Title: "Protein bars"?
Post by: Meso_z on October 16, 2011, 10:51:52 AM
Anyone uses them for meal substitute?

Or I would be better off with a snickers (At least it has some healthy fats from the peanuts)? Cheaper too

Not regularly but some do taste good and they're convenient.

That's the best fucking bar ever (all flavours except red fruits). Better than any Snickers and Lion, I wouldn't eat anything else if that shit wasn't that expensive.

Mix an oatmeal/proteinshake with healthy fats togheter, stupid!!

Anyways, proteinbars are a waste of money. They may be healthier than regular candy bars, and they may be good to have when your on to the go, but other than that - they are useless indeed. Good for a "healthy cheat" snack though.

chicken breast and bananas

Get a day job, & we will see how you survive without your supps. x6 meals a day (every 2.5hrs) & PWO, sure you are going to do that with a 9/5
You guys must be shit in's that live right next door to the fridge.

Bars are shit though, & over priced.

They have a lot of protein in dont they? Whats the fucking problem.

There is usually a lot of trans fat, sugar, fast carbs etc. in them. The biological protein value is also debatable I guess. Remember, not all protein is good. A simple chicken breast is superior both in quality nutritons and price. Talking about these protein bars made me actually buy one today though, lol! ;D Ordered a big stack of supplements and found my favorite all time best tasting protein bar "Oh yeah", and I just had to buy one. They were actually quite cheap for once as well, only about 4.50$. They are way more expensive out in the stores.

Should be a good snack when I get the cravings.:)
