

How common is it to tear the trapezuis?

Off-season @ FIBO:

this video of JP fux from AC 96 (his 2nd pro. contest)!!.. it's funny he presented his best shape in his first pro. year then became worse and worse every year!!.. his main weak point was his uncontrollable waist and naturally strange looking abs muscles!!..

One more thing. This goes our to Sherief. STOP with the Nasser BULLSHIT ! Seriously ! You treat the man as if he's a God or somethin'. It's disgustin', really. Nasser was ok. Just " ok ". And please don't talk to me about his high placings ! Lol. He got those because he was the biggest, hardest, and freakiest ... wait for it .............. FROM THE FRONT ! Nasser from the rear made Paul Dillet look like a prime Ronnie Coleman. Just terrible ! So, please, stop with the Nasser bullshit. He's no uncrowned Mr. Olympia. His placings were fair. Perhaps, too fair, at times. :/

More or less, yes. Most things Gh15 says I agree with. Personally though, I feel Gh15 is Dennis James. The way he speaks is very much like D.J and not Nasser, imo. I could be wrong though. Lol.

Emperors new clothes. Kai has the same strengths and weaknesses that Dorian had but he is better.....

Personally i can't stand that type of physique though Kai seems like a good guy.

Also Sherief, Nasser was nowhere near Flex, Cormier, Levrone, Ray and others from the front.

HE'S NASSER. HE GIVES IT AWAY, HE WONT ACKNOWLEDGE IT, BUT HE WANTS TO GIVE IT AWAY.

no i didnt say he beat them more than they did.. read well my boy.. someone said all these guys were better than the wizard from the front so i asked him if they were really better from the front (and we all agree they were better from the rear) so how come he beat them many times??.. if they were really better from both the front and the rear so nasser wouldn't have any chance.. can you get my point now??..

and by the way nasser beat big ron more times than ronnie beat him!!..
